यो यजा॑ति॒ यजा॑त॒ इत्सु॒नव॑च्च॒ पचा॑ति च । ब्र॒ह्मेदिन्द्र॑स्य चाकनत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान यज्ञ करता है, देवों के लिए हव्य देता है, सोमरस निचोड़ता है एवं पुरोडाश पकाता है, वह इंद्र संबंधी मंत्रों को बार-बार बोलता है. (१)
EN English Translation
The host who performs yajna, gives a havya for the gods, squeezes the somras and cooks the purodash, speaks the mantras of Indra again and again. (1)
पु॒रो॒ळाशं॒ यो अ॑स्मै॒ सोमं॒ रर॑त आ॒शिर॑म् । पादित्तं श॒क्रो अंह॑सः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान इंद्र को पुरोडाश एवं गाय के दूध से मिला सोमरस देता है, उसे इंद्र पाप से बचाते हैं, यह निश्चित है. (२)
EN English Translation
The host who gives Indra a sorodash and somras mixed with cow's milk, it is certain that Indra saves him from sin. (2)
तस्य॑ द्यु॒माँ अ॑स॒द्रथो॑ दे॒वजू॑तः॒ स शू॑शुवत् । विश्वा॑ व॒न्वन्न॑मि॒त्रिया॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों की पूजा करने वाले यजमान के पास देवों द्वारा भेजा हुआ तेजस्वी रथ आता है. यजमान उस रथ द्वारा शत्रुओं की समस्त बाधाओं को नष्ट करता हुआ समृद्ध होता है. (३)
EN English Translation
The host who worships the gods comes to the magnificent chariot sent by the gods. The host prospers by destroying all the obstacles of the enemies by that chariot. (3)
अस्य॑ प्र॒जाव॑ती गृ॒हेऽस॑श्चन्ती दि॒वेदि॑वे । इळा॑ धेनु॒मती॑ दुहे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इस यजमान के घर में संतानयुक्त, कहीं न जाने वाला एवं गायों सहित अन्न प्रतिदिन प्राप्त किया जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
In this host's house, food containing children, non-going and including cows is obtained every day. (4)
या दम्प॑ती॒ सम॑नसा सुनु॒त आ च॒ धाव॑तः । देवा॑सो॒ नित्य॑या॒शिरा॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! जो पतिपत्नी समान विचार से सोमरस निचोड़ते हैं, उसे दशापवित्र द्वारा शुद्ध करते हैं एवं तीसरे सवन में उस में गोदुग्ध मिलाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! The husbands and wives who squeeze the somras with the same thought, purify it with dashapavittra and add godhudha to it in the third suvan. (5)
प्रति॑ प्राश॒व्या॑ँ इतः स॒म्यञ्चा॑ ब॒र्हिरा॑शाते । न ता वाजे॑षु वायतः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे भोजन के योग्य अन्न देवों से प्राप्त करते हैं, मिलकर यज्ञ के कुशों पर बैठते हैं एवं किसी के पास अन्न मांगने नहीं जाते. (६)
EN English Translation
They get food from the gods, sit together on the kushas of yajna and do not go to anyone to ask for food. (6)
न दे॒वाना॒मपि॑ ह्नुतः सुम॒तिं न जु॑गुक्षतः । श्रवो॑ बृ॒हद्वि॑वासतः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! वे पतिपत्नी देवों के प्रति बुरी बातें नहीं करते एवं तुम्हारे प्रति शोभन बुद्धि को समाप्त करना नहीं चाहते. वे अधिक अन्न द्वारा तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Oh Devas! They do not speak bad things towards the deities, husband and wife and do not want to end their intellect towards you. They serve you with more food. (7)
पु॒त्रिणा॒ ता कु॑मा॒रिणा॒ विश्व॒मायु॒र्व्य॑श्नुतः । उ॒भा हिर॑ण्यपेशसा ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे शिशुओं एवं कुमारों वाले पतिपत्नी सोने के गहनों से युक्त होकर पूर्ण आयु प्राप्त करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Those husbands and wives with babies and virgins attain full life by being adorned with gold ornaments. (8)
वी॒तिहो॑त्रा कृ॒तद्व॑सू दश॒स्यन्ता॒मृता॑य॒ कम् । समूधो॑ रोम॒शं ह॑तो दे॒वेषु॑ कृणुतो॒ दुवः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ को प्रेम करने वाले पतिपत्नी देवों को हव्य देते हुए उपयुक्त पात्रों को धनदान करते हैं एवं संतानवृद्धि के लिए पुरुष एवं नारी जननेंद्रियों का संयोग करते हैं. वे देवों की सेवा करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The husband and wife who love the yajna give money to the appropriate characters by giving a greeting to the devas and combine the male and female genitals for the sake of procreation. They serve the gods. (9)
आ शर्म॒ पर्व॑तानां वृणी॒महे॑ न॒दीना॑म् । आ विष्णोः॑ सचा॒भुवः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम पर्वतों के सुख, नदियों के सुख एवं समस्त देवों के साथ विष्णु के सुख की कामना करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
We wish for the happiness of the mountains, the happiness of the rivers and the happiness of Vishnu with all the gods. (10)
ऐतु॑ पू॒षा र॒यिर्भगः॑ स्व॒स्ति स॑र्व॒धात॑मः । उ॒रुरध्वा॑ स्व॒स्तये॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धन देने वाले, सबके सेवनीय व धनादि द्वारा सबका पोषण करने वाले पूषा रक्षासाधनों के साथ आवें. पूषा के आने पर विस्तृत मार्ग हमारे लिए सुखकर हो. (११)
EN English Translation
The pushas that give wealth, are all consumable and the ones who nourish all through money should come with the means of protection. May the wide path be pleasant for us when The Pusha comes. (11)
अ॒रम॑तिरन॒र्वणो॒ विश्वो॑ दे॒वस्य॒ मन॑सा । आ॒दि॒त्याना॑मने॒ह इत् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शत्रुओं द्वारा पराजित न होने वाले पूषादेव के सब स्तोता पर्याप्त श्रद्धा से युक्त होते हैं. आदित्यों का दान पापरहित ही होता है. (१२)
EN English Translation
All the hymns of Pushadeva, who are not defeated by the enemies, are full of sufficient reverence. The donation of the Adityas is sinless. (12)
यथा॑ नो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा वरु॑णः॒ सन्ति॑ गो॒पाः । सु॒गा ऋ॒तस्य॒ पन्थाः॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार मित्र, अर्यमा एवं वरुण हमारे रक्षक हैं, उसी प्रकार हमारे यज्ञ मार्ग सुगम हों. (१३)
EN English Translation
Just as friends, Aryama and Varuna are our protectors, so may our path of sacrifice be easier. (13)
अ॒ग्निं वः॑ पू॒र्व्यं गि॒रा दे॒वमी॑ळे॒ वसू॑नाम् । स॒प॒र्यन्तः॑ पुरुप्रि॒यं मि॒त्रं न क्षे॑त्र॒साध॑सम् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! मैं तुम्हारे अग्रवर्ती अग्नि देव की स्तुति धनप्राप्ति के लिए करता हूं. तुम्हारे सबसे श्रेष्ठ आशीष बहुतों के प्रिय मित्र के समान क्षेत्रसाधक होते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! I praise your forerunner Agni Dev for the sake of wealth. Your greatest blessings are the same field bearers as the dear friend of many. (14)
म॒क्षू दे॒वव॑तो॒ रथः॒ शूरो॑ वा पृ॒त्सु कासु॑ चित् । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शूर का रथ जिस प्रकार सेनाओं में प्रवेश करता है, उसी प्रकार देवों के भक्त का रथ शीघ्र दुर्गम मार्ग में जाता है. देवों की मनचाही पूजा करने वाला यजमान यज्ञ न करने वाले को हरा देता है. (१५)
EN English Translation
Just as the chariot of the shur enters the armies, the chariot of the devotee of the gods quickly goes into the inaccessible path. The host who worships the gods in his will defeats the one who does not perform the yajna. (15)
न य॑जमान रिष्यसि॒ न सु॑न्वान॒ न दे॑वयो । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमान, सोमरस, निचोड़ने वाले एवं देवकामी व्यक्ति! तुम नष्ट नहीं होगे. जो यजमान देवों की मनपसंद पूजा करना चाहता है, वह यज्ञ न करने वाले को हरा देता है. (१६)
EN English Translation
O host, somers, squeezers and gods! You will not be destroyed. The host who wants to worship the gods in his favour defeats the one who does not perform the yajna. (16)
नकि॒ष्टं कर्म॑णा नश॒न्न प्र यो॑ष॒न्न यो॑षति । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो यजमान देवों का मनचाहा यज्ञ करना चाहता है उसे अपने कर्म द्वारा कोई वश में नहीं कर सकता, उसे कोई स्थान से हटा नहीं सकता तथा वह पुत्रादि द्वारा रहित नहीं होता. देवों की मनचाही पूजा का अभिलाषी यज्ञ न करने वाले को हराता है. (१७)
EN English Translation
The host who wants to perform the desired yajna of the gods cannot be subdued by his karma, no one can remove him from a place and is not devoid of sonhood. The desire to worship the gods defeats the one who does not perform the yajna. (17)
अस॒दत्र॑ सु॒वीर्य॑मु॒त त्यदा॒श्वश्व्य॑म् । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों का मनचाहा यज्ञ करने का इच्छुक यजमान शोभन वीर्यवाला पुत्र पाता है एवं अश्वयुक्त धन प्राप्त करता है. जो यजमान देवों की मनचाही पूजा करता है, वह यज्ञ न करने वाले को हरा देता है. (१८)
EN English Translation
The host shobhan, who wants to perform the desired yajna of the devas, finds a son with semen and receives the money with horse-fitting. The host who worships the gods in his will defeats the one who does not perform the yajna. (18)
