च॒र्ष॒णी॒धृतं॑ म॒घवा॑नमु॒क्थ्य१॒॑मिन्द्रं॒ गिरो॑ बृह॒तीर॒भ्य॑नूषत । वा॒वृ॒धा॒नं पु॑रुहू॒तं सु॑वृ॒क्तिभि॒रम॑र्त्यं॒ जर॑माणं दि॒वेदि॑वे ॥ (१)

मानवों के धारणकर्ता, धनयुक्त, स्तुति-समूहों द्वारा प्रशंसनीय, प्रतिक्षण बढ़ते हुए स्तोताओं द्वारा अनेक बार बुलाए गए, मरणरहित एवं शोभनस्तुतियों द्वारा प्रतिदिन स्तूयमान इंद्र को हमारे विशाल स्तुति-वचन संतुष्ट करें. (१)
EN English Translation
May our vast words of praise be satisfied every day by the possessors of human beings, rich, admired by groups of praise, called many times by the growing hymns, the dyingless and the adorned ones. (1)
श॒तक्र॑तुमर्ण॒वं शा॒किनं॒ नरं॒ गिरो॑ म॒ इन्द्र॒मुप॑ यन्ति वि॒श्वतः॑ । वा॒ज॒सनिं॑ पू॒र्भिदं॒ तूर्णि॑म॒प्तुरं॑ धाम॒साच॑मभि॒षाचं॑ स्व॒र्विद॑म् ॥ (२)

शतक्रतु, जल के स्वामी, मरुतों सहित सर्वजगत् के नेता, अन्नदाता, शत्रु नगरों के भेदनकर्ता, युद्ध में शीघ्र जाने वाले, जल को प्रेरित करने वाले, तेज धारण करने वाले, शत्रुपराभवकारी एवं स्वर्ग प्राप्त कराने वाले इंद्र के पास हमारी स्तुतियां सभी प्रकार से पहुंचें. (२)
EN English Translation
May our praises reach indra in all respects to the centurion, the master of water, the leader of all worlds, the annadata, the breaker of enemy cities, the instigator of war, the one who inspires water, the fast-takers, the enemies, and the recipients of heaven. (2)
आ॒क॒रे वसो॑र्जरि॒ता प॑नस्यतेऽने॒हसः॒ स्तुभ॒ इन्द्रो॑ दुवस्यति । वि॒वस्व॑तः॒ सद॑न॒ आ हि पि॑प्रि॒ये स॑त्रा॒साह॑मभिमाति॒हनं॑ स्तुहि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शत्रुओं का बल नष्ट करने वाले इंद्र की धन के साधन युद्ध में सब स्तुति करते हैं. वह पापरहित इंद्र स्तुतियों को स्वीकार करते हैं एवं यजमान के घर में सोमपान से परम प्रसन्न होते हैं. हे विश्वमित्र! शत्रुओं का पराभव एवं संहार करने वाले इंद्र की स्तुति करो. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra, who destroys the force of enemies, is praised by all in the war by means of wealth. He accepts sinless Indra hymns and is most pleased with the sompan in the host's house. O Vishwamitra! Praise Indra, who defeats and destroys the enemies. (3)
नृ॒णामु॑ त्वा॒ नृत॑मं गी॒र्भिरु॒क्थैर॒भि प्र वी॒रम॑र्चता स॒बाधः॑ । सं सह॑से पुरुमा॒यो जि॑हीते॒ नमो॑ अस्य प्र॒दिव॒ एक॑ ईशे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मनुष्यों के उत्तम नेता एवं परमवीर इंद्र! राक्षसों द्वारा बाधित ऋत्विज् स्तुतियों एवं उवों से प्रमुख रूप से तुम्हारी पूजा करते हैं. वृत्रहनन आदि प्रसिद्ध कर्म करने वाले इंद्र शक्ति पाने के लिए गमन करते हैं. एकमात्र पुरातन एवं सर्व जगत् के स्वामी इंद्र को नमस्कार है. (४)
EN English Translation
O the perfect leader of men and the Most Merciful Indra! The rituals hindered by the demons worship you prominently with the praises and the uvas. Those who perform famous deeds like Vrithrahanan etc. travel to get Indra Shakti. Salutation salutation salutations to Indra, the only ancient and lord of all worlds. (4)
पू॒र्वीर॑स्य नि॒ष्षिधो॒ मर्त्ये॑षु पु॒रू वसू॑नि पृथि॒वी बि॑भर्ति । इन्द्रा॑य॒ द्याव॒ ओष॑धीरु॒तापो॑ र॒यिं र॑क्षन्ति जी॒रयो॒ वना॑नि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मनुष्यों पर इंद्र अनेक प्रकार से अनुशासन करते हैं. इंद्र के लिए धरती नाना प्रकार के धन धारण करती है. स्वर्ग, ओषधियां, जल, मनुष्य एवं वन इंद्र के निमित्त धनों की रक्षा करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra disciplines humans in many ways. For Indra, the earth holds various kinds of wealth. Heaven, herbs, water, man and forest protect wealth for indra's sake. (5)
तुभ्यं॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ गिर॑ इन्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॑ स॒त्रा द॑धिरे हरिवो जु॒षस्व॑ । बो॒ध्या॒३॒॑पिरव॑सो॒ नूत॑नस्य॒ सखे॑ वसो जरि॒तृभ्यो॒ वयो॑ धाः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अश्वों के स्वामी इंद्र! ऋत्विज् तुम्हारे निमित्त स्तोत्र एवं स्तुति मंत्र वास्तव में धारण करते हैं. तुम उनका सेवन करो. हे सबको निवास देने वाले, सखा एवं व्याप्त इंद्र! तुम्हारे निमित्त दिए गए अभिनव हवि को जानो तथा स्तुतिकर्तताओं को अन्न दो. (६)
EN English Translation
O Lord of the horses Indra! Ritwijs really hold hymns and hymn mantras for you. You consume them. O you who give all the abode, the rich and the pervading Indra! Know the innovative havi given to you and give food to the eulogists. (6)
इन्द्र॑ मरुत्व इ॒ह पा॑हि॒ सोमं॒ यथा॑ शार्या॒ते अपि॑बः सु॒तस्य॑ । तव॒ प्रणी॑ती॒ तव॑ शूर॒ शर्म॒न्ना वि॑वासन्ति क॒वयः॑ सुय॒ज्ञाः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतों से युक्त इंद्र! तुमने राजा शार्यात के यज्ञ में जिस प्रकार सोमरस पिआ था, उसी प्रकार इस यज्ञ में भी पिओ. हे शूर! तुम्हारे बाधाहीन निवास में स्थित शोभन यज्ञ करने वाले बुद्धिमान् तुम्हें हव्य देकर तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra with the maruts! Just as you drank someras in the yajna of King Shariat, drink in this yajna also. Oh, Shur! The wise men who perform shobhan yajna in your unhindered abode serve you by giving you a greeting. (7)
स वा॑वशा॒न इ॒ह पा॑हि॒ सोमं॑ म॒रुद्भि॑रिन्द्र॒ सखि॑भिः सु॒तं नः॑ । जा॒तं यत्त्वा॒ परि॑ दे॒वा अभू॑षन्म॒हे भरा॑य पुरुहूत॒ विश्वे॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सोमरस पीने की अभिलाषा करते हुए तुम अपने मित्र मरुतों के साथ इस यज्ञ में आओ एवं हमारे द्वारा निचोड़ा गया सोम पिओ. हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! तुम्हारे जन्म लेते ही सब देवों ने तुम्हें महान् युद्ध के लिए विभूषित किया. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Wishing to drink somras, you come to this yagna with your friend Maruts and drink the soma we have squeezed out. O Indra called by many! As soon as you were born, all the gods distinguished you for the great war. (8)
अ॒प्तूर्ये॑ मरुत आ॒पिरे॒षोऽम॑न्द॒न्निन्द्र॒मनु॒ दाति॑वाराः । तेभिः॑ सा॒कं पि॑बतु वृत्रखा॒दः सु॒तं सोमं॑ दा॒शुषः॒ स्वे स॒धस्थे॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! जलवर्षण की प्रेरणा के कारण इंद्र तुम्हारे मित्र हैं. मरुतों ने इंद्र को प्रसन्न किया था. वृत्रहंता इंद्र उनके साथ यजमान के अपने घर में निचोड़े गए सोम को पिएं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! Indra is your friend because of the inspiration of water showering. The Maruts had pleased Indra. Vrithrahanta Indra drink the soma squeezed with them in his house of hosts. (9)
इ॒दं ह्यन्वोज॑सा सु॒तं रा॑धानां पते । पिबा॒ त्व१॒॑स्य गि॑र्वणः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धन के स्वामी एवं स्तुतियों द्वारा पूजनीय इंद्र! तुम्हारे उद्देश्य से शक्ति द्वारा निचोड़े गए सोम को जल्दी पिओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the lord of wealth and revered by the praises! Drink quickly to the mon squeezed by the power from your purpose. (10)
यस्ते॒ अनु॑ स्व॒धामस॑त्सु॒ते नि य॑च्छ त॒न्व॑म् । स त्वा॑ ममत्तु सो॒म्यम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हव्य अन्न के पश्चात् तुम्हारे लिए जो सोम निचोड़ा गया है, उस में अपने शरीर को डुबो दो. सोमपान के योग्य तुमको वह सोमरस प्रसन्न करे. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Dip your body in the som that has been squeezed for you after the havya grain. May that Somras please you worthy of sompan. (11)
प्र ते॑ अश्नोतु कु॒क्ष्योः प्रेन्द्र॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒ शिरः॑ । प्र बा॒हू शू॑र॒ राध॑से ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! वह सोमरस तुम्हारी दोनों कोखों को भर दे. स्तोत्रों के साथ निचोड़ा गया वह सोम तुम्हारे शरीर को व्याप्त करे. हे शूर! यह सोम धन के लिए तुम्हारी भुजाओं को व्याप्त करे. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! That somras fill both your wombs. May that mon, squeezed with hymns, permeate your body. Oh, Shur! Let it permeate your arms for mon dhan. (12)
