हे शत्रुनाशक इंद्र! तुमने प्रशंसनीय कार्य किया है. हे शूर इंद्र! तुमने शंबर असुर के सैकड़ों एवं हजारों योद्धाओं को विदीर्ण किया था. तुमने पर्वत से उत्पन्न एवं यज्ञादि कर्मो के विघातक शंबर असुर को मारा था एवं विचित्र रक्षासाधनों द्वारा दिवोदास का पालन किया था. (५)

O enemies Indra! You have done a commendable job. O Shur Indra! You scattered hundreds and thousands of warriors of shambar asuras. You had killed the Shambar Asura, born of the mountain and the destroyer of the yagnadi karma, and followed Divodas with strange means of defense. (5)
