हे इंद्र! आप शत्रुओं का सर्वनाश करने वाले हैं. आप हमें भरपूर धन दीजिए. हम उसी के लिए आप की उपासना करते हैं. (१)

O Indra! You are going to destroy enemies. You give us plenty of money. We worship you for that. (1)

हे इंद्र! आप ज्ञाता हैं. आप ऋतु के अनुकूल कार्य करते हैं. आप का प्रसिद्ध नाम इंद्र है. हम आप की उपासना करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a knower. You work according to the season. Your famous name is Indra. We worship you. (2)
ब्रह्माण इन्द्रं महयन्तो अर्कैरवर्धयन्नहये हन्तवा उ ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! हम आप के यज्ञ की बढ़ोतरी करते हैं. हम अहि राक्षस के नाश के लिए बुद्धिपूर्वक रचे गए मंत्रों से आप की स्तुति करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We increase your yajna. We praise you with wisely composed mantras for the destruction of the demon. (3)
अनवस्ते रथमश्वाय तक्षुस्त्वष्टा वज्रं पुरुहूत द्युमन्तम् ॥ (४)

हे इंद्र! कई ऋषि मुनि आप की उपासना करते हैं. देवताओं ने आप के घोड़ों के लिए रथ बनाया है. त्वष्टा (देवताओं के शिल्पकार) ने आप के लिए द्युमान (चमचमाते) वज्र का निर्माण किया है. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Many sages worship you. The gods have made chariots for your horses. Tvashta (the architect of the gods) has created the Duman (gleaming) Vajra for you. (4)
शं पदं मघँ रयीषिणो न काममव्रतो हिनोति न स्पृशद्रयिम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यजमान देवताओं की कृपा से धन व सुख की प्राप्ति करते हैं. वे अच्छे भवन की प्राप्ति करते हैं. जो यज्ञयाग नहीं करते, उन्हें इन सब की प्राप्ति नहीं होती है. (५)
EN English Translation
Hosts get wealth and happiness by the grace of the gods. They get a good building. Those who do not perform yajnayaag do not get all this. (5)

हे यजमानो! गाएं पवित्र व पाप रहित होती हैं. वे सभी प्राणियों (विश्व) का भरणपोषण करने वाली होती हैं. (६)

O hosts! Cows are pure and sin-free. They are the sustainer of all beings (the world). (6)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उषा! आप आइए. आप दूध से भरे थनों वाली गायों को वन से साथ ले कर पधारिए. (७)

O Usha! You come. You take cows with milk-filled udders from the forest. (7)
उप प्रक्षे मधुमति क्षियन्तः पुष्येम रयिं धीमहे त इन्द्र ॥ (८)

हे इंद्र! हम मधुयुक्त चम्मचों से झरता हुआ धनधान्य पाएं. हम आप के पास रहने के लिए इच्छुक हैं. हम आप से धन पाना चाहते हैं. हम आप का ध्यान धरते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We get money by flowing with honey spoons. We are willing to stay near you. We want to get money from you. We take care of you. (8)
अर्चन्त्यर्कं मरुतः स्वर्क्का आ स्तोभति श्रुतो युवा स इन्द्रः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुद्गण! आप उत्तम व प्रकाशमान हैं. इंद्र उपासना के योग्य हैं. हम उन की उपासना करते हैं. इंद्र जवान, प्रसिद्ध व शत्रुनाशक हैं. (९)

O Desertion! You are excellent and bright. Indra is worthy of worship. We worship them. Indra is young, famous and hostile. (9)
प्र व इन्द्राय वृत्रहन्तमाय विप्राय गाथं गायत यं जुजोषते ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप वृत्र का नाश करने वाले इंद्र के लिए गाथाएं गाइए. आप ब्राह्मण के लिए जिन गाथाओं को गाएंगे, उन्हें वे प्रसन्न हो कर सुनते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You sing stories for Indra, who destroyed the tree. The stories you will sing for brahmins, they listen to them with joy. (10)
