मम॑ द्वि॒ता रा॒ष्ट्रं क्ष॒त्रिय॑स्य वि॒श्वायो॒र्विश्वे॑ अ॒मृता॒ यथा॑ नः । क्रतुं॑ सचन्ते॒ वरु॑णस्य दे॒वा राजा॑मि कृ॒ष्टेरु॑प॒मस्य॑ व॒व्रेः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
क्षत्रिय जाति में उत्पन्न एवं समस्त प्रजाओं के स्वामी हम लोगों का राज्य दो प्रकार का है. समस्त देव हमारे हैं, जैसे कि सारी प्रजा हमारी है. रूपवान् एवं समस्त प्रजाओं के धारणकर्तता हम लोगों के यज्ञ की सेवा देव करते हैं. हम सबसे श्रेष्ठ हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Born in the Kshatriya jati and the masters of all the people, there are two types of kingdoms of us. All gods are ours, just as all the people are ours. God serves the yagna of the people of the people and the devotion of all the people. We are the best. (1)
अ॒हं राजा॒ वरु॑णो॒ मह्यं॒ तान्य॑सु॒र्या॑णि प्रथ॒मा धा॑रयन्त । क्रतुं॑ सचन्ते॒ वरु॑णस्य दे॒वा राजा॑मि कृ॒ष्टेरु॑प॒मस्य॑ व॒व्रेः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम ही राजा वरुण हैं. देवगण असुरनाशकारी श्रेष्ठ-बल हमारे लिए ही धारण करते हैं. रूपवान् एवं समस्त प्रजाओं के धारणकर्ता हम लोगों के यज्ञ की सेवा देव करते हैं. हम सबसे श्रेष्ठ हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
We are the king Varuna. Devaganas possess the best force of asuras for us. God serves the yagna of the people of the people and the holder of all the people. We are the best. (2)
अ॒हमिन्द्रो॒ वरु॑ण॒स्ते म॑हि॒त्वोर्वी ग॑भी॒रे रज॑सी सु॒मेके॑ । त्वष्टे॑व॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि वि॒द्वान्समै॑रयं॒ रोद॑सी धा॒रयं॑ च ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम ही इंद्र और वरुण हैं. महत्ता के कारण विस्तृत, गंभीर एवं सुंदर रूप वाले धरती- आकाश भी हम हैं. विद्वान् हम त्वष्टा के समान समस्त प्राणियों को प्रेरणा देते हैं एवं धरती- आकाश को धारण करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
We are the only Indra and Varuna. Due to the importance, we are also the earth-sky with a wide, serious and beautiful form. Scholars, we inspire all beings like a skin and hold the earth and the sky. (3)
अ॒हम॒पो अ॑पिन्वमु॒क्षमा॑णा धा॒रयं॒ दिवं॒ सद॑न ऋ॒तस्य॑ । ऋ॒तेन॑ पु॒त्रो अदि॑तेरृ॒तावो॒त त्रि॒धातु॑ प्रथय॒द्वि भूम॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सींचने वाले जल को हमने ही बरसाया था एवं जल के स्थान आकाश को धारण किया था. जल के कारण ही हम अदिति-पुत्र अर्थात् यज्ञ के स्वामी बने थे. हमने ही व्याप्त आकाश को तीन भागों में बांटा था. (४)
EN English Translation
We had rained the water that irrigated and held the sky in place of the water. It was because of the water that we became the masters of the aditi-son i.e. yajna. We divided the prevailing sky into three parts. (4)
मां नरः॒ स्वश्वा॑ वा॒जय॑न्तो॒ मां वृ॒ताः स॒मर॑णे हवन्ते । कृ॒णोम्या॒जिं म॒घवा॒हमिन्द्र॒ इय॑र्मि रे॒णुम॒भिभू॑त्योजाः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सुंदर घोड़ों के स्वामी एवं युद्ध के अभिलाषी नेता हमारे ही पीछे चलते हैं एवं युद्धस्थल में एकत्र होकर हमें ही पुकारते है. हम ही इंद्र बनकर युद्ध करते हैं एवं शत्रुपराभवकारी बल से युक्त होकर धूल उड़ाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The masters of beautiful horses and the leaders of war follow us and gather in the battlefield and call upon us. We are the ones who fight as indras and blow up dust with the force of the enemy. (5)
अ॒हं ता विश्वा॑ चकरं॒ नकि॑र्मा॒ दैव्यं॒ सहो॑ वरते॒ अप्र॑तीतम् । यन्मा॒ सोमा॑सो म॒मद॒न्यदु॒क्थोभे भ॑येते॒ रज॑सी अपा॒रे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सब प्रसिद्ध काम हमने ही किए हैं. देवों के न हारने वाले बल से युक्त होने के कारण हमें कोई नहीं रोक सकता. जब सोमरस एवं स्तुतियां हमें मतवाला कर देती हैं, तब विस्तृत धरती-आकाश भी डर जाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
We have done all the famous work. No one can stop us because of the godly power of not losing. When the somras and the praises make us jealous, the vast earth and the sky are also afraid. (6)
वि॒दुष्टे॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि॒ तस्य॒ ता प्र ब्र॑वीषि॒ वरु॑णाय वेधः । त्वं वृ॒त्राणि॑ शृण्विषे जघ॒न्वान्त्वं वृ॒ताँ अ॑रिणा इन्द्र॒ सिन्धू॑न् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वरुण! तुम्हारे कामों को सारा संसार जानता है. हे स्तोता! वरुण के निमित्त स्तुति बोलो. हे इंद्र! ऐसा सुना जाता है कि तुमने बैरियों का वध किया था. तुमने ढकी हुई नदियों को प्रवाहित किया था. (७)
EN English Translation
Hey Varun! The whole world knows your deeds. This is the hymn! Speak praise for Varuna. O Indra! It is heard that you killed the barries. You had flown the covered rivers. (7)
अ॒स्माक॒मत्र॑ पि॒तर॒स्त आ॑सन्स॒प्त ऋष॑यो दौर्ग॒हे ब॒ध्यमा॑ने । त आय॑जन्त त्र॒सद॑स्युमस्या॒ इन्द्रं॒ न वृ॑त्र॒तुर॑मर्धदे॒वम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दुर्गह के पुत्र पुरुकुत्स जब कैद कर लिए गए तो सप्तऋषि हमारे इस राज्य के पालनकर्ता बने थे. उन्होंने पुरुकुत्स की पत्नी के कल्याण के लिए यज्ञ करके त्रसदस्यु को पाया था. वह इंद्र के समान शन्रुनाशक एवं आधा देव था. (८)
EN English Translation
When Purukuts, the son of Durgah, was imprisoned, the Saptarishis became the followers of this kingdom of ours. He had found The Trasadsyu by performing a yagna for the welfare of Purukuts' wife. He was as much a destroyer and half-god as Indra. (8)
पु॒रु॒कुत्सा॑नी॒ हि वा॒मदा॑शद्ध॒व्येभि॑रिन्द्रावरुणा॒ नमो॑भिः । अथा॒ राजा॑नं त्र॒सद॑स्युमस्या वृत्र॒हणं॑ ददथुरर्धदे॒वम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र एवं वरुण! सप्तऋषियों की प्रेरणा से पुरुकुत्स की पत्नी ने हव्य एवं स्तुतियों द्वारा तुम्हें प्रसन्न किया था. इसके बाद तुमने उसे शत्रुनाशकारी एवं आधे देव त्रसदस्यु को प्रदान किया था. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra and Varuna! Inspired by the Saptarishis, purukuts' wife had pleased you with the greetings and hymns. After this, you gave him the enemy and half to the God trisadyu. (9)
रा॒या व॒यं स॑स॒वांसो॑ मदेम ह॒व्येन॑ दे॒वा यव॑सेन॒ गावः॑ । तां धे॒नुमि॑न्द्रावरुणा यु॒वं नो॑ वि॒श्वाहा॑ धत्त॒मन॑पस्फुरन्तीम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम तुम दोनों की स्तुति करके धन द्वारा प्रसन्न हों. देवगण हव्य द्वारा एवं गाएं घास से संतुष्ट हों. है इंद्र एवं वरुण! विश्व का नाश करने वाले तुम दोनों हमें हिंसारहित धन दो. (१०)
EN English Translation
May we be pleased with the riches by praising both of you. Be satisfied with the grass sung by the devas and singing. Indra and Varun! Give us violence-free money, both of you who destroy the world. (10)
