प्र तु द्रव परि कोशं नि षीद नृभिः पुनानो अभि वाजमर्ष । अश्वं न त्वा वाजिनं मर्जयन्तोऽच्छा बर्ही रशनाभिर्नयन्ति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शीघ्र आइए. आप कलश में विराजिए. यजमान आप को पवित्र करते हैं. आप यजमान को अन्न व धन दीजिए. जैसे बलवान घोड़े की रस्सी अंगुली से पकड़ कर उस को शुद्ध किया जाता है, वैसे ही यजमान पवित्र कर के आप को यज्ञशाला तक पहुंचाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You come soon. You sit in the urn. The host sanctifies you. You give food and money to the host. Just as the rope of a strong horse is caught with the finger and purified, in the same way, the host sanctifies you and takes you to the Yagyashala. (1)
प्र काव्यमुशनेव ब्रुवाणो देवो देवानां जनिमा विवक्ति । महिव्रतः शुचिबन्धुः पावकः पदा वराहो अभ्येति रेभन् ॥ (२)

यजमान उशना ऋषि की तरह स्तोत्रों का पाठ करते हैं. वे देवताओं से संबंधित वृत्तांत बताते हैं. वे ब्रती हैं. सोमरस प्रकाशमान व पवित्रकारी है. उत्तम सोमरस आवाज करते हुए कलश में छनता है. (२)
EN English Translation
The host recites the stotras like Ushna Rishi. They tell accounts related to the gods. They are bratis. Someras is enlightening and pious. The best somers makes a sound and filters in the urn. (2)
तिस्रो वाच ईरयति प्र वह्निरृतस्य धीतिं ब्रह्मणो मनीषाम् । गावो यन्ति गोपतिं पृच्छमानाः सोमं यन्ति मतयो वावशानाः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यजमान ऋग्वेद, यजुर्वेद और सामवेद के मंत्रों से सोम की स्तुति करते हैं. उन की स्तुति ज्ञानमय है. वह स्तुति यज्ञ को धारण करने वाली है. जैसे गायों के पास बैल जाते हैं, वैसे ही आराधक उत्तम सुख की इच्छा से सोम के पास स्तुति करने के लिए जाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The host praises Soma with the mantras of RigVeda, Yajurveda and Samaveda. Praise to them is enlightening. She is going to wear the praise sacrifice. Just as bulls go to cows, so worshipers go to Soma to praise him with the desire for good happiness. (3)
अस्य प्रेषा हेमना पूयमानो देवो देवेभिः समपृक्त रसम् । सुतः पवित्रं पर्येति रेभन्मितेव सद्म पशुमन्ति होता ॥ (४)

सोमरस सोने से शुद्ध किया गया है. यह दिव्य और पवित्र है. इसे देवताओं को चढ़ाया जाता है. निचोड़ा गया सोमरस वैसे ही पात्र में जाता है, जैसे ग्वाला गाय के बाड़े में जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
Somers has been purified from gold. It is divine and sacred. It is offered to the gods. The squeezed someras goes into the vessel just like a cowherd goes into a cow enclosure. (4)
सोमः पवते जनिता मतीनां जनिता दिवो जनिता पृथिव्याः । जनिताग्नेर्जनिता सूर्यस्य जनितेन्द्रस्य जनितोत विष्णोः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस बुद्धिदायी, स्वर्गलोक को प्रकाशित करने वाला, पृथ्वी को पुष्ट करने वाला व आनंददायी है. वह अग्नि, इंद्र और विष्णु को आनंद देने वाला है. इसे पात्र में तैयार किया जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
Someras is intelligent, illuminating the land of heaven, strengthening the earth and enjoying. He is going to give joy to Agni, Indra and Vishnu. It is prepared in the vessel. (5)
अभि त्रिपृष्ठं वृषणं वयोधामाङ्गोषिणमवावशन्त वाणीः । वना वसानो वरुणो न सिन्धूर्वि रत्नधा दयते वार्याणि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम तीन स्थानों अंतरिक्ष, वनस्पति और शरीर में वास करने वाले हैं. वे शक्तिमान और अन्नदाता हैं. उपासक ऊंची वाणी से उन की स्तुति करते हैं. जल के देवता वरुण की तरह जल में मिलने वाले सोम उपासकों को धन देते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Som are the three places to inhabit space, vegetation and body. They are powerful and food providers. Worshippers praise them with high speech. Like Varuna, the god of water, Soma gives money to the worshippers found in the water. (6)
अक्रान्त्समुद्रः प्रथमे विधर्मं जनयन्प्रजा भुवनस्य गोपाः । वृषा पवित्रे अधि सानो अव्ये बृहत्सोमो वावृधे स्वानो अद्रिः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम जलमय हैं. वे यज्ञ के रक्षक, इच्छा पूरक और शक्तिवर्धक हैं. वे यजमानों को सब से ज्यादा उत्साह और उन्नति देने वाले हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Som is jealous. They are the protectors of yajna, will supplementation and strength giver. They are going to give the hosts the most enthusiasm and progress. (7)
कनिक्रन्ति हरिरा सृज्यमानः सीदन्वनस्य जठरे पुनानः । नृभिर्यतः कृणुते निर्णिजं गामतो मतिं जनयत स्वधाभिः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यजमान सब ओर से दबा व कूट कर सोमरस निकालते हैं. वह हरा व पवित्र है. वह लकड़ी के बरतन में गिरता हुआ बारबार आवाज करता है. उसे गाय के दूध में मिलाया जाता है. इस से हवि बनाई जाती है. यजमान इस की स्तुति करते हैं. (८)

The host presses and crushes from all sides and removes somersas. He is green and holy. He makes a sound repeatedly falling into the wooden vessel. It is added to cow's milk. Havi is made from this. The hosts praise it. (8)
एष स्य ते मधुमाँ इन्द्र सोमो वृषा वृष्णः परि पवित्रे अक्षाः । सहस्रदाः शतदा भूरिदावा शश्वत्तमं बर्हिरा वाज्यस्थात् ॥ (९)

हे इंद्र! आप का प्रिय सोमरस इच्छा पूरी करता है. आप के लिए यह मधुर शक्तिदायी सोमरस छन रहा है. यह सैकड़ों, हजारों प्रकार का धन देने वाला है. सोम प्राचीन काल से ही यज्ञ में जा कर विराजते हैं. (९)

O Indra! Your beloved Somerus fulfills the desire. This sweet powerful Somersa is filtering for you. It is going to give hundreds, thousands of types of money. Som has been sitting in the yagna since ancient times. (9)
पवस्व सोम मधुमाँ ऋतावापो वसानो अधि सानो अव्ये । अव द्रोणानि घृतवन्ति रोह मदिन्तमो मत्सर इन्द्रपानः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप मधुर, जल में मिलने वाले व ऊंचे स्थान पर विराजते हैं. आप छन कर पवित्र होते हैं. आप आनंददायी व इंद्र के लिए जल में मिल कर तैयार होते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You sit in a sweet, watery and high place. You are pure by filtering. You are ready to be happy and ready in water for Indra. (10)
