प्र ते॑ म॒हे वि॒दथे॑ शंसिषं॒ हरी॒ प्र ते॑ वन्वे व॒नुषो॑ हर्य॒तं मद॑म् । घृ॒तं न यो हरि॑भि॒श्चारु॒ सेच॑त॒ आ त्वा॑ विशन्तु॒ हरि॑वर्पसं॒ गिरः॑ ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे अश्व शीघ्रता से गमन करने वाले हैं. इस विशाल यज्ञ में मैं उन की प्रशंसा करता हूं. तुम शत्रुओं का वध करने वाले हो. सोमपान से उत्पन्न हुई शक्ति वाले इंद्र से मैं अपना अभीष्ट फल मांगता हूं. जैसे अग्नि में घृत सींचा जाता है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र अपने ही नाम के अश्वों सहित आते हुए धन की वर्षा करते हैं. EN English Translation
Hey Indra! Your horses are going to move quickly. I praise him in this huge yagya. You are the slayer of the enemies. I ask for my desired result from Indra, who has the power generated from Sompan. Just as butter is poured into a fire, similarly Indra showers wealth by coming with his own named horses. (1)
हरिं॒ हि योनि॑म॒भि ये स॒मस्व॑रन्हि॒न्वन्तो॒ हरी॑ दि॒व्यं यथा॒ सदः॑ । आ यं पृ॒णन्ति॒ हरि॑भि॒र्न धे॒नव॒ इन्द्रा॑य शू॒षं हरि॑वन्तमर्चत ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्राचीन महर्षियों ने इंद्र को अपने यज्ञ में शीघ्रता से बुलाने के लिए उन के अश्वों को प्रेरित किया. उन का स्तोत्र मूल रूप से इंद्र के ही निमित्त था. नव प्रसूता गाय जैसे दूध दे कर अपने स्वामी को तृप्त करती है, उसी प्रकार यजमान सोमरस के द्वारा इंद्र को तृप्त करते हैं. हे ऋत्विजो! शत्रु विनाशक, शक्तिशाली तथा हरि नामक अश्चों वाले इंद्र का पूजन करो. (२)
EN English Translation
The ancient Maharishis inspired Indra's horses to call him quickly in his yajna. His stotra was originally for Indra. Just as a newly married cow satisfies its master by giving milk, in the same way, the host satisfies Indra through Someras. O Ritvijo! Worship Indra, the destroyer of the enemy, the powerful and the horse named Hari. (2)
सो अ॑स्य॒ वज्रो॒ हरि॑तो॒ य आ॑य॒सो हरि॒र्निका॑मो॒ हरि॒रा गभ॑स्त्योः । द्यु॒म्नी सु॑शि॒प्रो हरि॑मन्युसायक॒ इन्द्रे॒ नि रू॒पा हरि॑ता मिमिक्षिरे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र का लौह निर्मित वज्र हरा है. इंद्र का सुंदर शरीर भी हरे रंग का है. इंद्र के पास हरे रंग का ही बाण रहता है. इंद्र की पूरी साजसज्जा हरे रंग की है. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra's iron-made vajra is green. Indra's beautiful body is also green in color. Indra has a green arrow. Indra's entire decoration is green. (3)
दि॒वि न के॒तुरधि॑ धायि हर्य॒तो वि॒व्यच॒द्वज्रो॒ हरि॑तो॒ न रंह्या॑ । तु॒दद॒हिं हरि॑शिप्रो॒ य आ॑य॒सः स॒हस्र॑शोका अभवद्धरिम्भ॒रः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र का वज्र सूर्य के समान अंतरिक्ष में स्थित है. जिस प्रकार सूर्य के अश्व वेग से आकाश को प्राप्त होते हैं, उसी प्रकार इंद्र का वज्र गंतव्य स्थान पर पहुंच जाता है. इंद्र ने अपने हरे वज्र से वृत्रासुर को संतप्त किया तथा उस के सहस्रो साथियों को शोक में डाल दिया. (४)
EN English Translation
Indra's thunderbolt is located in space similar to the Sun. Just as the sun's horse velocity receives the sky, so Indra's thunderbolt reaches the destination. Indra anrmented Vritrasura with his green thunderbolt and put his companions in mourning. (4)
त्वंत्व॑महर्यथा॒ उप॑स्तुतः॒ पूर्वे॑भिरिन्द्र हरिकेश॒ यज्व॑भिः । त्वं ह॑र्यसि॒ तव॒ विश्व॑मु॒क्थ्यमसा॑मि॒ राधो॑ हरिजात हर्य॒तम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे केश हरे रंग के हैं. जहां सोम रूप हवि होता है, वहां तुम उपस्थित होते हो. तुम स्तुतियां सुन कर हवि की इच्छा करते रहे हो और अब भी कर रहे हो. तुम अपने हरि नाम के अश्चों सहित यज्ञ में आते हो. हे इंद्र! ये सोम, अन्न और उक्थ तुम्हारे लिए ही हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your hair is green. Where there is soma form, you are present. You have been wishing for havi by listening to praises and are still doing it. You come to the yagna with tears named After Your Hari. O Indra! These soma, food and ukth are for you only. (5)
