इ॒मा उ॑ वां भृ॒मयो॒ मन्य॑माना यु॒वाव॑ते॒ न तुज्या॑ अभूवन् । क्व१॒॑ त्यदि॑न्द्रावरुणा॒ यशो॑ वां॒ येन॑ स्मा॒ सिनं॒ भर॑थः॒ सखि॑भ्यः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र व वरुण! शत्रुओं द्वारा सताई हुई एवं घूमती हुई तुम्हारी प्रजाएं बलवान् शत्रुओं द्वारा नष्ट न हो जावें. तुम्हारा वह यश कहां है, जिससे तुम हम मित्रों को अन्न देते हो? (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varun! Let not your people, persecuted and roamed by enemies, be destroyed by the enemies. Where is your glory that you give food to our friends? (1)
अ॒यमु॑ वां पुरु॒तमो॑ रयी॒यञ्छ॑श्वत्त॒ममव॑से जोहवीति । स॒जोषा॑विन्द्रावरुणा म॒रुद्भि॑र्दि॒वा पृ॑थि॒व्या शृ॑णुतं॒ हवं॑ मे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र व वरुण! धन का इच्छुक एवं महान् यजमान अपनी रक्षा के लिए तुम दोनों को सदा बुलाता है. तुम दोनों मरुतों, द्युलोक एवं धरती के साथ मिलकर मेरी स्तुति सुनो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varun! The seeker of wealth and the great host always calls upon both of you to protect himself. Listen to My praise together with the two of you, the Maruts, the Dolokas and the Earth. (2)
अ॒स्मे तदि॑न्द्रावरुणा॒ वसु॑ ष्याद॒स्मे र॒यिर्म॑रुतः॒ सर्व॑वीरः । अ॒स्मान्वरू॑त्रीः शर॒णैर॑वन्त्व॒स्मान्होत्रा॒ भार॑ती॒ दक्षि॑णाभिः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र व वरुण! हमारे पास मनचाहा उत्तम धन हो. हे मरुतो! हमारे पास सब काम में कुशल एवं वीर पुत्र हों एवं देवपत्नियां वर देकर हमारी रक्षा करें. अग्निपत्नी होत्रा एवं सूर्यपत्नी भारती दक्षिणा के रूप में गाएं देकर हमारी रक्षा करें. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varun! We have the best money we want. O Maruto! We have good and heroic sons in all the work and protect us by giving them wives. Protect us by singing as Agnipatti Hotra and Suryapatti Bharati Dakshina. (3)
बृह॑स्पते जु॒षस्व॑ नो ह॒व्यानि॑ विश्वदेव्य । रास्व॒ रत्ना॑नि दा॒शुषे॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सब देवों के हितकारी बृहस्पति! इन लोगों के हव्य का सेवन करो एवं यजमान को उत्तम धन दो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Jupiter, the benefactor of all the gods! Eat the havya of these people and give the host the best money. (4)
शुचि॑म॒र्कैर्बृह॒स्पति॑मध्व॒रेषु॑ नमस्यत । अना॒म्योज॒ आ च॑के ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! तुम यज्ञ में स्तुतियों द्वारा पवित्र बृहस्पति की सेवा करो. मैं उनसे वह बल मांगता हूं, जिसे शत्रु न हरा सकें. (५)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! You serve the Holy Jupiter by the praises in the yajna. I ask them for the strength that the enemy cannot defeat. (5)
वृ॒ष॒भं च॑र्षणी॒नां वि॒श्वरू॑प॒मदा॑भ्यम् । बृह॒स्पतिं॒ वरे॑ण्यम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कामवर्षी, विश्वरूप नामक बैल की सवारी वाले, तिरस्कार न करने योग्य एवं सबके सेवा योग्य बृहस्पति से मैं मनचाहा फल मांगता हूं. (६)
EN English Translation
I ask for the desired fruit from a lustful, undeserved and serviceable Jupiter, riding a bull named Vishwaroop. (6)
इ॒यं ते॑ पूषन्नाघृणे सुष्टु॒तिर्दे॑व॒ नव्य॑सी । अ॒स्माभि॒स्तुभ्यं॑ शस्यते ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषादेव! यह अतिशय नवीन एवं शोभन स्तुति तुम्हारे लिए है. इसे हम तुम्हारे निमित्त बोलते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O God, My God! This is a very new and soothing praise for you. We speak it for you. (7)
तां जु॑षस्व॒ गिरं॒ मम॑ वाज॒यन्ती॑मवा॒ धिय॑म् । व॒धू॒युरि॑व॒ योष॑णाम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषा! तुम मेरी स्तुतिरूपी वाणी को स्वीकार करो. कामी पुरुष जिस प्रकार नारी के समीप जाता है, उसी प्रकार तुम मेरी अन्न की अभिलाषा से पूर्ण स्तुति के सामने आओ. (८)
EN English Translation
O God! You accept my praiseworthy voice. Just as the kaami man approaches the woman, so come before the full praise of my desire for food. (8)
यो विश्वा॒भि वि॒पश्य॑ति॒ भुव॑ना॒ सं च॒ पश्य॑ति । स नः॑ पू॒षावि॒ता भु॑वत् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो सूर्य सब लोकों को विशेष रूप से देखते हैं एवं सभी वस्तुओं को वास्तव में जानते हैं, वे हमारे रक्षक हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The sun which sees all the realms in particular and really knows all things, they are our protectors. (9)
तत्स॑वि॒तुर्वरे॑ण्यं॒ भर्गो॑ दे॒वस्य॑ धीमहि । धियो॒ यो नः॑ प्रचो॒दया॑त् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम सविता देव के उस श्रेष्ठ तेज का ध्यान करते हैं, जिन्होंने हमारी बुद्धि को प्रेरित किया. (१०)
EN English Translation
We meditate on savita dev's superior brightness, which inspired our intellect. (10)
दे॒वस्य॑ सवि॒तुर्व॒यं वा॑ज॒यन्तः॒ पुरं॑ध्या । भग॑स्य रा॒तिमी॑महे ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्न की अभिलाषा करते हुए हम लोग तेजस्वी सविता देव के धन का दान उनकी स्तुति द्वारा चाहते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
While wishing for food, we want the gift of the wealth of the stunning Savita Dev by her praise. (11)
दे॒वं नरः॑ सवि॒तारं॒ विप्रा॑ य॒ज्ञैः सु॑वृ॒क्तिभिः॑ । न॒म॒स्यन्ति॑ धि॒येषि॒ताः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञकर्मकुशल एवं मेधावी अध्वर्यु आदि यज्ञ करने की भावना से प्रेरित होकर हव्य एवं स्तुतियों द्वारा सविता देव की सेवा करते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Yajnakarmashak and meritorious adhwaryu, inspired by the spirit of performing yajna, serves Savita Dev through havya and praises. (12)
सोमो॑ जिगाति गातु॒विद्दे॒वाना॑मेति निष्कृ॒तम् । ऋ॒तस्य॒ योनि॑मा॒सद॑म् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मार्ग को जानने वाला सोमरस गंतव्य स्थान दिखाता है एवं देवों के बैठने योग्य यज्ञस्थल में जाता है. (१३)
EN English Translation
Somras, who knows the route, shows the destination and goes to the yagna sthal to the seatable place of the gods. (13)
सोमो॑ अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ द्वि॒पदे॒ चतु॑ष्पदे च प॒शवे॑ । अ॒न॒मी॒वा इष॑स्करत् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम हम मानवों तथा दो पैर और चार पैर वाले पशुओं को रोगरहित अन्न दे. (१४)
EN English Translation
Soma we give disease-free food to humans and animals with two legs and four legs. (14)
अ॒स्माक॒मायु॑र्व॒र्धय॑न्न॒भिमा॑तीः॒ सह॑मानः । सोमः॑ स॒धस्थ॒मास॑दत् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमदेव हमारी आयु बढ़ाते हुए एवं यज्ञ में विघ्न डालने वाले शत्रुओं को हराते हुए हमारे यज्ञ में बैठे. (१५)
EN English Translation
Somdev sat in our yajna, extending our lifespan and defeating the enemies who disrupted the yagna. (15)
आ नो॑ मित्रावरुणा घृ॒तैर्गव्यू॑तिमुक्षतम् । मध्वा॒ रजां॑सि सुक्रतू ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन कर्म वाले मित्र व वरुण! हमारी गोशाला को दूध से सींच दो एवं हमारे घरों को मधुर रस से भर दो. (१६)
EN English Translation
O friend of shobhan karma and Varun! Irrigate our goshala with milk and fill our houses with sweet juice. (16)
उ॒रु॒शंसा॑ नमो॒वृधा॑ म॒ह्ना दक्ष॑स्य राजथः । द्राघि॑ष्ठाभिः शुचिव्रता ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पवित्र कर्म वाले मित्र व वरुण! तुम बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत एवं हव्य अन्न से वृद्धि को प्राप्त हो. तुम विशाल स्तुतियों द्वारा धन का महत्त्व पाकर सुशोभित बनो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O friend of the holy deeds and Varuna! You are blessed by many and have gained growth from food. Beautify you by the importance of wealth by huge praises. (17)
गृ॒णा॒ना ज॒मद॑ग्निना॒ योना॑वृ॒तस्य॑ सीदतम् । पा॒तं सोम॑मृतावृधा ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम जमदग्नि ऋषि द्वारा स्तुत होकर यज्ञ में बैठो. यज्ञकर्म का फल बढ़ाने वाले तुम दोनों सोम पिओ. (१८)
EN English Translation
Oh my friend and Varun! You sit in the yajna, praised by the sage Jamadagni. Drink both of you som who increase the fruits of the yajnakarma. (18)
