अ॒भि त्वा॒ वर्च॑सा॒ गिरः॑ सि॒ञ्चन्ती॒राच॑र॒ण्यवः॑ । अ॒भि व॒त्सं न धे॒नवः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विचरण करने वाली गाएं, जिस प्रकार अपने बछड़ों के पास जाती हैं, उसी प्रकार हमारी वाणी तुम्हें प्राप्त होती है और तुम्हें सींचती हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Just as the moving cows go to their calves, so our voice receives you and waters you. (1)
ता अ॑र्षन्ति शु॒भ्रियः॑ पृञ्च॒तीर्वर्च॑सा॒ प्रि॒यः॑ । जा॒तं जा॒त्रीर्यथा॑ हृ॒दा ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार माता जन्म लेने वाले बच्चे को अपने हृदय से लगा लेती है, उसी प्रकार सुंदर स्तुतियां इंद्र को तेज से सुशोभित करती हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Just as a mother attaches the child born to her heart, so beautiful praises adorn Indra with a sharp ness. (2)
वज्रा॑पव॒साध्यः॑ की॒र्तिर्म्रि॒यमा॑ण॒माव॑हन् । मह्य॒मायु॑र्घृ॒तं पयः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये वज्रधारी इंद्र मुझे यश, आयु, घृत और दूध प्रदान करें. (३)
EN English Translation
May this Vajradhari Indra give me fame, age, ghee and milk. (3)
आयं गौः पृश्नि॑रक्रमी॒दस॑दन्मा॒तरं॑ पु॒रः । पि॒तरं॑ च प्र॒यन्त्स्व: ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये सूर्य रूपी इंद्र उदयाचल पर पहुंच गए हैं. इन्होंने पूर्व दिशा में दर्शन दे कर सभी प्राणियों को अपनी किरणों से ढक लिया है. इस के लिए उन्होंने स्वर्ग और अंतरिक्ष को वर्षा के जल से खींच कर व्याप्त कर लिया है. वर्षा का जल अमृत के समान है. उस को दुहने के कारण ही इंद्र को गौ कहा जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
They have reached Indra Udayachal in the form of the sun. He has covered all beings with his rays by giving darshan in the east direction. For this, they have dragged heaven and space from rainwater and pervaded it. Rainwater is like nectar. Indra is called cow because of milking it. (4)
अ॒न्तश्च॑रति रोच॒ना अ॒स्य प्रा॒णाद॑पान॒तः । व्य॑ख्यन्महि॒षः स्व: ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो प्राणी प्राण अर्थात् सांस लेने और अपान वायु त्यागने का कार्य करते हैं, उन के शरीर में सूर्य की प्रभा प्राण के रूप में विचरण करती है. सूर्य ही सब लोकों को प्रकाशित करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
In the body of those who do the work of prana i.e. breathing and giving up their air, the aura of the sun circulates in the form of prana. It is the sun that illuminates all the worlds. (5)
त्रिं॒शद्धामा॒ वि रा॑जति॒ वाक्प॑त॒ङ्गो अ॑शिश्रियत् । प्रति॒ वस्तो॒रह॒र्द्युभिः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूर्य की किरणों से तीस मुहूर्त दीप्त होते हैं. वे ही दिन और रात के अंग बनते हैं. वेदों की वाणी सूर्य का उसी प्रकार आश्रय लेती है, जिस प्रकार पक्षी वृक्ष का आश्रय लेते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Thirty muhurats are illuminated by the rays of the sun. They become parts of day and night. The voice of the Vedas takes shelter from the sun in the same way as birds take shelter of the tree. (6)
