जिस प्रकार घोड़े युद्ध में पसीने से धरती सींच देते हैं, उसी प्रकार संसार को सींचने वाले मरुद्गण घोड़े पर चढ़कर गर्जन करते हुए बादल के कान के पास से जल्दी से निकल जाते हैं. सोने के टोप वाले, समान क्रोध वाले एवं वृक्ष कंपित करने वाले मरुतो! तुम काली बूंदों वाली हिरनियों पर चढ़कर हव्य वाले यजमान के पास आते हो. (३)

Just as horses irrigate the earth with sweat in war, so the deserters who irrigate the world quickly get out of the ear of the cloud, climbing on to the horse and roaring.
