अ॒मून्हे॒तिः प॑त॒त्रिणी॒ न्येतु॒ यदुलू॑को॒ वद॑ति मो॒घमे॒तत् । यद्वा॑ क॒पोतः॑ प॒दम॒ग्नौ कृ॒णोति॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह पंखों वाला आयुध हमारे दूरस्थ शत्रुओं के पास जाए. यह उल्लू जो कहता है, वह असत्य हो. कबूतर ने अशुभ की सूचना के लिए जो हमारे चूल्हे की अग्नि के समीप पंजे का चिल्ल बनाया है, वह भी प्रभावहीन हो जाए. (१)
EN English Translation
Let this winged armament go to our remote enemies. What this owl says is untrue. The pigeon has made a claw chill near the agni of our stove for the information of inauspicious, it should also become ineffective. (1)
यौ ते॑ दू॒तौ नि॑रृत इ॒दमे॒तोऽप्र॑हितौ॒ प्रहि॑तौ वा गृ॒हं नः॑ । क॑पोतोलू॒काभ्या॒मप॑दं॒ तद॑स्तु ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पाप देवता निर्ऋति! तेरे द्वारा भेजे हुए जो कबूतर और उल्लू हैं. वे मेरे घर में आ कर भी आश्रय न पा सकें. (२)
EN English Translation
O sin god Nirti! The pigeons and owls sent by you. They could not come to my house and get shelter. (2)
अ॑वैरह॒त्याये॒दमा प॑पत्यात्सुवी॒रता॑या इ॒दमा स॑सद्यात् । परा॑ङे॒व परा॑ वद॒ परा॑ची॒मनु॑ सं॒वत॑म् । यथा॑ य॒मस्य॑ त्वा गृ॒हेऽर॒सं प्र॑ति॒चाक॑शाना॒भूकं॑ प्रति॒चाक॑शान् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कबूतर और उल्लू के आने का जो अपशकुन है, वह हमारे वीरों की हिंसा न करे तथा हमारे वीरों के सदभाव के निमित्त वह अपशकुन दूर चला जाए. हे यम के दूत कबूतर! तेरे स्वामी के घर में प्राणी जिस प्रकार तुझे प्रभावहीन समझते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुझे हम भी देखें. (३)
EN English Translation
The bad omen of the arrival of pigeons and owls should not do violence to our heroes and that bad omen should go away for the goodwill of our heroes. O messenger pigeon of Yama! Just as the creatures in your master's house consider you ineffective, so let us also see you. (3)
