जो इंद्र यजमानों के यज्ञों में प्रधान रूप से आह्वान करने योग्य हैं, उन की मैं उन वाणियों के द्वारा स्तुति करता हूं, जिनके स्वामी इंद्र हैं. वे कामनाओं को पूर्ण करने वाले इंद्र की स्तुतियों के द्वारा प्रार्थना की जाती है. वे इंद्र बल के विनाशक, अनेक कर्म करने वाले तथा शक्तिशाली हैं. (१)

I praise indra who is worthy of invoking the main in the yajnas of the hosts through the vaanis whose swami is Indra. They are prayed by praises of Indra, who fulfills the wishes. He is the destroyer of Indra's force, the doer of many deeds and is powerful. (1)
