ओषधियों अर्थात् जड़ीबूटियों के राजा सोम ओषधियों की सहायता से तुम्हारी रक्षा करें. सूर्य देव नक्षत्रों की सहायता से तुम्हारी रक्षा करें. महीनों की सहायता से चंद्रमा, वृत्र अर्थात् आवरण करने वाले अंधकार का नाश करने वाले इंद्र एवं प्राण वायु की सहायता से वायु देव तुम्हारी रक्षा करें. (२)

May Soma, the king of herbs, protect you with the help of medicines. Protect you with the help of Sun God constellations. With the help of months, the moon, the tree, that is, Indra, who destroys the darkness covering, and with the help of prana vayu, may the air god protect you. (2)
