या ओष॑धीः॒ पूर्वा॑ जा॒ता दे॒वेभ्य॑स्त्रियु॒गं पु॒रा । मनै॒ नु ब॒भ्रूणा॑म॒हं श॒तं धामा॑नि स॒प्त च॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो ओषधियां प्राचीन काल में तीन युगों में देवों से उत्पन्न हुई हैं, मैं मानता हूं कि वे पीले रंग की ओषधियां एक सौ सात स्थानों में स्थित हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The herbs that originated from the gods in three ages in ancient times, I believe that those yellow-colored herbs are located in one hundred and seven places. (1)
श॒तं वो॑ अम्ब॒ धामा॑नि स॒हस्र॑मु॒त वो॒ रुहः॑ । अधा॑ शतक्रत्वो यू॒यमि॒मं मे॑ अग॒दं कृ॑त ॥ (२)

हे माता के समान ओषधियो! तुम्हारे जन्म सौ एवं तुम्हारे प्ररोहण हजार हैं. हे सौ कर्मो वाली ओषधियो! तुम मुझे निरोग करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O mother-like drugs! Your births are hundred and your ascents are thousand. O a hundred-doers! You make me healthy. (2)
ओष॑धीः॒ प्रति॑ मोदध्वं॒ पुष्प॑वतीः प्र॒सूव॑रीः । अश्वा॑ इव स॒जित्व॑रीर्वी॒रुधः॑ पारयि॒ष्ण्वः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे फूल और फल वाली ओषधियो! तुम इस रोगी के प्रति प्रसन्न बनो. तुम अश्चों के समान जयशील, उत्पन्न होने वाली एवं रोगियों को रोगों से पार करने वाली हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O flowers and fruit-bearing herbs! Be pleased with this patient. You are as joyful as the ashes, the one who arises and the patients are about to overcome diseases. (3)
ओष॑धी॒रिति॑ मातर॒स्तद्वो॑ देवी॒रुप॑ ब्रुवे । स॒नेय॒मश्वं॒ गां वास॑ आ॒त्मानं॒ तव॑ पूरुष ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे माता के समान दिव्य ओषधियो! मैं तुम्हारे संबंधी वैद्य से इस प्रकार कहता हूं-“हे चिकित्सक! मैं तुम्हें घोड़ा, गाय, वस्त्र एवं स्वयं को दे सकता हूं.” (४)
EN English Translation
O divine medicines like mother! I say to your relative's physician like this: "O doctor! I can give you a horse, a cow, a garment and myself." (4)
अ॒श्व॒त्थे वो॑ नि॒षद॑नं प॒र्णे वो॑ वस॒तिष्कृ॒ता । गो॒भाज॒ इत्किला॑सथ॒ यत्स॒नव॑थ॒ पूरु॑षम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओषधियो! तुम पीपल के वृक्ष पर रहती हो एवं पलाश वृक्ष पर तुम्हारा निवासस्थान है. जब तुम रोगी पुरुष पर कृपा करती हो, तब तुम गाय पाने की अधिकारिणी बनती हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O ladies! You live on the peepal tree and on the Palash tree is your abode. When you have mercy on a sick man, you become the right to get a cow. (5)
यत्रौष॑धीः स॒मग्म॑त॒ राजा॑नः॒ समि॑ताविव । विप्रः॒ स उ॑च्यते भि॒षग्र॑क्षो॒हामी॑व॒चात॑नः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
युद्ध में एकत्र होने वाले राजा लोगों के समान जिस व्यक्ति के पास सभी ओषधियां होती हैं, उसे ब्राह्मण या भिषक् कहते हैं. वह रोगों का नाश करता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Like the kings who gather in war, the person who has all the herbs is called a Brahmin or a bhishka. He destroys diseases. (6)
अ॒श्वा॒व॒तीं सो॑माव॒तीमू॒र्जय॑न्ती॒मुदो॑जसम् । आवि॑त्सि॒ सर्वा॒ ओष॑धीर॒स्मा अ॑रि॒ष्टता॑तये ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं इस रोग का विनाश करने के लिए अश्ववती, सोमवती, ऊर्जयंती, उदोजस आदि सभी ओषधियों की स्तुति करता हूं. (७)
EN English Translation
I praise all the herbs like Ashwavati, Somvati, Urjayanti, Udojas etc. for destroying this disease. (7)
उच्छुष्मा॒ ओष॑धीनां॒ गावो॑ गो॒ष्ठादि॑वेरते । धनं॑ सनि॒ष्यन्ती॑नामा॒त्मानं॒ तव॑ पूरुष ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगी पुरुष! ओषधियों से बल उसी प्रकार बाहर निकलता है, जिस प्रकार गोशाला से गाएं बाहर जाती हैं. ये ओषधियां तुम्हें स्वास्थ्यरूपी धन देती हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O patient man! The force comes out of the herbs in the same way as the cows go out of the goshala. These herbs give you healthy wealth. (8)
इष्कृ॑ति॒र्नाम॑ वो मा॒ताथो॑ यू॒यं स्थ॒ निष्कृ॑तीः । सी॒राः प॑त॒त्रिणीः॑ स्थन॒ यदा॒मय॑ति॒ निष्कृ॑थ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओषधियो! तुम्हारी माता का नाम इष्कृति अर्थात् रोगविनाशिका है, इसलिए तुम भी इष्कृति हो. तुम रोग को बाहर निकालने वाली एवं पतनयुक्त हो. तुम रोगी को स्वस्थ करो. (९)
EN English Translation
O ladies! Your mother's name is Ishkriti i.e. Rogini, so you are also a godly. You are going to remove the disease and fallout. You make the patient healthy. (9)
अति॒ विश्वाः॑ परि॒ष्ठाः स्ते॒न इ॑व व्र॒जम॑क्रमुः । ओष॑धीः॒ प्राचु॑च्यवु॒र्यत्किं च॑ त॒न्वो॒३॒॑ रपः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सर्वत्र व्याप्त एवं सब ओर स्थित ओषधियां रोगों को इस प्रकार लांघ जाती हैं, जिस प्रकार चोर गोशाला को लांघ जाता है. शरीर में जो भी व्याधि होती है, उसे ओषधियां नष्ट करती हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
All over and around the medicines are covered with diseases in such a way that the thief overtakes the goshala. Whatever disease occurs in the body, it is destroyed by the medicines. (10)
यदि॒मा वा॒जय॑न्न॒हमोष॑धी॒र्हस्त॑ आद॒धे । आ॒त्मा यक्ष्म॑स्य नश्यति पु॒रा जी॑व॒गृभो॑ यथा ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जब मैं रोगी को शक्तिशाली बनाता हुआ इन ओषधियों को हाथ में लेता हूं, तब रोग की आत्मा उसी प्रकार न्ट होती है, जैसे मृत्यु से जीव नष्ट हो जाता है. (११)
EN English Translation
When I take these herbs in my hand, making the patient powerful, the soul of the disease is as it is that the organism is destroyed by death. (11)
यस्यौ॑षधीः प्र॒सर्प॒थाङ्ग॑मङ्गं॒ परु॑ष्परुः । ततो॒ यक्ष्मं॒ वि बा॑धध्व उ॒ग्रो म॑ध्यम॒शीरि॑व ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओषधियो! तुम जिसके अंगअंग एवं गांठगांठ में आश्रय लेती हो, उसके शरीर से रोग इस प्रकार दूर कर देती हो, जिस प्रकार शक्तिशाली राजा चोर को देश से निकाल देता है. (१२)
EN English Translation
O ladies! The disease is removed from the body of the one whose limbs and lumps you take shelter in such a way that the mighty king drives the thief out of the country. (12)
सा॒कं य॑क्ष्म॒ प्र प॑त॒ चाषे॑ण किकिदी॒विना॑ । सा॒कं वात॑स्य॒ ध्राज्या॑ सा॒कं न॑श्य नि॒हाक॑या ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे व्याधि! तुम नीलकंठ, बाज, वायु अथवा गोह के समान रोगी के शरीर से जल्दी दूर चली जाओ. (१३)
EN English Translation
This sickness! You should quickly move away from the patient's body like the Neelkanth, hawk, air or goh. (13)
अ॒न्या वो॑ अ॒न्याम॑वत्व॒न्यान्यस्या॒ उपा॑वत । ताः सर्वाः॑ संविदा॒ना इ॒दं मे॒ प्राव॑ता॒ वचः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओषधियो! तुम में से पहली दूसरी के और दूसरी तीसरी के पास जावे. इस प्रकार सब ओषधियां मिलकर मेरे वचन की रक्षा करें. (१४)
EN English Translation
O ladies! Let the first of you go to the second and the second to the third. So let all the drugs come together to protect My word. (14)
याः फ॒लिनी॒र्या अ॑फ॒ला अ॑पु॒ष्पा याश्च॑ पु॒ष्पिणीः॑ । बृह॒स्पति॑प्रसूता॒स्ता नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बृहस्पति से उत्पन्न फलसहित, फलरहित, पुष्परहित एवं पुष्पयुक्त ओषधियां हमें रोग से बचावें. (१५)
EN English Translation
Fruitless, fruitless, flowerless and flowery herbs produced from Jupiter protect us from disease. (15)
मु॒ञ्चन्तु॑ मा शप॒थ्या॒३॒॑दथो॑ वरु॒ण्या॑दु॒त । अथो॑ य॒मस्य॒ पड्बी॑शा॒त्सर्व॑स्माद्देवकिल्बि॒षात् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ओषधियां मुझे झूठी कसम खाने के पाप से, वरुण के पाश से, यम की बेड़ी से एवं सभी देवों के पाश से बचावें. (१६)
EN English Translation
May the herbs protect me from the sin of false oath, from the loop of Varuna, from the shackles of Yama and from the loop of all gods. (16)
अ॒व॒पत॑न्तीरवदन्दि॒व ओष॑धय॒स्परि॑ । यं जी॒वम॒श्नवा॑महै॒ न स रि॑ष्याति॒ पूरु॑षः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ओषधियों ने स्वर्ग से नीचे उतरते समय कहा था कि हम जिस जीवित व्यक्ति में प्रवेश कर जाती हैं, वह नष्ट नहीं होता. (१७)
EN English Translation
The ushadhis, when they came down from heaven, said that the living person we enter into is not destroyed. (17)
या ओष॑धीः॒ सोम॑राज्ञीर्ब॒ह्वीः श॒तवि॑चक्षणाः । तासां॒ त्वम॑स्युत्त॒मारं॒ कामा॑य॒ शं हृ॒दे ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओषधि! जो ओषधियां सोम राजा की प्रजा हैं, अगणित एवं अति कुशल हैं, तुम उन में उत्तम हो. तुम अभिलाषा को पूर्ण करके मन को शांति दो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O medicine! You are the best of those medicines who are the subjects of Soma Raja, uncountable and very skilled. You fulfill the desire and give peace to the mind. (18)
या ओष॑धीः॒ सोम॑राज्ञी॒र्विष्ठि॑ताः पृथि॒वीमनु॑ । बृह॒स्पति॑प्रसूता अ॒स्यै सं द॑त्त वी॒र्य॑म् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो ओषधियां! सोम राजा की प्रजा हैं, स्वर्ग से आकर धरती पर फैली हैं एवं वृहस्पति से उत्पन्न हैं, वे इस रोगी को शक्ति दें. (१९)
EN English Translation
The medicines! Soma is the subjects of the king, has come from heaven and spread on the earth and is born of Jupiter, may he give strength to this patient. (19)
मा वो॑ रिषत्खनि॒ता यस्मै॑ चा॒हं खना॑मि वः । द्वि॒पच्चतु॑ष्पद॒स्माकं॒ सर्व॑मस्त्वनातु॒रम् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओषधियो! मैं तुम्हारा खोदने वाला हूं. तुम मुझे नष्ट मत करना. मैं जिनके लिए तुम्हें खोदता हूं, उसे भी नष्ट मत करना. हमारे दो पैर एवं चार पैरों वाले जीव रोगरहित हों. (२०)
EN English Translation
O ladies! I'm going to dig yours. Don't you destroy me. Don't destroy even those for whom I dig you. Our two-legged and four-legged creatures are disease-free. (20)
याश्चे॒दमु॑पशृ॒ण्वन्ति॒ याश्च॑ दू॒रं परा॑गताः । सर्वाः॑ सं॒गत्य॑ वीरुधो॒ऽस्यै सं द॑त्त वी॒र्य॑म् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो ओषधियां मेरा यह स्तोत्र सुन रही हैं अथवा जो दूर चली गई हैं, वे सब एकत्र होकर इस रोगी को शक्ति दें. (२१)
EN English Translation
All the medicines that are listening to this hymn of mine or who have gone away, come together and give strength to this patient. (21)
ओष॑धयः॒ सं व॑दन्ते॒ सोमे॑न स॒ह राज्ञा॑ । यस्मै॑ कृ॒णोति॑ ब्राह्म॒णस्तं रा॑जन्पारयामसि ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ओषधियां राजा सोम के साथ इस प्रकार बातचीत करती हैं-“हे राजा! स्तोता ब्राह्मण जिसका इलाज करता है, हम उसीको बचाती हैं.” (२२)
EN English Translation
The oshdis interact with King Mon like this- "O King! We save the one whom the Stota Brahmin treats." (22)
त्वमु॑त्त॒मास्यो॑षधे॒ तव॑ वृ॒क्षा उप॑स्तयः । उप॑स्तिरस्तु॒ सो॒३॒॑ऽस्माकं॒ यो अ॒स्माँ अ॑भि॒दास॑ति ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ओषधियो! तुम सबसे श्रेष्ठ हो. सभी वृक्ष तुमसे निम्न हैं. जो हमें हानि पहुंचाता है, वह हमसे नीचा बने. (२३)
EN English Translation
O ladies! You are the best. All the trees are below you. Let him who harms us be inferior to us. (23)
