एष वाजी हितो नृभिर्विश्वविन्मनसस्पतिः । अव्यो वारं वि धावति ॥ (१)

सोम मन के राजा, संसार को जानने वाले और घोड़े के समान तेजी से दौड़ कर द्रोणकलश में जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Soma, the king of the mind, the one who knows the world and runs fast like a horse and goes to Dronakalsh. (1)
एष पवित्रे अक्षरत्सोमो देवेभ्यः सुतः । विश्वा धामान्याविशन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस अमर व पवित्र है. वह देवताओं और उन की पीढ़ियों के लिए झरता है. यह छन कर उन में (देवताओं में) व्याप्त हो जाता है. (२)
EN English Translation
Someras is immortal and holy. He springs to the gods and generations of them. It filters and pervades them (gods). (2)
एष देवः शुभायतेऽधि योनावमर्त्यः । वृत्रहा देववीतमः ॥ (३)

सोम देवताओं को बहुत अधिक भाते हैं. वे देवताओं की दिव्यता (दैवीभाव) को और अधिक बढ़ा देते हैं. वे अमर और शत्रुनाशी हैं. यज्ञ के कलश में सोमरस बहुत अधिक शोभित होता है. (३)
EN English Translation
Soma is very much liked by the gods. They further increase the divinity (divineness) of the gods. They are immortal and hostile. Someras is very much adorned in the kalash of yajna. (3)
एष वृषा कनिक्रदद्दशभिर्जामिभिर्यतः । अभि द्रोणानि धावति ॥ (४)

दसों अंगुलियां मसलमसल कर सोमरस को निचोड़ती हैं. यह शक्तिशाली है. यह आवाज करता व दौड़ता हुआ द्रोणकलश में पहुंचता है. (४)
EN English Translation
Ten fingers muscles and squeeze somers. It's powerful. It makes a sound and runs and reaches Dronakalsh. (4)
एष सूर्यमरोचयत्पवमानो अधि द्यवि । पवित्रे मत्सरो मदः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वर्गलोक पवित्रकारी है. सोमरस स्वर्गलोक में आनंद देने वाला है. पवित्र और छाना हुआ सोमरस सूर्य को प्रकाशित करने की सामर्थ्य रखता है. (५)
EN English Translation
Heaven is holy. Someras is the one who gives joy in heaven. The holy and filtered Somerus has the power to illuminate the sun. (5)
एष सूर्येण हासते संवसानो विवस्वता । पतिर्वाचो अदाभ्यः ॥ (६)

सोम बंधनमुक्त, उपासना योग्य व तेजस्वी हैं. सूर्य देव जल, वायु आदि पांच तत्त्वों में मिलने के लिए इसे छोड़ते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Som is free from bondage, worshipable and radiant. The Sun God leaves it to meet the five elements of water, air etc. (6)
