इन्द्रः॑ सु॒तेषु॒ सोमे॑षु॒ क्रतुं॑ पुनीत उ॒क्थ्य॑म् । वि॒दे वृ॒धस्य॒ दक्ष॑सो म॒हान्हि षः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर यज्ञ करने वाले एवं स्तोता को पवित्र करते हैं एवं बढ़े हुए बल के लाभ के लिए महान् हुए हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra Somras sanctifies the yajna-doers and stotas when they go to Nikud and have become great for the benefit of the increased force. (1)
स प्र॑थ॒मे व्यो॑मनि दे॒वानां॒ सद॑ने वृ॒धः । सु॒पा॒रः सु॒श्रव॑स्तमः॒ सम॑प्सु॒जित् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे इंद्र विस्तृत व्योमरूप देवस्थान में देवों को बढ़ाते हैं. इंद्र यज्ञकर्म पूरा करने वाले, शोभन यश वाले एवं जल पीने के लिए वृत्र के विजेता हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
They raise the devas in the Indra elaborate Vyomrup Devasthan. Indra is the winner of the vritra for completing yajnakarma, Shobhan Yash wale and drinking water. (2)
तम॑ह्वे॒ वाज॑सातय॒ इन्द्रं॒ भरा॑य शु॒ष्मिण॑म् । भवा॑ नः सु॒म्ने अन्त॑मः॒ सखा॑ वृ॒धे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं अन्नप्राप्ति के हेतु होने वाले संग्राम में सहायता के लिए शक्तिशाली इंद्र को बुलाता हूं. हे इंद्र! तुम हमारा इच्छित धन बढ़ाने के लिए हमारे मित्र बनो. (३)
EN English Translation
I call upon the mighty Indra to help in the struggle for food. O Indra! You become our friend to increase our desired wealth. (3)
इ॒यं त॑ इन्द्र गिर्वणो रा॒तिः क्ष॑रति सुन्व॒तः । म॒न्दा॒नो अ॒स्य ब॒र्हिषो॒ वि रा॑जसि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतियों द्वारा सेवा करने योग्य इंद्र! सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमान की यह आहुति तुम्हें प्राप्त होती है. तुम प्रसन्न होकर इस यज्ञ में विराजो. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra worthy of service by the praises! You receive this offering of the host who squeezes the somras. Rejoice you in this yagna. (4)
नू॒नं तदि॑न्द्र दद्धि नो॒ यत्त्वा॑ सु॒न्वन्त॒ ईम॑हे । र॒यिं न॑श्चि॒त्रमा भ॑रा स्व॒र्विद॑म् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले हम जिस धन की अभिलाषा करते हैं, वह हमें दो. तुम हमें स्वर्ग देने वाला विचित्र धन दो. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give us the money we desire to squeeze the somras. You give us the strange wealth that gives us heaven. (5)
स्तो॒ता यत्ते॒ विच॑र्षणिरतिप्रश॒र्धय॒द्गिरः॑ । व॒या इ॒वानु॑ रोहते जु॒षन्त॒ यत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! विशेषरूप से देखने वाले स्तोता जिस समय तुम्हारे प्रति शत्रुओं को हराने में समर्थ स्तुतियां करते हैं एवं उनके द्वारा तुम्हें प्रसन्न करते हैं, उस समय तुम में सभी गुण इस प्रकार आ जाते हैं जैसे एक वृक्ष में बहुत सी शाखाएं होती हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! At a time when the seeing psalmists, especially, praise you capable of defeating enemies and please you through them, at that time all the qualities come to you as if a tree has many branches. (6)
प्र॒त्न॒वज्ज॑नया॒ गिरः॑ शृणु॒धी ज॑रि॒तुर्हव॑म् । मदे॑मदे ववक्षिथा सु॒कृत्व॑ने ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम पहले के समान स्तोताओं द्वारा स्तुतियां उत्पन्न कराओ एवं स्तोताओं की पुकार सुनो. तुम सोमरस द्वारा प्रसन्नता प्राप्त करके शोभन कर्म करने वाले यजमान को मनचाहा फल देते हो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You produce praises through the same hymns as before and listen to the call of the psalms. You get happiness through somers and give the desired fruits to the host who performs the shobhan karma. (7)
क्रीळ॑न्त्यस्य सू॒नृता॒ आपो॒ न प्र॒वता॑ य॒तीः । अ॒या धि॒या य उ॒च्यते॒ पति॑र्दि॒वः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र की सच्ची बातें नीचे की ओर बहने वाली जलधारा के समान विहार करती हैं. हमारी इस स्तुति द्वारा स्वर्ग के स्वामी की प्रशंसा होती है. (८)
EN English Translation
Indra's true words are like a stream flowing downwards. The Lord of heaven is praised by this praise of us. (8)
उ॒तो पति॒र्य उ॒च्यते॑ कृष्टी॒नामेक॒ इद्व॒शी । न॒मो॒वृ॒धैर॑व॒स्युभिः॑ सु॒ते र॑ण ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वश में करने वाले एकमात्र इंद्र ही मनुष्यों का पालन करने वाले कहे गए हैं. हे इंद्र! तुम स्तुतियों द्वारा बढ़ने वालों एवं रक्षा के इच्छुक लोगों के साथ सोमरस पीकर प्रसन्न बनो. (९)
EN English Translation
The only Indra to subdue is said to be the one who follows human beings. O Indra! Be happy to drink somras with those who grow by praise and those who want to be protected. (9)
स्तु॒हि श्रु॒तं वि॑प॒श्चितं॒ हरी॒ यस्य॑ प्रस॒क्षिणा॑ । गन्ता॑रा दा॒शुषो॑ गृ॒हं न॑म॒स्विनः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोता! विद्वान् एवं प्रसिद्ध इंद्र की स्तुति करो. उनके दोनों शत्रुविजयी घोड़े हव्यदाता यजमान के घर जाने वाले हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
This is the hymn! Praise the learned and famous Indra. Both of his enemies are going to go to the house of the horse-bearer host. (10)
तू॒तु॒जा॒नो म॑हेम॒तेऽश्वे॑भिः प्रुषि॒तप्सु॑भिः । आ या॑हि य॒ज्ञमा॒शुभिः॒ शमिद्धि ते॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे महाफल देने वाली बुद्धि से युक्त इंद्र! तुम शीघ्र चलने वाले एवं चिकने घोड़े के साथ यज्ञ में आओ. उस यज्ञ में तुम्हें सुख मिलता है. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra with the wisdom of giving great fruit! You come to the yagna with a quick-moving and smooth horse. In that yajna you get happiness. (11)
इन्द्र॑ शविष्ठ सत्पते र॒यिं गृ॒णत्सु॑ धारय । श्रवः॑ सू॒रिभ्यो॑ अ॒मृतं॑ वसुत्व॒नम् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्तिशालियों में श्रेष्ठ एवं सज्जनों के पालक इंद्र! हम स्तुति करने वालों को धन दो एवं स्तोताओं को मरणरहित तथा व्यापक यश दो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the best of the mighty and the father of the gentlemen! Let us give money to those who praise and give deathless and comprehensive glory to the psalms. (12)
हवे॑ त्वा॒ सूर॒ उदि॑ते॒ हवे॑ म॒ध्यंदि॑ने दि॒वः । जु॒षा॒ण इ॑न्द्र॒ सप्ति॑भिर्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मैं तुम्हें सूर्य निकलने पर एवं दोपहर के समय बुलाता हूं. तुम प्रसन्न होकर अपने तेज चलने वाले घोड़ों के द्वारा आओ. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! I'll call you at sun and at noon. You come by your fast-moving horses with delight. (13)
आ तू ग॑हि॒ प्र तु द्र॑व॒ मत्स्वा॑ सु॒तस्य॒ गोम॑तः । तन्तुं॑ तनुष्व पू॒र्व्यं यथा॑ वि॒दे ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! शीघ्र आओ एवं यज्ञ में जाओ. वहां गाय के दूध से मिले हुए सोमरस से प्रसन्न बनो. लुम पूर्वजों द्वारा किए हुए यज्ञ को उसी प्रकार बढ़ाओ, जिस प्रकार मैं जानता हूं. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Come quickly and go to the yagna. Be pleased with the somras mixed with cow's milk there. Enhance the yajna performed by lum ancestors in the same way as I know it. (14)
यच्छ॒क्रासि॑ परा॒वति॒ यद॑र्वा॒वति॑ वृत्रहन् । यद्वा॑ समु॒द्रे अन्ध॑सोऽवि॒तेद॑सि ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्तिशाली एवं वृत्रहंता इंद्र! तुम चाहे दूरवर्ती स्थान में होओ, चाहे समीपवर्ती स्थान में होओ, चाहे सागर में होओ, सब स्थानों से आओ एवं सोमरस पीकर प्रसन्न बनो. (१५)
EN English Translation
O mighty and victorious Indra! Whether you are in a distant place, whether you are in a nearby place, whether you are in the sea, come from all places and be happy to drink somras. (15)
इन्द्रं॑ वर्धन्तु नो॒ गिर॒ इन्द्रं॑ सु॒तास॒ इन्द॑वः । इन्द्रे॑ ह॒विष्म॑ती॒र्विशो॑ अराणिषुः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारी स्तुतियां एवं निचोड़े हुए सोमरस इंद्र को बढ़ावें. हव्य धारण करने वाली प्रजाएं इंद्र के प्रति श्रद्धा रखती हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
May our praises and squeezed somers raise Indra. The people who hold the havya have reverence for Indra. (16)
तमिद्विप्रा॑ अव॒स्यवः॑ प्र॒वत्व॑तीभिरू॒तिभिः॑ । इन्द्रं॑ क्षो॒णीर॑वर्धयन्व॒या इ॑व ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुद्धिमान् एवं रक्षा चाहने वाले स्तोता इंद्र को तृप्त करने वाली स्तुतियों द्वारा बढ़ाते हैं. सब लोक वृक्ष की शाखाओं के समान इंद्र के अधीन होकर उन्हें बढ़ाते है. (१७)
EN English Translation
The wise and the protector-seeking hymns enhance Indra with satiating hymns. All the people submit to Indra like the branches of the tree and raise them. (17)
त्रिक॑द्रुकेषु॒ चेत॑नं दे॒वासो॑ य॒ज्ञम॑त्नत । तमिद्व॑र्धन्तु नो॒ गिरः॑ स॒दावृ॑धम् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों ने त्रिकद्रुक नाम के यज्ञ में चैतन्य करने वाले इंद्र को यज्ञ के योग्य बनाया था. सदा बढ़ने वाले इंद्र को हमारी स्तुतियां बढ़ावें. (१८)
EN English Translation
The devas had made Indra, who had performed consciousness in the yagna named Trikadruk, eligible for the yajna. Increase our praises to the ever-growing Indra. (18)
स्तो॒ता यत्ते॒ अनु॑व्रत उ॒क्थान्यृ॑तु॒था द॒धे । शुचिः॑ पाव॒क उ॑च्यते॒ सो अद्भु॑तः ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारा स्तोता प्रत्येक ऋतु के अनुसार अनुकूल कर्म करता हुआ उक्थों को बोलता है. शुद्ध, पवित्र करने वाले एवं आश्चर्यजनक तुम स्तुति का विषय बनते हो. (१९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your stota speaks to the eagles by doing favorable deeds according to each season. Pure, sanctifying and amazing you become the subject of praise. (19)
तदिद्रु॒द्रस्य॑ चेतति य॒ह्वं प्र॒त्नेषु॒ धाम॑सु । मनो॒ यत्रा॒ वि तद्द॒धुर्विचे॑तसः ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे ही रुद्रपुत्र मरुत् अपने पुराने स्थानों में वर्तमान हैं, जिनकी स्तुति विशेष ज्ञान वाले स्तोता करते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
He is the one Rudraputra Marut present in his old places, praised by hymns with special knowledge. (20)
यदि॑ मे स॒ख्यमा॒वर॑ इ॒मस्य॑ पा॒ह्यन्ध॑सः । येन॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषो॒ अता॑रिम ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यदि तुम मुझे अपनी मित्रता दो एवं इस सोमरस को पिओ, मैं सभी शत्रुओं को हरा सकता हूं. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! If you give me your friendship and drink this someras, I can defeat all enemies. (21)
क॒दा त॑ इन्द्र गिर्वणः स्तो॒ता भ॑वाति॒ शंत॑मः । क॒दा नो॒ गव्ये॒ अश्व्ये॒ वसौ॑ दधः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतियां स्वीकार करने वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारा स्तोता कब अतिशय सुखी होगा? तुम हमें कब गायों एवं अश्चों वाले घर में रखोगे. (२२)
EN English Translation
O Indra who accepts praises! When will your hymn be very happy? When will you keep us in a house with cows and ashes? (22)
उ॒त ते॒ सुष्टु॑ता॒ हरी॒ वृष॑णा वहतो॒ रथ॑म् । अ॒जु॒र्यस्य॑ म॒दिन्त॑मं॒ यमीम॑हे ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जरारहित इंद्र! तुम्हारे भली प्रकार स्तुत एवं अभिलाषापूरक घोड़े तुम्हारे रथ को यहां लावें. हे अतिशय प्रसन्न इंद्र! हम तुमसे याचना करते हैं. (२३)
EN English Translation
O indra without a little! May your well-praised and wishing horses bring your chariot here. O very happy Indra! We beg you. (23)
तमी॑महे पुरुष्टु॒तं य॒ह्वं प्र॒त्नाभि॑रू॒तिभिः॑ । नि ब॒र्हिषि॑ प्रि॒ये स॑द॒दध॑ द्वि॒ता ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान् एवं बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत इंद्र से हम प्राचीन सोमाहुतियों द्वारा याचना करते हैं. वे प्रिय कुश पर बैठें एवं दो प्रकार का हव्य स्वीकार करें. (२४)
EN English Translation
We beseech indra, praised by the great and many, through the ancient Somahutis. They sit on the beloved Kush and accept two types of greetings. (24)
वर्ध॑स्वा॒ सु पु॑रुष्टुत॒ ऋषि॑ष्टुताभिरू॒तिभिः॑ । धु॒क्षस्व॑ पि॒प्युषी॒मिष॒मवा॑ च नः ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत इंद्र! तुम ऋषियों द्वारा प्रशंसित अपने रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमें बढ़ाओ एवं हमें उन्नतिशील अन्न दो. (२५)
EN English Translation
O Indra praised by many! You increase us by your means of defense praised by the sages and give us rich food. (25)
इन्द्र॒ त्वम॑वि॒तेद॑सी॒त्था स्तु॑व॒तो अ॑द्रिवः । ऋ॒तादि॑यर्मि ते॒ धियं॑ मनो॒युज॑म् ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारणकर्तता इंद्र! तुम सब प्रकार स्तोता की रक्षा करते हो. तुम्हारे सच्चे स्तोत्र के द्वारा मैं तुम्हारी दया प्राप्त करता हूं. (२६)
EN English Translation
O Vajradharankarata Indra! You protect all kinds of hymns. Through your true psalm, I receive your mercy. (26)
इ॒ह त्या स॑ध॒माद्या॑ युजा॒नः सोम॑पीतये । हरी॑ इन्द्र प्र॒तद्व॑सू अ॒भि स्व॑र ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम अपने प्रसिद्ध, सम्मिलित रूप से प्रसन्न एवं विस्तृत धन वाले घोड़ों को रथ में जोड़ कर इस यज्ञ में सोमरस पीने के लिए आओ. (२७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You add your famous, jointly happy and wide-rich horses to the chariot and come to drink the somras in this yajna. (27)
अ॒भि स्व॑रन्तु॒ ये तव॑ रु॒द्रासः॑ सक्षत॒ श्रिय॑म् । उ॒तो म॒रुत्व॑ती॒र्विशो॑ अ॒भि प्रयः॑ ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे अनुचर रुद्रपुत्र मरुद्गण इस आश्रययोग्य यज्ञ में प्राप्त हों एवं मरुतों से युक्त प्रजाएं भी हमारे हव्य को प्राप्त करें. (२८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May your attendant Rudraputra Marudgana be found in this shelterable yagna and may the people of the maruts also receive our havya. (28)
इ॒मा अ॑स्य॒ प्रतू॑र्तयः प॒दं जु॑षन्त॒ यद्दि॒वि । नाभा॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॒ सं द॑धु॒र्यथा॑ वि॒दे ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र की ये मरुत्रूपी प्रजाएं शत्रुओं का नाश करती हुई अपने आश्रयस्थल स्वर्गलोक की सेवा करती हैं एवं यज्ञ की नाभिरूपिणी उत्तरवेदी पर इस प्रकार स्थित रहती हैं कि हम धन पा सकें. (२९)
EN English Translation
These marutrupi subjects of Indra serve their shelter heaven while destroying the enemies and the navel of the yajna is located on the Uttarvedi in such a way that we can get wealth. (29)
अ॒यं दी॒र्घाय॒ चक्ष॑से॒ प्राचि॑ प्रय॒त्य॑ध्व॒रे । मिमी॑ते य॒ज्ञमा॑नु॒षग्वि॒चक्ष्य॑ ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र प्राचीन यज्ञशाला में यज्ञ आरंभ होने पर उसे पूर्वापररूप से देखकर इस प्रकार पूर्ण करते हैं, जिससे देखने योग्य फल मिल सके. (३०)
EN English Translation
Indra, when the yajna begins in the ancient yajnashala, sees it from the east and completes it in such a way that he can get the fruit worth seeing. (30)
