इ॒मा गिर॑ आदि॒त्येभ्यो॑ घृ॒तस्नूः॑ स॒नाद्राज॑भ्यो जु॒ह्वा॑ जुहोमि । शृ॒णोतु॑ मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा भगो॑ नस्तुविजा॒तो वरु॑णो॒ दक्षो॒ अंशः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं सुंदर आदित्यों के लिए घृत टपकाने वाले ये स्तुति रूपी वचन सदा प्रस्तुत करता हूं मित्र, अर्यमा, भग, अनेक देशों में उदभूत वरुण, दक्ष एवं अंश मेरा वचन सुनें. (१)
EN English Translation
I always present these words of praise to the beautiful Adityas, friends, Aryama, Bhaga, Varuna, Daksha and Ansh who have originated in many countries, listen to my word. (1)
इ॒मं स्तोमं॒ सक्र॑तवो मे अ॒द्य मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा वरु॑णो जुषन्त । आ॒दि॒त्यासः॒ शुच॑यो॒ धार॑पूता॒ अवृ॑जिना अनव॒द्या अरि॑ष्टाः ॥ (२)

दीप्यमान्, पवित्र, सब पर अनुग्रह करने वाले, अनिंदनीय, दूसरों द्वारा अहिंसित एवं समान कार्य करने वाले मित्र, अर्यमा एवं वरुण नामक अदितिपुत्र आज मेरे इस स्तोत्र को सुनें, (२)
EN English Translation
The deepest, the holy, the gracious, the indignificant, the friend who does non-violent and equal acts by others, the son of Aditi, Aryama and Varuna, listen to this hymn of mine today, (2)
त आ॑दि॒त्यास॑ उ॒रवो॑ गभी॒रा अद॑ब्धासो॒ दिप्स॑न्तो भूर्य॒क्षाः । अ॒न्तः प॑श्यन्ति वृजि॒नोत सा॒धु सर्वं॒ राज॑भ्यः पर॒मा चि॒दन्ति॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान्, गंभीर, शत्रुओं द्वारा अहिंसित, शत्रुनाश के अभिलाषी तथा अमित तेजस्वी अदितिपुत्र प्राणियों के अंतःकरण में रहने के कारण उनके पापपुण्यों को देखते हैं. प्रकाशमान आदित्यों के लिए दूर की वस्तु भी पास ही है. (३)
EN English Translation
The great, the serious, the non-violent by the enemies, the desir of the enemy, and amit the brilliant Aditiputra, see their sins because of their lives in the hearts of the creatures. The distant object for the luminous Adityas is also nearby. (3)
धा॒रय॑न्त आदि॒त्यासो॒ जग॒त्स्था दे॒वा विश्व॑स्य॒ भुव॑नस्य गो॒पाः । दी॒र्घाधि॑यो॒ रक्ष॑माणा असु॒र्य॑मृ॒तावा॑न॒श्चय॑माना ऋ॒णानि॑ ॥ (४)

स्थावर एवं जंगम को धारण करते हुए आदित्य देव संपूर्ण संसार की रक्षा करते हैं विशाल यज्ञों के स्वामी वे आदित्य प्राण के हेलु जल की रक्षा करते हैं. वे सत्ययुक्त एवं स्तोताओं को ऋणरहित बनाने वाले हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Wearing sthavar and jangam, Aditya Dev protects the whole world, the lord of huge sacrifices, he protects the helu water of Aditya Prana. They are going to make truthful and hymns debtless. (4)
वि॒द्यामा॑दित्या॒ अव॑सो वो अ॒स्य यद॑र्यमन्भ॒य आ चि॑न्मयो॒भु । यु॒ष्माकं॑ मित्रावरुणा॒ प्रणी॑तौ॒ परि॒ श्वभ्रे॑व दुरि॒तानि॑ वृज्याम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे आदित्यगण! हम तुम्हारी रक्षा प्राप्त करें. तुम्हारा सहारा भय उपस्थित होने पर सुख देता है. हे अर्यमा, मित्र और वरुण! जिस प्रकार रास्ता चलने वाले गङ्ढों को छोड़ देते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम्हारे अनुगामी बनकर हम पापों का त्याग कर दें. (५)
EN English Translation
Hey Adityagan! We get your protection. Your support gives happiness when fear is present. Hey Aryama, friend and Varun! Just as those who walk the way leave the donkeys, so let us as your followers and forsake sins. (5)
सु॒गो हि वो॑ अर्यमन्मित्र॒ पन्था॑ अनृक्ष॒रो व॑रुण सा॒धुरस्ति॑ । तेना॑दित्या॒ अधि॑ वोचता नो॒ यच्छ॑ता नो दुष्परि॒हन्तु॒ शर्म॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अर्यमा, मित्र एवं वरुण! तुम्हारा पथ सुगम, निष्कंटक एवं सुंदर है. हे आदित्यगण! हमें उसी मार्ग से ले चलो, मधुर वचन बोलो तथा हमें अविनाशी सुख प्रदान करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Aryama, friend and Varun! Your path is smooth, smooth and beautiful. Hey Adityagan! Lead us down the same path, speak sweet words and give us indestructible happiness. (6)
पिप॑र्तु नो॒ अदि॑ती॒ राज॑पु॒त्राति॒ द्वेषां॑स्यर्य॒मा सु॒गेभिः॑ । बृ॒हन्मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ शर्मोप॑ स्याम पुरु॒वीरा॒ अरि॑ष्टाः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मित्र आदि सुंदर पुत्रों की माता अदिति हमें शत्रुओं को पराभव करने वाले मार्ग से ले चलें. हम अनेक वीर पुत्रं से युक्त एवं अन्यों द्वारा अहिंसित होकर मित्र तथा वरुण का सुख प्राप्त करें. (७)
EN English Translation
Aditi, the mother of beautiful sons like friends, etc., may we take us through the path of defeating our enemies. May we enjoy the happiness of friends and Varuna by being unsung by many brave sons and others. (7)
ति॒स्रो भूमी॑र्धारय॒न्त्रीँरु॒त द्यून्त्रीणि॑ व्र॒ता वि॒दथे॑ अ॒न्तरे॑षाम् । ऋ॒तेना॑दित्या॒ महि॑ वो महि॒त्वं तद॑र्यमन्वरुण मित्र॒ चारु॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अदितिपुत्र धरती, आकाश, स्वर्ग तीनों लोकों एवं अग्नि, वायु, सूर्य तीनों तेजों को धारण करते है तथा इनके यज्ञों में तीन व्रत स्थिर हैं. हे आदित्यो! यज्ञ से तुम्हारी महिमा बढ़ी है. हे अर्यमा, वरुण एवं मित्र! तुम्हारा महत्त्व सुंदर है. (८)
EN English Translation
Aditiputra holds the three realms of earth, sky, heaven and agni, air, sun, and three fasts are stable in their yagnas. Hey Aditya! Your glory has been enhanced by yajna. O Aryama, Varun and friends! Your importance is beautiful. (8)
त्री रो॑च॒ना दि॒व्या धा॑रयन्त हिर॒ण्ययाः॒ शुच॑यो॒ धार॑पूताः । अस्व॑प्नजो अनिमि॒षा अद॑ब्धा उरु॒शंसा॑ ऋ॒जवे॒ मर्त्या॑य ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वर्णाभूषण धारण करने वाले, दीप्तियुक्त, पवित्र, निद्रारहित, निमेषहीन, असुरों द्वारा अहिंसित एवं सब लोगों द्वारा स्तुति योग्य अदितिपुत्र सरल मनुष्यों के लिए अग्नि, वायु एवं सूर्य तीन तेज धारण करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The son of Aditi, who wears a golden jewel, is radiant, holy, sleepless, nimeshless, unmindful by the asuras and admired by all people, the son of Aditi, who wears three bright ones, wears agni, air and sun for simple men. (9)
त्वं विश्वे॑षां वरुणासि॒ राजा॒ ये च॑ दे॒वा अ॑सुर॒ ये च॒ मर्ताः॑ । श॒तं नो॑ रास्व श॒रदो॑ वि॒चक्षे॒ऽश्यामायूं॑षि॒ सुधि॑तानि॒ पूर्वा॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वरुण! चाहे असुर हों, देव हों अथवा मनुष्य हों, तुम सबके राजा हो. हमें सौ वर्ष तक देखने की शक्ति दो. हम पूर्वजों द्वारा भोगी हुई अवस्था को प्राप्त करें. (१०)
EN English Translation
Hey Varun! Whether it is asuras, gods or human beings, you are the king of all. Give us the power to see for a hundred years. We get the state enjoyed by the ancestors. (10)
न द॑क्षि॒णा वि चि॑किते॒ न स॒व्या न प्रा॒चीन॑मादित्या॒ नोत प॒श्चा । पा॒क्या॑ चिद्वसवो धी॒र्या॑ चिद्यु॒ष्मानी॑तो॒ अभ॑यं॒ ज्योति॑रश्याम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वासदाता अदितिपुत्रो! हम दायां, बायां, सामने, पीछे कुछ भी नहीं जानते. मुझ अपरिपक्व ज्ञान एवं धैर्यरहित को यदि तुम उत्तम मार्ग से ले जाओगे तो मैं भयरहित ज्योति पाऊंगा. (११)
EN English Translation
O daughter of the inhabitants! We don't know anything right, left, front, back. If you lead Me through the best way of my immature knowledge and without patience, I will find light without fear. (11)
यो राज॑भ्य ऋत॒निभ्यो॑ द॒दाश॒ यं व॒र्धय॑न्ति पु॒ष्टय॑श्च॒ नित्याः॑ । स रे॒वान्या॑ति प्रथ॒मो रथे॑न वसु॒दावा॑ वि॒दथे॑षु प्रश॒स्तः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान सुशोभित एवं यज्ञ के नेता आदित्यों को हव्य देता है तथा पोषक आदित्य जिसको नित्य बढ़ाते हैं, वही धन का स्वामी, प्रसिद्ध, धन दान करने वाला एवं सब लोगों की प्रशंसा करके रथ के द्वारा यज्ञस्थल में आता है. (१२)
EN English Translation
The host who adorns and gives a greeting to the adityas, the leader of the yagna, and the nurturer Aditya, whom he increases regularly, the lord of wealth, the famous, the one who donates wealth and praises all the people, comes to the yagna sthal through the chariot. (12)
शुचि॑र॒पः सू॒यव॑सा॒ अद॑ब्ध॒ उप॑ क्षेति वृ॒द्धव॑याः सु॒वीरः॑ । नकि॒ष्टं घ्न॒न्त्यन्ति॑तो॒ न दू॒राद्य आ॑दि॒त्यानां॒ भव॑ति॒ प्रणी॑तौ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान आदित्यों के मार्ग का अनुसरण करता है, वह शुचि, शत्रुओं द्वारा अहिंसित, अधिक अन्न का स्वामी, शोभन पुत्रों वाला एवं सुंदर फसलों का अधिपति बनकर जल के समीप निवास करता है. समीप या दूर रहने वाला कोई भी शत्रु उसकी हिंसा नहीं कर सकता. (१३)
EN English Translation
The host who follows the path of the Adityas, who lives near the water by becoming pure, un-harmed by enemies, the owner of more food, the owner of shobhan sons and the owner of beautiful crops. No one living near or far away can do violence to him. (13)
अदि॑ते॒ मित्र॒ वरु॑णो॒त मृ॑ळ॒ यद्वो॑ व॒यं च॑कृ॒मा कच्चि॒दागः॑ । उ॒र्व॑श्या॒मभ॑यं॒ ज्योति॑रिन्द्र॒ मा नो॑ दी॒र्घा अ॒भि न॑श॒न्तमि॑स्राः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अदिति, मित्र एवं वरुण! यदि हम तुम्हारे प्रति कोई अपराध करें तो उससे हमारी रक्षा करना. हे इंद्र! हम विस्तृत एवं भयरहित ज्योति प्राप्त करें. अंधेरी रात हमें व्याप्त न करे. (१४)
EN English Translation
Hey Aditi, friend and Varun! If we commit any crime against you, protect us from it. O Indra! Let us get a wide and fearless light. May the dark night not pervad us. (14)
उ॒भे अ॑स्मै पीपयतः समी॒ची दि॒वो वृ॒ष्टिं सु॒भगो॒ नाम॒ पुष्य॑न् । उ॒भा क्षया॑वा॒जय॑न्याति पृ॒त्सूभावर्धौ॑ भवतः सा॒धू अ॑स्मै ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान अदितिपुत्रों के मार्ग पर चलता है, उसकी वृद्धि धरती-आकाश दोनों मिलकर करते हैं. वह भाग्यशाली आकाश का जल प्राप्त करके वृद्धि करता है एवं युद्ध में शत्रुओं को हरा कर अपने और उनके दोनों निवासस्थान प्राप्त करता है. संसार के चर और अचर दोनों भाग उसके लिए मंगलकारक होते हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
The host who follows the path of the Aditiputras, his growth is done by both the earth and the sky together. He grows by receiving the water of the lucky sky and defeats the enemies in battle and gains both his residence. Both the variable and the constant parts of the world are auspicious for him. (15)
या वो॑ मा॒या अ॑भि॒द्रुहे॑ यजत्राः॒ पाशा॑ आदित्या रि॒पवे॒ विचृ॑त्ताः । अ॒श्वीव॒ ताँ अति॑ येषं॒ रथे॒नारि॑ष्टा उ॒रावा शर्म॑न्स्याम ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञ योग्य आदित्यो! तुमने जो माया द्रोहकारी राक्षसों के लिए एवं जो पाश शत्रुओं के लिए बनाए हैं, हम उन्हें अश्वारोही के समान रथ से लांघ जावें. हम शत्रुओं द्वारा अहिंसित होकर महान् सुख प्राप्त करें. (१६)
EN English Translation
O yajna worthy Adityas! Let us drive away the maya that you have created for the demons and the loops that you have created for the enemies, as an equestrian, in a chariot like an equestrian. May we be harmless by our enemies and achieve great happiness. (16)
माहं म॒घोनो॑ वरुण प्रि॒यस्य॑ भूरि॒दाव्न॒ आ वि॑दं॒ शून॑मा॒पेः । मा रा॒यो रा॑जन्सु॒यमा॒दव॑ स्थां बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वरुण! मैं किसी धनी एवं अधिक दानी व्यक्ति के सम्मुख अपनी दरिद्रता की बात न कहूं. हे दीप्तिमान् वरुण! हमें कभी भी आवश्यक धन की कमी न रहे. हम शोभन धन प्राप्त करके इस यज्ञ में बहुत सी स्तुतियां करेंगे. (१७)
EN English Translation
Hey Varun! I don't speak of my poverty in front of a richer and more charitable person. O Deeptiman Varun! We never lack the necessary funds. We will do many praises in this yajna by receiving shobhan dhan. (17)
