उत्त्वा॑ मन्दन्तु॒ स्तोमाः॑ कृणु॒ष्व राधो॑ अद्रिवः । अव॑ ब्रह्म॒द्विषो॑ जहि ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! स्तुतियां तुम्हें अधिक प्रसन्न करें. तुम हमें धन दो एवं ब्राह्मणद्वेषियों को मारो. (१)
EN English Translation
O thunderbolt Indra! Praises please you more. You give us money and kill the Brahmins. (1)
प॒दा प॒णीँर॑रा॒धसो॒ नि बा॑धस्व म॒हाँ अ॑सि । न॒हि त्वा॒ कश्च॒न प्रति॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम पणियों और यज्ञधनरहित लोगों को पैर से दबाकर पीड़ित करो. हे महान् इंद्र! कोई भी तुम्हारा प्रतिद्वंद्वी नहीं है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You make the people and the people without sacrificial pain by pressing them with your feet. O great Indra! No one is your opponent. (2)
त्वमी॑शिषे सु॒ताना॒मिन्द्र॒ त्वमसु॑तानाम् । त्वं राजा॒ जना॑नाम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम निचोड़े हुए सोम एवं बिना निचोड़े हुए सोम के स्वामी तथा अन्न के राजा हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the lord of the squeezed mon and the unquenched mon and the king of the grain. (3)
एहि॒ प्रेहि॒ क्षयो॑ दि॒व्या॒३॒॑घोष॑ञ्चर्षणी॒नाम् । ओभे पृ॑णासि॒ रोद॑सी ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आओ. तुम मानवकल्याण के लिए यज्ञशाला को शब्दपूर्ण करते हुए स्वर्ग से आओ. तुम वर्षा द्वारा धरती व आकाश को भर देते हो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Come. You come from heaven, wording the yajnashala for the welfare of mankind. You fill the earth and the sky with rain. (4)
त्यं चि॒त्पर्व॑तं गि॒रिं श॒तव॑न्तं सह॒स्रिण॑म् । वि स्तो॒तृभ्यो॑ रुरोजिथ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने स्तोताओं के कल्याण के लिए टुकड़ों वाले एवं सैकड़ों तथा हजारों जलों से युक्त मेघ को वज्र से भिन्न किया था. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You separated the cloud with fragments and containing hundreds and thousands of water from the thunderbolt for the welfare of the psalms. (5)
व॒यमु॑ त्वा॒ दिवा॑ सु॒ते व॒यं नक्तं॑ हवामहे । अ॒स्माकं॒ काम॒मा पृ॑ण ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर हम तुम्हें रात एवं दिन में बुलाते हैं. तुम हमारी अभिलाषा पूरी करो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! When we go to Somers, we call you by night and by day. You fulfill our wish. (6)
क्व१॒॑ स्य वृ॑ष॒भो युवा॑ तुवि॒ग्रीवो॒ अना॑नतः । ब्र॒ह्मा कस्तं स॑पर्यति ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वर्षा करने वाले, नित्य युवक, विशाल गरदन वाले और न झुकने वाले इंद्र कहां हैं? कौन स्तोता उनकी पूजा करता है? (७)
EN English Translation
Where is indra, the rainy man, the daily young man, the giant neck, and the one who does not bow down? Who worships them? (7)
कस्य॑ स्वि॒त्सव॑नं॒ वृषा॑ जुजु॒ष्वाँ अव॑ गच्छति । इन्द्रं॒ क उ॑ स्वि॒दा च॑के ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वर्षा करने वाले इंद्र प्रसन्न होकर आते हैं. कौन यजमान इंद्र की स्तुति करना जानता है. (८)
EN English Translation
Indra, who showers, comes with joy. Who knows how to praise host Indra? (8)
कं ते॑ दा॒ना अ॑सक्षत॒ वृत्र॑ह॒न्कं सु॒वीर्या॑ । उ॒क्थे क उ॑ स्वि॒दन्त॑मः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वृत्रह॑ता इंद्र! यजमानों द्वारा दिए हुए दान वया तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं? मंत्र पढ़ते समय क्या शोभन-स्तोत्र तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं? युद्ध में कौन तुम्हारे अधिक समीप रहता है? (९)
EN English Translation
O Vrithrahita Indra! Do the donations given by the hosts serve you? Do shobhan-stotras serve you while reading mantras? Who is closer to you in war? (9)
अ॒यं ते॒ मानु॑षे॒ जने॒ सोमः॑ पू॒रुषु॑ सूयते । तस्येहि॒ प्र द्र॑वा॒ पिब॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मैं मानवों के बीच में तुम्हारे लिए सोमरस निचोड़ता हूं. तुम सोमरस के पास आओ एवं उसे पिओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! I squeeze somras for you in the midst of humans. You come to Somers and drink it. (10)
अ॒यं ते॑ शर्य॒णाव॑ति सु॒षोमा॑या॒मधि॑ प्रि॒यः । आ॒र्जी॒कीये॑ म॒दिन्त॑मः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह सोमरस तुम्हें कुरुक्षेत्र के तृणों वाले तालाब में अधिक प्रसन्न करता है. वह तालाब आर्जीक देश की सुषोमा नदी के तट पर है. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! This someras pleases you more in the pond with straws of Kurukshetra. That pond is on the banks of the Sushoma River in the Arjik country. (11)
तम॒द्य राध॑से म॒हे चारुं॒ मदा॑य॒ घृष्व॑ये । एही॑मिन्द्र॒ द्रवा॒ पिब॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारा धन बढ़ाने एवं शत्रुनाशक मद के लिए उसी सुंदर सोमरस को पिओ एवं सोमरस की ओर जल्दी जाओ. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Drink the same beautiful somras to increase our wealth and to the anti-enemy item and go quickly to the somras. (12)
