पव॑स्व विश्वचर्षणे॒ऽभि विश्वा॑नि॒ काव्या॑ । सखा॒ सखि॑भ्य॒ ईड्यः॑ ॥ (१)

हे सबके देखने वाले, सखा एवं स्तुति योग्य सोम! हम सखाओं के सभी अभिलषणीय कर्मो एवं स्तुतियों को देखकर हमारे कल्याण के लिए बरसो. (१)
EN English Translation
O all the seers, the seers, the praises and the praise-worthy Mon! Let us see all the charitable deeds and praises of the sakhas and shower us for our welfare. (1)
ताभ्यां॒ विश्व॑स्य राजसि॒ ये प॑वमान॒ धाम॑नी । प्र॒ती॒ची सो॑म त॒स्थतुः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध होते सोम! तुम्हारे जो दो टेढ़े पत्ते हैं, उनसे तुम सारे संसार के राजा बनते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
It was pure Mon! From the two crooked leaves that you have, you become the king of the whole world. (2)
परि॒ धामा॑नि॒ यानि॑ ते॒ त्वं सो॑मासि वि॒श्वतः॑ । पव॑मान ऋ॒तुभिः॑ कवे ॥ (३)

हे शुद्ध होते हुए एवं क्रांतकर्म वाले सोम! तुम्हारा तेज चारों ओर फैला है. तुम ऋतुओं के साथ सुशोभित हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O mon of pureness and krantakarma! Your speed is spread around. You're embellished with the seasons. (3)
पव॑स्व ज॒नय॒न्निषो॒ऽभि विश्वा॑नि॒ वार्या॑ । सखा॒ सखि॑भ्य ऊ॒तये॑ ॥ (४)

हे सखा सोम! हम मित्रों की स्तुतियों पर ध्यान देकर हमारी रक्षा के लिए हमें अन्न देते हुए आओ. (४)
EN English Translation
O Sakha Mon! Let us pay attention to the praises of our friends and come, giving us food to protect us. (4)
तव॑ शु॒क्रासो॑ अ॒र्चयो॑ दि॒वस्पृ॒ष्ठे वि त॑न्वते । प॒वित्रं॑ सोम॒ धाम॑भिः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारी ज्वलनशील एवं तेजपूर्ण रशमियां झुलोक के ऊपर वाले भाग पर जल का विस्तार करती हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Your inflammable and fast rushes extend the water on the upper part of the jhuloka. (5)
तवे॒मे स॒प्त सिन्ध॑वः प्र॒शिषं॑ सोम सिस्रते । तुभ्यं॑ धावन्ति धे॒नवः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! ये सात नदियां तुम्हारा शासन मानती हैं एवं गाएं तुम्हारे लिए ही दूध देने के हेतु दौड़कर आती हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! These seven rivers are your rule and the cows come running to give milk for you. (6)
प्र सो॑म याहि॒ धार॑या सु॒त इन्द्रा॑य मत्स॒रः । दधा॑नो॒ अक्षि॑ति॒ श्रवः॑ ॥ (७)

हे हमारे द्वारा निचोड़े गए एवं इंद्र को नशा कराने वाले सोम! तुम हमारे लिए अक्षय धन देते हुए दशापवित्र से निकलकर द्रोणकलश में जाओ. (७)
EN English Translation
O Som who was squeezed by us and made Indra drunk! You leave the Dashapavitra and go to Dronakalash, giving us renewable money. (7)
समु॑ त्वा धी॒भिर॑स्वरन्हिन्व॒तीः स॒प्त जा॒मयः॑ । विप्र॑मा॒जा वि॒वस्व॑तः ॥ (८)

हे मेधावी सोम! यजमान के यज्ञ में स्तुति करते हुए सात होता तुम्हारी प्रशंसा करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O bright Mon! While praising in the yajna of the host, the seven would praise you. (8)
मृ॒जन्ति॑ त्वा॒ सम॒ग्रुवोऽव्ये॑ जी॒रावधि॒ ष्वणि॑ । रे॒भो यद॒ज्यसे॒ वने॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! जब तुम शब्द करते हुए जल में मिलते हो, तब हम अधिक शब्द करते हुए एवं भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र पर तुम्हें निचोड़ते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! When you meet in the water with words, we squeeze you on the dashapovittra made of sheep's hair, saying more words and doing more words. (9)
पव॑मानस्य ते कवे॒ वाजि॒न्सर्गा॑ असृक्षत । अर्व॑न्तो॒ न श्र॑व॒स्यवः॑ ॥ (१०)

हे क्रांत बुद्धि वाले एवं अन्नयुक्त सोम! जब तुम दशापवित्र से छनते हो, तब यजमानों के लिए अन्न लाने की इच्छुक तुम्हारी धाराएं घोड़ों के समान दौड़ती हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O krant wise and annadyukta som! When you are filtered out of the dashapavitra, your streams, who are willing to bring food for the hosts, run like horses. (10)
अच्छा॒ कोशं॑ मधु॒श्चुत॒मसृ॑ग्रं॒ वारे॑ अ॒व्यये॑ । अवा॑वशन्त धी॒तयः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विजों द्वारा मधुर रस टपकाने वाले सोम ट्रोणकलश में जाने के लिए सदा दशापवित्र पर गिराए जाते हैं. हमारी उंगलियां सोम को बार-बार मसलना चाहती हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
The sweet juice dripping mons by the ritwijs are always dropped on the dashapavitra to go to the tronkalash. Our fingers want to massage Mon over and over again. (11)
अच्छा॑ समु॒द्रमिन्द॒वोऽस्तं॒ गावो॒ न धे॒नवः॑ । अग्म॑न्नृ॒तस्य॒ योनि॒मा ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार नई ब्याई हुई गाएं दूध देकर गोशाला की ओर जाती हैं, उसी प्रकार सोम द्रोणकलश एवं यज्ञशाला की ओर जाते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Just as the newly married cows go towards the goshala with milk, so do som go towards Dronkalash and Yajnashala. (12)
प्र ण॑ इन्दो म॒हे रण॒ आपो॑ अर्षन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वः । यद्गोभि॑र्वासयि॒ष्यसे॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! जब तुम्हें गाय के दूध, दही आदि में मिलाया जाता है तब जल हमारे विशाल यज्ञ की ओर आते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! When you are mixed with cow's milk, curd, etc., the water comes towards our huge yagna. (13)
अस्य॑ ते स॒ख्ये व॒यमिय॑क्षन्त॒स्त्वोत॑यः । इन्दो॑ सखि॒त्वमु॑श्मसि ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारी पूजा के अभिलाषी एवं तुम्हारे मैत्रीकर्म में स्थित हम लोग तुम्हारा सख्य चाहते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! We desire your worship and are in your friendly work, we want your sakhya. (14)
आ प॑वस्व॒ गवि॑ष्टये म॒हे सो॑म नृ॒चक्ष॑से । एन्द्र॑स्य ज॒ठरे॑ विश ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम अंगिरागोत्रीय ऋषियों की गाएं खोजने वाले, महान् तथा मानवों का कर्मफल देखने वाले इंद्र के लिए शुद्ध बनो एवं इंद्र के उदर में प्रवेश करो. (१५)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Be pure to Indra, who seeks the sings of the Angiragotrian sages, the great and the one who sees the karma of the human beings, and enter the belly of Indra. (15)
म॒हाँ अ॑सि सोम॒ ज्येष्ठ॑ उ॒ग्राणा॑मिन्द॒ ओजि॑ष्ठः । युध्वा॒ सञ्छश्व॑ज्जिगेथ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम महान्, देवों को प्रसन्न करने वाले एवं परम प्रशंसनीय हो. हे पवमान सोम! तुम उग्र बल वाले लोगों में अतिशय ओजस्वी हो. तुमने शत्रुओं के साथ युद्ध करते हुए उनका धन जीत लिया था. (१६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You are the great ones, the ones who please the gods and the most praiseworthy. O Pawman Mon! You are very energetic among the people with furious force. You won their wealth while fighting with your enemies. (16)
य उ॒ग्रेभ्य॑श्चि॒दोजी॑या॒ञ्छूरे॑भ्यश्चि॒च्छूर॑तरः । भू॒रि॒दाभ्य॑श्चि॒न्मंही॑यान् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम उग्रों में अतिशय उग्र, शूरों में अतिशय शूर एवं अधिक दान करने वालों में महान् हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
Som is very fierce among the fierce, the fiercest in the brave, and the greatest of those who donate more. (17)
त्वं सो॑म॒ सूर॒ एष॑स्तो॒कस्य॑ सा॒ता त॒नूना॑म् । वृ॒णी॒महे॑ स॒ख्याय॑ वृणी॒महे॒ युज्या॑य ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन वीर्य वाले सोम! हमें अन्न एवं पुत्र की संतानें दो. हम मैत्री और सहायता के लिए तुम्हारा वरण करते हैं. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Shobhan wale mon! Give us food and the children of the son. We ask you for friendship and help. (18)
अग्न॒ आयूं॑षि पवस॒ आ सु॒वोर्ज॒मिषं॑ च नः । आ॒रे बा॑धस्व दु॒च्छुना॑म् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पवमान सोमरूप अग्नि! तुम हमारे जीवनों की रक्षा करते हो. तुम हमें बल तथा अन्न दो एवं शत्रुओं को हमसे दूर रखकर पीड़ा पहुंचाओ. (१९)
EN English Translation
O pawman somrup agni! You protect our lives. Give us strength and food, and keep the enemies away from us and cause us pain. (19)
अ॒ग्निरृषिः॒ पव॑मानः॒ पाञ्च॑जन्यः पु॒रोहि॑तः । तमी॑महे महाग॒यम् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि पांचों वर्णो के हितैषी, सबके द्रष्टा, पवित्र होते हुए पुरोहित एवं यजमानों द्वारा स्तुत्य हैं. हम अग्नि से याचना करते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
Agni is the benefactor of the five varnas, the seer of all, the holy one, the priest and the host. We beg of agni. (20)
अग्ने॒ पव॑स्व॒ स्वपा॑ अ॒स्मे वर्चः॑ सु॒वीर्य॑म् । दध॑द्र॒यिं मयि॒ पोष॑म् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन कर्म वाले अग्नि! तुम हमें शोभन शक्ति वाला तेज, धन एवं गाएं प्रदान करो. (२१)
EN English Translation
O agni of good deeds! You give us the loudest, wealth and singing with the power of adornment. (21)
पव॑मानो॒ अति॒ स्रिधो॒ऽभ्य॑र्षति सुष्टु॒तिम् । सूरो॒ न वि॒श्वद॑र्शतः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पवमान सोम शत्रुओं को हराते हैं, शोभन स्तुति सामने से स्वीकार करते हैं एवं सूर्य के समान सबको देखते है. (२२)

Pavman Som defeats the enemies, Accepts Shobhan praise from the front and sees everyone like the sun. (22)
स म॑र्मृजा॒न आ॒युभिः॒ प्रय॑स्वा॒न्प्रय॑से हि॒तः । इन्दु॒रत्यो॑ विचक्ष॒णः ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मनुष्यों द्वारा बार-बार निचोड़े जाते हुए अन्न के स्वामी, यजमान के लिए हितैषी एवं सबके द्रष्टा सोम देवों के समीप सदा जाते है. (२३)
EN English Translation
The lord of the food, who is repeatedly squeezed by human beings, friendly to the host and the seer of all, always goes to the Soma Devas. (23)
पव॑मान ऋ॒तं बृ॒हच्छु॒क्रं ज्योति॑रजीजनत् । कृ॒ष्णा तमां॑सि॒ जङ्घ॑नत् ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पवमान सोम ने काले अंधकार को समाप्त करते हुए सत्यरूप, व्यापक व दीप्तिशाली तेज उत्पन्न किया था. (२४)
EN English Translation
Pavman Som had created satyarup, broad and glorious brightness, ending the black darkness. (24)
पव॑मानस्य॒ जङ्घ्न॑तो॒ हरे॑श्च॒न्द्रा अ॑सृक्षत । जी॒रा अ॑जि॒रशो॑चिषः ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बार-बार अंधकार का विनाश करते हुए, हरितवर्ण, गतिशील तेज से युक्त एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम को आनंदित करने वाली व तेज बहने वाली धाराएं दशापवित्र में गिरती हैं. (२५)
EN English Translation
Repeatedly destroying the darkness, the greenish, the dynamic fast and the streams that make the mon happy and fast flowing, while being clean, fall into the dashapavitra. (25)
पव॑मानो र॒थीत॑मः शु॒भ्रेभिः॑ शु॒भ्रश॑स्तमः । हरि॑श्चन्द्रो म॒रुद्ग॑णः ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रथ स्वामियों में श्रेष्ठ, यशस्वी लोगों में परम यशस्वी, हरी धाराओं वाले एवं मरुतों की सहायता से युक्त सोम अपनी दीप्तियों से सबको व्याप्त करते हैं. (२६)
EN English Translation
The best of the chariot owners, the most successful among the successful ones, the most successful among the successful ones, the ones with the help of green streams and the help of the maruts, the Sommas pervade everyone with his lamps. (26)
पव॑मानो॒ व्य॑श्नवद्र॒श्मिभि॑र्वाज॒सात॑मः । दध॑त्स्तो॒त्रे सु॒वीर्य॑म् ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्न देने वालों में श्रेष्ठ व पवमान स्तोत्र बोलने वाले को शोभन वीर्य वाला पुत्र देने वाले सोम अपनी दीप्तियों से सारे संसार को व्याप्त कर लें. (२७)
EN English Translation
May the som, who gives a son with a beautiful semen to the best of the givers of food and the best of the psalmists, pervade the whole world with his lamps. (27)
प्र सु॑वा॒न इन्दु॑रक्षाः प॒वित्र॒मत्य॒व्यय॑म् । पु॒ना॒न इन्दु॒रिन्द्र॒मा ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पवित्र होते हुए सोम भेड़ के बालों से बने कंबल को पार करके टपकते हैं अर्थात् पवित्र होते हुए सोम इंद्र के पास पहुंचें. (२८)

Being holy, Som crosses the blanket made of sheep's hair and drips, i.e., being holy, mon reaches Indra. (28)
ए॒ष सोमो॒ अधि॑ त्व॒चि गवां॑ क्रीळ॒त्यद्रि॑भिः । इन्द्रं॒ मदा॑य॒ जोहु॑वत् ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये किरणरूपी सोम गाय के चमड़े के ऊपर पत्थरों से क्रीड़ा करते हैं. इंद्र ने मद के निमित्त सोम को बुलाया. (२९)
EN English Translation
These kirana-rupi mons play with stones on top of cow's leather. Indra called Som for the sake of the item. (29)
यस्य॑ ते द्यु॒म्नव॒त्पयः॒ पव॑मा॒नाभृ॑तं दि॒वः । तेन॑ नो मृळ जी॒वसे॑ ॥ (३०)

हे पवित्र होते हुए सोम! बाज पक्षी रूपिणी गायत्री द्वारा ्युलोक से लाया गया व अन्नयुक्त दूध तुम्हारा अपना है. हमें उसके द्वारा चिरजीवन पाने के लिए सुखी बनाओ. (३०)
EN English Translation
O holy, Mon! The milk brought from Yulok by the hawk bird Rupini Gayatri and the food-containing milk is your own. Make us happy to have eternal life through Him. (30)
