जैसे ऋत्विज् मारे गए बलि पशु को काट कर टुकड़े योग्य अंगों का संस्कार करते हुए खुर आदि प्रयोग में न आने वाले अंगों को साथ ले कर अन्यत्र जाते हैं तथा जिस प्रकार ऋण देने वाले को मूल धन और ब्याज लौटाते हैं, उसी प्रकार बुरे स्वप्न के कारण जितने भी अनर्थ हैं, उन्हें हम जलों के मध्य त्रित नाम के महर्षि पर धारण करते हैं.
