प्रप॑थे प॒थाम॑जनिष्ट पू॒षा प्रप॑थे दि॒वः प्रप॑थे पृथि॒व्याः । उ॒भे अ॒भि प्रि॒यत॑मे स॒धस्थे॒ आ च॒ परा॑ च चरति प्रजा॒नन् ॥ (१)

मार्ग रक्षक सूर्य देव, मार्गो के आरंभ में रक्षा करने के लिए उपस्थित होते हैं. सूर्य देव पृथ्वी एवं आकाश के प्रवेश द्वार में उपस्थित होते हैं. अत्यधिक प्रेम करने वाले एवं परस्पर एक साथ स्थित धरती और आकाश दोनों को लक्षित कर के यजमानों द्वारा किए गए कर्म और उस का फल जानते हुए सूर्य आकाश से पृथ्वी पर आते हैं और पृथ्वी से आकाश पर जाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The Sun God, the protector of the way, is present to protect at the beginning of the paths. Sun God is present in the entrance of the earth and sky. The sun comes from the sky to the earth and goes from the earth to the sky, knowing the deeds done by the hosts and the fruits of it by targeting both the earth and the sky located together. (1)
पू॒षेमा आशा॒ अनु॑ वेद॒ सर्वाः॒ सो अ॒स्माँ अभ॑यतमेन नेषत् । स्व॑स्ति॒दा आघृ॑णिः॒ सर्व॑वी॒रोऽप्र॑युच्छन्पु॒र ए॑तु प्रजा॒नन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सब के पोषक सूर्य देव सभी दिशाओं को जानते हैं. वे हमें भयरहित मार्गों से ले चलें. कल्याण के दाता, दीप्तिपूर्ण एवं पुत्र, पौत्र आदि वीरों से युक्त तथा प्रमाद न करते हुए और हमें पूर्ण रूप से जानते हुए आगेआगोे चलें. (२)
EN English Translation
Everyone's nourishing Sun God knows all directions. Let them take us through fearless paths. Giver of welfare, radiant and full of heroes like son, grandson etc. and do not enlighten and know us fully, go ahead. (2)
पूष॒न्तव॑ व्र॒ते व॒यं न रि॑ष्येम क॒दा च॒न । स्तो॒तार॑स्त इ॒ह स्म॑सि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पूषा! अर्थात् सूर्य देव! तुम्हारे यज्ञरूप कर्म में संलग्न हम कभी भी नष्ट न हों. इस कर्म में हम सदा तुम्हारे स्तुतिकर्ता बनें. (३)
EN English Translation
O Pusha! That is, the Sun God! We should never be destroyed in your sacrificial deeds. In this deed, let us always praise you. (3)
परि॑ पू॒षा प॒रस्ता॒द्धस्तं॑ दधातु॒ दक्षि॑णम् । पुन॑र्नो न॒ष्टमाज॑तु॒ सं न॒ष्टेन॑ गमेमहि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पोषक सूर्य देव अधिक दूर देश से भी धन देने के लिए अपना दाहिना हाथ फैलाएं. हमारा नष्ट हुआ धन पुनः हमारे पास आए. हम अपने नष्ट हुए धन से पुनः मिल जाएं. (४)
EN English Translation
Nutritive Sun God Spread your right hand to give money even from a far away country. Our destroyed money came back to us. Let us recover from our lost wealth. (4)
