इ॒मं म॒हे वि॑द॒थ्या॑य शू॒षं शश्व॒त्कृत्व॒ ईड्या॑य॒ प्र ज॑भ्रुः । शृ॒णोतु॑ नो॒ दम्ये॑भि॒रनी॑कैः शृ॒णोत्व॒ग्निर्दि॒व्यैरज॑स्रः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सब लोग महान्, यज्ञ में मंथन द्वारा उत्पन्न एवं सबके द्वारा स्तुति योग्य अग्नि को लक्ष्य करके यह सुखकर स्तोत्र बार-बार बोलते हैं. अग्नि शत्रुओं का दमन करने में कुशल, तेज से युक्त एवं दिव्यतेज से निरंतर मिलित होकर हमारे इस स्तोत्र को सुने. (१)
EN English Translation
All the people speak this happy hymn again and again, great, by creating a churning in the yajna and by aiming at the agni that is praiseworthy by all. Let us listen to this hymn by being skilled in suppressing the agni enemies, fast-paced and constantly meeting the divine. (1)
महि॑ म॒हे दि॒वे अ॑र्चा पृथि॒व्यै कामो॑ म इ॒च्छञ्च॑रति प्रजा॒नन् । ययो॑र्ह॒ स्तोमे॑ वि॒दथे॑षु दे॒वाः स॑प॒र्यवो॑ मा॒दय॑न्ते॒ सचा॒योः ॥ (२)

हे स्तोता! तुम महान् आकाश एवं महती पृथ्वी के महत्त्व को जानते हुए उनकी स्तुति करो. मेरा मनोरथ सभी भोगों की अभिलाषा करता है. मानवों के यज्ञों में धरती-आकाश की सेवा के इच्छुक देवगण मिलकर स्तुति करने में प्रसन्न होते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! You must praise them knowing the importance of the great heavens and the great earth. My mind desires all the enjoyments. In the yagnas of human beings, the gods who want to serve the earth and the sky are happy to praise together. (2)
यु॒वोरृ॒तं रो॑दसी स॒त्यम॑स्तु म॒हे षु णः॑ सुवि॒ताय॒ प्र भू॑तम् । इ॒दं दि॒वे नमो॑ अग्ने पृथि॒व्यै स॑प॒र्यामि॒ प्रय॑सा॒ यामि॒ रत्न॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धरती-आकाश! तुम्हारी स्तुति वास्तविक बने. तुम हमारे यज्ञों की समाप्ति एवं हमें महान् अभ्युदय देने में समर्थ बनो. हे अग्नि! धरती एवं आकाश को नमस्कार है. मैं हवि से उनकी सेवा करता हूं एवं उनसे धन मांगता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
O earth and sky! May your praise be real. Be able to conclude our yagnas and give us great abhyudaya. O agni! Greetings to the earth and the sky. I serve them and ask them for money. (3)
उ॒तो हि वां॑ पू॒र्व्या आ॑विवि॒द्र ऋता॑वरी रोदसी सत्य॒वाचः॑ । नर॑श्चिद्वां समि॒थे शूर॑सातौ ववन्दि॒रे पृ॑थिवि॒ वेवि॑दानाः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सत्यधारक धरती और आकाश! पुरातन सत्यवादी ऋषियों ने तुमसे वांछित वस्तुएं प्राप्त की थीं. हे पृथ्वी! युद्ध में जाने वाले लोग भी तुम्हारा महत्त्व जानते हुए तुम्हारी वंदना करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O the true-endowner, the earth and the heavens! The ancient truthful sages had obtained the desired things from you. O earth! Even those who go to war worship you knowing your importance. (4)
को अ॒द्धा वे॑द॒ क इ॒ह प्र वो॑चद्दे॒वाँ अच्छा॑ प॒थ्या॒३॒॑ का समे॑ति । ददृ॑श्र एषामव॒मा सदां॑सि॒ परे॑षु॒ या गुह्ये॑षु व्र॒तेषु॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उस सत्य बात को कौन जानता है? उसे कौन करता है? देवों के सामने कौन सा मार्ग भली-भांति जाता है? स्वर्ग में स्थित देवस्थानों से नीचे जो स्थान दिखाई देते हैं एवं जो उत्तम तथा कष्टसाध्य व्रतों द्वारा प्राप्त होते हैं, उन स्थानों को कौन सा मार्ग जाता है? (५)
EN English Translation
Who knows that truth? Who does it? Which path goes well before the gods? What path goes to the places that are seen below the places of the gods in heaven and which are attained by the best and painful fasts? (5)
क॒विर्नृ॒चक्षा॑ अ॒भि षी॑मचष्ट ऋ॒तस्य॒ योना॒ विघृ॑ते॒ मद॑न्ती । नाना॑ चक्राते॒ सद॑नं॒ यथा॒ वेः स॑मा॒नेन॒ क्रतु॑ना संविदा॒ने ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कवि एवं मानवों को देखने वाले सूर्य इस धरती-आकाश को सभी जगह देखते हैं. प्रसन्न, जल एवं ओषधियों को धारण करने वाले तथा समान कर्मो द्वारा एकता को प्राप्त धरती-आकाश जल के उत्पत्ति स्थल अंतरिक्ष में इस प्रकार अलग-अलग स्थानों में रहते हैं, जैसे पक्षी अपने घोंसले अलग-अलग बनाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
The sun, who sees poets and human beings, sees this earth and sky everywhere. The origins of the earth-sky water, which are happy, possessing water and herbs and attaining unity through the same deeds, live in different places in space, as birds build their nests separately. (6)
स॒मा॒न्या वियु॑ते दू॒रेअ॑न्ते ध्रु॒वे प॒दे त॑स्थतुर्जाग॒रूके॑ । उ॒त स्वसा॑रा युव॒ती भव॑न्ती॒ आदु॑ ब्रुवाते मिथु॒नानि॒ नाम॑ ॥ (७)

एक-दूसरे से एकता को प्राप्त, पृथकपृथक् स्थित एवं विनाशरहित धरती-आकाश जागरूक होकर स्थिर अंतरिक्ष में इस प्रकार स्थित हैं, जैसे दो जवान बहिनें हों. वे दोनों मिलकर जोड़े का नाम प्राप्त करती हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
The earth-sky, which is in unity with each other, is isolated and the earth-sky without destruction is consciously located in a still space, as if two young sisters were. They both get the name of the couple together. (7)
विश्वेदे॒ते जनि॑मा॒ सं वि॑विक्तो म॒हो दे॒वान्बिभ्र॑ती॒ न व्य॑थेते । एज॑द्ध्रु॒वं प॑त्यते॒ विश्व॒मेकं॒ चर॑त्पत॒त्रि विषु॑णं॒ वि जा॒तम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये धरती-आकाश समस्त वस्तुओं का विभाग करते हैं एवं महान् देवों को धारण करके भी दुःखी नहीं होते. जंगम एवं स्थावर विश्व एकमात्र धरती को प्राप्त करता है. चंचल पक्षी नाना रूप धारण करके इनके बीच में स्थित होते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
These earth and sky divide all things and do not grieve even after possessing the great gods. The movable and immovable world receives the only earth. Playful birds take various forms and are located in the middle of them. (8)
सना॑ पुरा॒णमध्ये॑म्या॒रान्म॒हः पि॒तुर्ज॑नि॒तुर्जा॒मि तन्नः॑ । दे॒वासो॒ यत्र॑ पनि॒तार॒ एवै॑रु॒रौ प॒थि व्यु॑ते त॒स्थुर॒न्तः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान्, सबके पालक एवं जननकर्ता आकाश का सनातनत्व, प्राचीनता एवं एक ही स्थान से अपना तथा उसका जन्म मैं जानता हूं. इसलिए मैं उसे अपनी बहिन स्वीकार करता हूं. उस आकाश के विस्तीर्ण मार्ग में भिन्न-भिन्न देव अपने-अपने वाहनों सहित स्तुति करते हुए स्थित हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
I know the eternalness, antiquity, and birth of the great, the guardian and the creator of all, the heavens, and its birth from one place. That's why I accept her as my sister. In the vast path of that sky, different gods are seated with their vehicles praising. (9)
इ॒मं स्तोमं॑ रोदसी॒ प्र ब्र॑वीम्यृदू॒दराः॑ शृणवन्नग्निजि॒ह्वाः । मि॒त्रः स॒म्राजो॒ वरु॑णो॒ युवा॑न आदि॒त्यासः॑ क॒वयः॑ पप्रथा॒नाः ॥ (१०)

हे धरती-आकाश! हम तुम्हारे इस स्तोत्र को बोलते हैं. सोमरस पेट में रखने वाले, अग्नि रूपी जिह्वा से युक्त, भली-भांति दीप्त, नित्य तरुण, क्रांतदर्शी एवं अपने-अपने कर्मो का विस्तार करने वाले मित्र, वरुण एवं आदित्य इस स्तोत्र को सुनें. (१०)
EN English Translation
O earth and sky! We speak to this hymn of yours. Listen to this hymn, Varuna and Aditya, who keep the somras in the stomach, full of agni-like tongue, well-lit, nitya tarun, revolutionary and friends who extend their deeds. (10)
हिर॑ण्यपाणिः सवि॒ता सु॑जि॒ह्वस्त्रिरा दि॒वो वि॒दथे॒ पत्य॑मानः । दे॒वेषु॑ च सवितः॒ श्लोक॒मश्रे॒राद॒स्मभ्य॒मा सु॑व स॒र्वता॑तिम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देने के निमित्त हाथ में सोना लिए हुए एवं शोभन वचनों वाले सविता देव यज्ञ के तीनों सवनों में आकाश से आते हैं. हे सविता! स्तोताओं का स्तोत्र प्राप्त करो एवं हमारे लिए समस्त अभिलषित फल प्रदान करो. (११)
EN English Translation
Savita Dev, holding gold in her hand and bearing shobhan vachanas, comes from the sky in all the three saavanas of the yajna. O Savita! Get the psalms of the psalms and provide us with all the desired fruits. (11)
सु॒कृत्सु॑पा॒णिः स्ववा॑ँ ऋ॒तावा॑ दे॒वस्त्वष्टाव॑से॒ तानि॑ नो धात् । पू॒ष॒ण्वन्त॑ ऋभवो मादयध्वमू॒र्ध्वग्रा॑वाणो अध्व॒रम॑तष्ट ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शोभन जगत् के कर्त्ता, सुंदर हाथ वाले, धनयुक्त एवं सत्य संकल्प त्वष्टा देव रक्षा के लिए हमें अभिलषित फल दें. हे ऋभु.ओ! तुम पूषा के साथ मिलकर हमें प्रसन्न करो, क्योंकि सोम निचोड़ने के लिए पत्थर उठाने वाले ऋत्विजों ने यह यज्ञ किया है. (१२)
EN English Translation
Give us the desired fruits for the protection of the god of adornment, the creator of the beautiful hand, the rich and the true resolve. O Lord.o! Please us together with The Pusha, because the ritwijas who lift the stones to squeeze the mon have performed this yajna. (12)
वि॒द्युद्र॑था म॒रुत॑ ऋष्टि॒मन्तो॑ दि॒वो मर्या॑ ऋ॒तजा॑ता अ॒यासः॑ । सर॑स्वती शृणवन्य॒ज्ञिया॑सो॒ धाता॑ र॒यिं स॒हवी॑रं तुरासः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तेजस्वी रथों वाले, ऋष्टि नामक आयुध युक्त, द्योतमान, शत्रुओं को मारने वाले, यज्ञ से उत्पन्न, नित्य गतिशील एवं यज्ञ के योग्य मरुद्गण तथा सरस्वती हमारे स्तोत्र को सुनें. हे शीघ्रता करने वाले मरुतो! हमें पुत्रों सहित धन दो. (१३)
EN English Translation
Listen to our hymns of worship, with bright chariots, with an ordnance called Rishti, the ones who kill enemies, those born of yajna, the eternally moving and worthy deserts of the yagna, and saraswati. O you who hurry, Maruto! Give us wealth including sons. (13)
विष्णुं॒ स्तोमा॑सः पुरुद॒स्मम॒र्का भग॑स्येव का॒रिणो॒ याम॑नि ग्मन् । उ॒रु॒क्र॒मः क॑कु॒हो यस्य॑ पू॒र्वीर्न म॑र्धन्ति युव॒तयो॒ जनि॑त्रीः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारा यह धनमूलक स्तोत्र तथा पूज्य मंत्र नित्य विस्तृत इस यज्ञ में बहुकर्मा विष्णु को प्राप्त हो. सबको जन्म देने वाली एवं परस्पर दूर स्थित दिशाएं उनकी आज्ञा का उल्लंघन नहीं करतीं. विष्णु का पादविक्षेप महान् है. (१४)
EN English Translation
May this rich hymn and the revered mantra of ours be received by Bahukarma Vishnu in this yajna, constantly detailed. The directions that give birth to all and are far away from each other do not violate his command. Vishnu's footfall is great. (14)
इन्द्रो॒ विश्वै॑र्वी॒र्यै॒३॒ः॑ पत्य॑मान उ॒भे आ प॑प्रौ॒ रोद॑सी महि॒त्वा । पु॒रं॒द॒रो वृ॑त्र॒हा धृ॒ष्णुषे॑णः सं॒गृभ्या॑ न॒ आ भ॑रा॒ भूरि॑ प॒श्वः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
समस्त सामर्थ्या से युक्त इंद्र ने अपनी महिमा से धरती और आकाश दोनों को पूर्ण कर दिया है. शत्रु नगरों का ध्वंस करने वाले, वृत्रविनाशक एवं शन्रुपराभवकारिणी सेना के स्वामी इंद्र! तुम पशुओं को एकत्र करके अधिक मात्रा में हमें दो. (१५)
EN English Translation
Indra, who has all the power, has perfected both the earth and the sky with His glory. Indra, the destroyer of enemy cities, the destroyer of the vrithra-destroyer and the Shanruparabhavakrani army! You give us more quantities by collecting the animals. (15)
नास॑त्या मे पि॒तरा॑ बन्धु॒पृच्छा॑ सजा॒त्य॑म॒श्विनो॒श्चारु॒ नाम॑ । यु॒वं हि स्थो र॑यि॒दौ नो॑ रयी॒णां दा॒त्रं र॑क्षेथे॒ अक॑वै॒रद॑ब्धा ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बंधुओं की अभिलाषा जानने के इच्छुक अश्विनीकुमारो! तुम हमारे पालनकर्ता बनो बुम दोनों का मिलन अत्यंत सुंदर है. तुम दोनों हमारे लिए महान् धन देने वाले बनो. तुम्हारा कोई तिरस्कार नहीं कर सकता. हवि देने वाले हमें उत्तम कमो से रक्षित करो. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Ashwinikumaro who wants to know the desire of the brothers! You become our follower bum the union of the two is extremely beautiful. Be the great givers to us, both of you. No one can despise you. Protect us from the best of the givers. (16)
म॒हत्तद्वः॑ कवय॒श्चारु॒ नाम॒ यद्ध॑ देवा॒ भव॑थ॒ विश्व॒ इन्द्रे॑ । सख॑ ऋ॒भुभिः॑ पुरुहूत प्रि॒येभि॑रि॒मां धियं॑ सा॒तये॑ तक्षता नः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मेधावी देवो! जिस कर्म से तुमने इंद्रलोक में देवत्व प्राप्त किया है, तुम्हारे वे कर्म महान् हैं. हे बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए एवं ऋभुओं के साथी इंद्र! हमारी यह स्तुति धन प्राप्त करने के लिए स्वीकार करो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O bright gods! The deeds by which you have attained divinity in Indraloka, those deeds of yours are great. O Indra, who has been called by many and the companions of the sages! Accept our praise for receiving wealth. (17)
अ॒र्य॒मा णो॒ अदि॑तिर्य॒ज्ञिया॒सोऽद॑ब्धानि॒ वरु॑णस्य व्र॒तानि॑ । यु॒योत॑ नो अनप॒त्यानि॒ गन्तोः॑ प्र॒जावा॑न्नः पशु॒माँ अ॑स्तु गा॒तुः ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूर्य, अदिति, यज्ञ के योग्य देवगण एवं हिंसारहित कर्म वाले वरुण हमारी रक्षा करें. तुम सब हमारे मार्ग के पतनकारक कर्मो को दूर करो. हमारा घर पशु तथा संतान से पूर्ण हो. (१८)
EN English Translation
May the Sun, Aditi, the deities worthy of the yagna and varuna with no violence protect us. You all remove the degenerating deeds of our path. May our house be full of animals and children. (18)
दे॒वानां॑ दू॒तः पु॑रु॒ध प्रसू॒तोऽना॑गान्नो वोचतु स॒र्वता॑ता । शृ॒णोतु॑ नः पृथि॒वी द्यौरु॒तापः॒ सूर्यो॒ नक्ष॑त्रैरु॒र्व१॒॑न्तरि॑क्षम् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अनेक स्थानों में देवों के दूत रूप में प्रसिद्ध अग्नि हमें सभी जगह निरपराध घोषित करें. धरती, आकाश, जल, सूर्य एवं नक्षत्रों से भरा हुआ विशाल आकाश हमारी स्तुति सुने. (१९)
EN English Translation
Let agni, famous as messengers of the gods in many places, declare us innocent everywhere. Let the earth, the sky, the water, the sun and the vast sky full of constellations hear our praises. (19)
शृ॒ण्वन्तु॑ नो॒ वृष॑णः॒ पर्व॑तासो ध्रु॒वक्षे॑मास॒ इळ॑या॒ मद॑न्तः । आ॒दि॒त्यैर्नो॒ अदि॑तिः शृणोतु॒ यच्छ॑न्तु नो म॒रुतः॒ शर्म॑ भ॒द्रम् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अभिलषित फल देने वाले मरुद्गण एवं याचकों की अभिलाषा पूरी करने वाले स्थिर पर्वत हव्य से प्रसन्न होते हुए हमारी स्तुति सुनें. अदिति अपने पुत्रों के साथ हमारी स्तुति सुनें एवं मरुद्गण हमें कल्याणकारी सुख दे. (२०)
EN English Translation
Listen to our praise while being pleased with the stable mountain, Havya, which fulfills the desire of the deserts and priests who give the desired fruits. Aditi, along with her sons, listen to our praise and may the deserts give us good happiness. (20)
सदा॑ सु॒गः पि॑तु॒माँ अ॑स्तु॒ पन्था॒ मध्वा॑ देवा॒ ओष॑धीः॒ सं पि॑पृक्त । भगो॑ मे अग्ने स॒ख्ये न मृ॑ध्या॒ उद्रा॒यो अ॑श्यां॒ सद॑नं पुरु॒क्षोः ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हमारा मार्ग सुगम एवं अन्न से पूर्ण हो. हे देवगण! मधुर जल से ओषधियों को सींचो. हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी मित्रता प्राप्त करके हमारा धन नष्ट न हो. हम धन एवं प्रभूत अन्न का स्थान प्राप्त करें. (२१)
EN English Translation
O agni! May our path be smooth and complete with food. O Gods! Irrigate the herbs with sweet water. O agni! Do not waste our money by getting your friendship. Let us get the place of wealth and rich food. (21)
स्वद॑स्व ह॒व्या समिषो॑ दिदीह्यस्म॒द्र्य१॒॑क्सं मि॑मीहि॒ श्रवां॑सि । विश्वा॑ँ अग्ने पृ॒त्सु ताञ्जे॑षि॒ शत्रू॒नहा॒ विश्वा॑ सु॒मना॑ दीदिही नः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हव्य का स्वाद लो, हमारे अन्न को भली प्रकार प्रकाशित करो एवं उन दीप्ति अन्नों को हमारे सामने लाओ. संग्राम में उन समस्त शत्रुओं को जीतो एवं प्रसन्न मन से हमारे सभी दिनों को प्रकाशित बनाओ. (२२)
EN English Translation
O agni! Taste the heart, light up our food well and bring those radiant grains before us. Conquer all those enemies in the battle and make all our days light with a happy heart. (22)
