आ वा॑यो भूष शुचिपा॒ उप॑ नः स॒हस्रं॑ ते नि॒युतो॑ विश्ववार । उपो॑ ते॒ अन्धो॒ मद्य॑मयामि॒ यस्य॑ देव दधि॒षे पू॑र्व॒पेय॑म् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विशुद्ध सोमरस के पीने वाले वायु! हमारे पास आओ. हे सबके वरणीय वायु! तुम्हारे हजार घोड़े हैं. हे वायु! तुम जिस सोमरस को सबसे पहले पीने का अधिकार रखते हो, वही नशीला सोम पात्र में रखा है. (१)
EN English Translation
O purely drinking air of somers! Come to us. O favorite air of all! You have a thousand horses. O air! The somras that you have the right to drink first of all, is the same kept in the intoxicating som patra. (1)
प्र सोता॑ जी॒रो अ॑ध्व॒रेष्व॑स्था॒त्सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य वा॒यवे॒ पिब॑ध्यै । प्र यद्वां॒ मध्वो॑ अग्रि॒यं भर॑न्त्यध्व॒र्यवो॑ देव॒यन्तः॒ शची॑भिः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शीघ्र काम करने वाले एवं सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले अध्वर्यु ने इंद्र तथा वायु को पीने के लिए यज्ञ में सोमरस स्थापित किया है. हे इंद्र एवं वायु! देवों की कामना करने वाले अध्वर्यु लोगों ने अपने कर्म द्वारा इस यज्ञ में सोमरस का उत्तम भाग तुम्हारे लिए तैयार किया है. (२)
EN English Translation
Adhwaryu, who works quickly and squeezes somras, has installed somras in the yagna to drink Indra and the air. O Indra and Air! The Adhwaryu people who wish for the gods have prepared for you the best part of somras in this yajna through their karma. (2)
प्र याभि॒र्यासि॑ दा॒श्वांस॒मच्छा॑ नि॒युद्भि॑र्वायवि॒ष्टये॑ दुरो॒णे । नि नो॑ र॒यिं सु॒भोज॑सं युवस्व॒ नि वी॒रं गव्य॒मश्व्यं॑ च॒ राधः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वायु! यज्ञशाला में स्थित हव्यदाता यजमान का यज्ञ पूर्ण करने के लिए जिन घोड़ों के द्वारा तुम उसके सामने जाते हो, उन्हीं की सहायता से हमारे यज्ञ में आओ. हमें शोभन अन्न वाला धन, वीरपुत्र, गायों एवं अश्वों के रूप में ऐश्वर्य प्रदान करो. (३)
EN English Translation
O air! To complete the yajna of the havandata host located in the yajnashala, come to our yajna with the help of the horses by which you go in front of him. Give us glory in the form of wealth, brave sons, cows and horses with rich food. (3)
ये वा॒यव॑ इन्द्र॒माद॑नास॒ आदे॑वासो नि॒तोश॑नासो अ॒र्यः । घ्नन्तो॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ सू॒रिभिः॑ ष्याम सास॒ह्वांसो॑ यु॒धा नृभि॑र॒मित्रा॑न् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो स्तोता अपनी स्तुतियों द्वारा इंद्र एवं वायु को तृप्त करने वाले एवं दिव्य गुणों से युक्त हैं, वे शत्रुओं का नाश करते हैं. उन्हीं स्तोताओं की सहायता से हम अपने शत्रुओं का नाश करते हुए शत्रुओं को युद्ध में हरावें. (४)
EN English Translation
The stothas who satisfy Indra and the air through their praises and possess divine qualities destroy the enemies. With the help of these stoetas, let us destroy our enemies and defeat our enemies in battle. (4)
आ नो॑ नि॒युद्भिः॑ श॒तिनी॑भिरध्व॒रं स॑ह॒स्रिणी॑भि॒रुप॑ याहि य॒ज्ञम् । वायो॑ अ॒स्मिन्सव॑ने मादयस्व यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वायु! अपने सैकड़ों एवं हजारों घोड़ों की सहायता से हमारे यज्ञ के पास आओ एवं इस यज्ञ में सोमरस पीकर प्रसन्न बनो. हे देवो! रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमारा सदा कल्याण करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O air! With the help of your hundreds and thousands of horses, come to our yajna and be happy to drink somras in this yajna. Oh, God! Always do our well-being by means of defense. (5)
