हि॒न्वन्ति॒ सूर॒मुस्र॑यः॒ स्वसा॑रो जा॒मय॒स्पति॑म् । म॒हामिन्दुं॑ मही॒युवः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! कार्यकुशल एवं परस्पर मित्रता रखने वाली मेरी उंगलियां रूपी स्त्रियां तुम्हारा रस निचोड़ने की अभिलाषा से तुम्हारे क्षरण को प्रेरित करती हैं. तुम शोभन-वीर्य वाले, सबके पालनकर्ता, महान् एवं दीप्तिशाली हो. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Women like my fingers, who are efficient and friendly, inspire your erosion by the desire to squeeze your juice. You are a man of adornment, a man of adornment, a nurturer of all, a great and a radiant. (1)
पव॑मान रु॒चारु॑चा दे॒वो दे॒वेभ्य॒स्परि॑ । विश्वा॒ वसू॒न्या वि॑श ॥ (२)

हे दशापवित्र से छनते हुए सोम! तुम अपने संपूर्ण तेज के द्वारा दीप्त होकर देवों के पास से सब धन हमें दो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon, filtering from Dashapavittra! You are illuminated by your entire glory and give us all the wealth from the gods. (2)
आ प॑वमान सुष्टु॒तिं वृ॒ष्टिं दे॒वेभ्यो॒ दुवः॑ । इ॒षे प॑वस्व सं॒यत॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुम देवों की शोभा के लिए शोभन स्तुति वाली वर्षा करो एवं अन्न के लिए हमारे पास वर्षा को भेजो. (३)
EN English Translation
O you are pure, Mon! You should rain with praise for the glory of the gods and send it to us for food. (3)
वृषा॒ ह्यसि॑ भा॒नुना॑ द्यु॒मन्तं॑ त्वा हवामहे । पव॑मान स्वा॒ध्यः॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम अभिमत फल देने वाले हो. हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! हम शोभन कर्म वाले लोग तेजोदीप्त तुमको अपने यज्ञो में बुलाते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are going to give opinion fruit. O Soma, being purified! We, the people of shobhan karma, invite you in our sacrifices. (4)
आ प॑वस्व सु॒वीर्यं॒ मन्द॑मानः स्वायुध । इ॒हो ष्वि॑न्द॒वा ग॑हि ॥ (५)

हे शोभन-आयुधों वाले सोम! तुम देवों को प्रसन्न करते हुए हमें शोभन वीर्य वाला पुत्र दो एवं इस यज्ञ में आओ. (५)
EN English Translation
O Shobhan-armed Mon! You please the gods, give us a son with a good semen and come to this yagna. (5)
यद॒द्भिः प॑रिषि॒च्यसे॑ मृ॒ज्यमा॑नो॒ गभ॑स्त्योः । द्रुणा॑ स॒धस्थ॑मश्नुषे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम दोनों हाथों से मसले एवं जल से भिगोए जाते हो. तुम द्रोणपात्र में ठहरकर चमस आदि पात्रों में भरे जाते हो. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You are soaked with mashed and water with both hands. You stay in the dronapatra and are filled in spoons, etc. containers. (6)
प्र सोमा॑य व्यश्व॒वत्पव॑मानाय गायत । म॒हे स॒हस्र॑चक्षसे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! तुम दशापवित्र से छनते हुए महान् एवं हजारों स्तुतियों वाले सोम की प्रशंसा में व्यश्च ऋषि के समान गीत गाओ. (७)
EN English Translation
This stotao! You sing songs like a sage in praise of the great and thousands of praises of The Great and Thousands of Praises, while filtering from dasapapvittra. (7)
यस्य॒ वर्णं॑ मधु॒श्चुतं॒ हरिं॑ हि॒न्वन्त्यद्रि॑भिः । इन्दु॒मिन्द्रा॑य पी॒तये॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युगण! तुम शत्रुओं को रोकने वाले, रस टपकाने वाले, हरे रंग से युक्त एवं दीप्तिशाली सोम को इंद्र के पीने के निमित्त पत्थरों की सहायता से निचोड़ो. (८)
EN English Translation
O teacher! You squeeze the evil-stopper, the juice-dripping, the green-coloured and the radiant Som with the help of stones for Indra's drinking. (8)
तस्य॑ ते वा॒जिनो॑ व॒यं विश्वा॒ धना॑नि जि॒ग्युषः॑ । स॒खि॒त्वमा वृ॑णीमहे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम शक्तिशाली एवं शत्रुओं का धन जीतने वाले हो. हम तुम्हारी मित्रता का वरण करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You are the powerful and the winner of the enemy's wealth. We choose your friendship. (9)
वृषा॑ पवस्व॒ धार॑या म॒रुत्व॑ते च मत्स॒रः । विश्वा॒ दधा॑न॒ ओज॑सा ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक सोम! तुम धारा के रूप में द्रोणफलश तक आओ एवं इंद्र के लिए प्रसन्नतादायक बनो. तुम अपनी शक्ति से सभी धन स्तोताओं को देते हो. (१०)
EN English Translation
He is a wishy Mon! You come up to Dronaphalash as a stream and be pleasing to Indra. You give all the money by your power to the psalms. (10)
तं त्वा॑ ध॒र्तार॑मो॒ण्यो॒३॒ः॑ पव॑मान स्व॒र्दृश॑म् । हि॒न्वे वाजे॑षु वा॒जिन॑म् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे छनते हुए सोम! तुम द्यावा-पृथिवी के धारणकर्तता, सबके द्रष्टा व शक्तिशाली हो. मैं तुम्ह युद्धों में भेजता हूं. (११)
EN English Translation
That's it, Mon! You are the visionary of the earth, the seer and the mighty of all. I'll send you to the wars. (11)
अ॒या चि॒त्तो वि॒पानया॒ हरिः॑ पवस्व॒ धार॑या । युजं॒ वाजे॑षु चोदय ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मेरी उंगलियों से निचुड़े हुए एवं हरे रंग वाले सोम! तुम द्रोणकलश में जाओ एवं अपने मित्र इंद्र को संग्रामों में भेजो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O my fingers and green, Mon! You go to Dronakalash and send your friend Indra to the sangrams. (12)
आ न॑ इन्दो म॒हीमिषं॒ पव॑स्व वि॒श्वद॑र्शतः । अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ सोम गातु॒वित् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्ंद्रष्टा एवं दीप्तिशाली सोम! तुम हमें बहुत सा अन्न दो. हे सोम! हमारे लिए स्वर्ग का मार्ग बताओ. (१३)
EN English Translation
O radiant and radiant som! You give us a lot of grain. Hey Mon! Tell us the way to heaven. (13)
आ क॒लशा॑ अनूष॒तेन्दो॒ धारा॑भि॒रोज॑सा । एन्द्र॑स्य पी॒तये॑ विश ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे टपकने वाले सोम! तुझ ओजस्वी की निरंतर धाराओं से युक्त द्रोणकलश की स्तोता स्तुति करते हैं. तुम इंद्र के पीने के लिए द्रोणकलश में प्रवेश करो. (१४)
EN English Translation
O dripping Mon! The hymns of Dronakalash, containing the constant streams of you ojasvi, praise you. You enter the Dronakalash to drink indra. (14)
यस्य॑ ते॒ मद्यं॒ रसं॑ ती॒व्रं दु॒हन्त्यद्रि॑भिः । स प॑वस्वाभिमाति॒हा ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम्हारे जल्दी नशा करने वाले जिस रस को अध्वर्यु पत्थरों की सहायता से दुहते हैं, तुम शत्रुओं का हनन करते हुए उसी रस को बरसाओ. (१५)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! The juice that your quick drunkards milk with the help of stones, you rain the same juice, violating the enemies. (15)
राजा॑ मे॒धाभि॑रीयते॒ पव॑मानो म॒नावधि॑ । अ॒न्तरि॑क्षेण॒ यात॑वे ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस समय मनुष्य यज्ञ करते हैं, उस समय राजा सोम अंतरिक्ष मार्ग से द्रोणकलश में जाते हुए प्रशंसित होते हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
At the time when human beings perform yajna, King Som is acclaimed while going to Dronakalash by the space route. (16)
आ न॑ इन्दो शत॒ग्विनं॒ गवां॒ पोषं॒ स्वश्व्य॑म् । वहा॒ भग॑त्तिमू॒तये॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली सोम! तुम सौ गायों वाला, गायों को पुष्ट करने वाला व शोभन अश्चों से युक्त धन हमारी रक्षा के लिए दो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O radiant Mon! You have a hundred cows, give us money that nourishes cows and contains riches of adornment. (17)
आ नः॑ सोम॒ सहो॒ जुवो॑ रू॒पं न वर्च॑से भर । सु॒ष्वा॒णो दे॒ववी॑तये ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवों की प्रसन्नता के लिए निचुड़ते हुए सोम! हमें सर्वत्र गमनयोग्य बल एवं सर्वत्र प्रकाश के नए रूप दो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Som, for the pleasure of the gods! Give us a new form of force and light everywhere. (18)
अर्षा॑ सोम द्यु॒मत्त॑मो॒ऽभि द्रोणा॑नि॒ रोरु॑वत् । सीद॑ञ्छ्ये॒नो न योनि॒मा ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! जिस प्रकार बाज पक्षी शब्द करता हुआ अपने घोंसले में आता है, उसी प्रकार बुम दीप्तिशाली बनकर द्रोणकलश में जाते हो. (१९)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Just as the hawk bird comes into its nest with the word saying, so you go to the dronakalash by becoming bright. (19)
अ॒प्सा इन्द्रा॑य वा॒यवे॒ वरु॑णाय म॒रुद्भ्यः॑ । सोमो॑ अर्षति॒ विष्ण॑वे ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जल में मिलने वाले सोम इंद्र, वायु, वरुण, विष्णु एवं मरुदगणों के लिए बहते हैं. (२०)

The somas found in the water flow to Indra, Vayu, Varuna, Vishnu and the Deserts. (20)
इषं॑ तो॒काय॑ नो॒ दध॑द॒स्मभ्यं॑ सोम वि॒श्वतः॑ । आ प॑वस्व सह॒स्रिण॑म् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हमारे पुत्र के लिए अन्न देते हुए हमारे लिए सब ओर से हजारों तरह का धन बरसाओ. (२१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You give food for our son and send us thousands of riches from all sides. (21)
ये सोमा॑सः परा॒वति॒ ये अ॑र्वा॒वति॑ सुन्वि॒रे । ये वा॒दः श॑र्य॒णाव॑ति ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के निमित्त दूरवर्ती अथवा परवर्ती स्थान में तथा शर्यणावत नामक तालाब में निचुड़ने वाले सोम हमें अभिमत फल दें. (२२)
EN English Translation
May the Som, who is lying in a distant or a distant place for Indra's sake and in a pond called Sharyanavata, give us the fruits of the opinion. (22)
य आ॑र्जी॒केषु॒ कृत्व॑सु॒ ये मध्ये॑ प॒स्त्या॑नाम् । ये वा॒ जने॑षु प॒ञ्चसु॑ ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आर्जीक एवं कृत्व नामक देशों में निचुड़ने वाले तथा सरस्वती और पांच नदियों के समीप निचुड़ने वाले सोम हमें अभिमत फल दें. (२३)
EN English Translation
May the Som, who lays in the countries of Aarjeek and Kritva, and who is settling near the Saraswati and the five rivers, give us the fruits of the verdict. (23)
ते नो॑ वृ॒ष्टिं दि॒वस्परि॒ पव॑न्ता॒मा सु॒वीर्य॑म् । सु॒वा॒ना दे॒वास॒ इन्द॑वः ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे निचोड़े गए, दीप्तिशाली एवं चमस आदि पात्रों में टपकते हुए सोम हमें आकाश से होने वाली वर्षा एवं शोभन बलयुक्त पुत्र दें. (२४)
EN English Translation
They are squeezed, glistened and dripping in the chamas, and so on, give us a son with the rain and the adornment force from the sky. (24)
पव॑ते हर्य॒तो हरि॑र्गृणा॒नो ज॒मद॑ग्निना । हि॒न्वा॒नो गोरधि॑ त्व॒चि ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों की अभिलाषा करते हुए, हरितवर्ण, गाय के चमड़े पर रखे हुए एवं जमदग्नि ऋषि द्वारा स्तुत सोम दशापवित्र के द्वारा शुद्ध होते हैं. (२५)
EN English Translation
While wishing for the gods, the green varnas are purified by the som dashapavittra placed on the skin of the cow and placed by the sage Jamadagni. (25)
प्र शु॒क्रासो॑ वयो॒जुवो॑ हिन्वा॒नासो॒ न सप्त॑यः । श्री॒णा॒ना अ॒प्सु मृ॑ञ्जत ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विजों द्वारा दीप्तिशाली, अन्न देते हुए एवं गाय के दूध से मिश्रित सोम जल में इस प्रकार मसले जाते हैं, जैसे घोड़े को स्नान कराया जाता है. (२६)
EN English Translation
The ritwijas are immersed in som water by giving them bright, giving food and mixed with cow's milk in such a way as a horse is bathed. (26)
तं त्वा॑ सु॒तेष्वा॒भुवो॑ हिन्वि॒रे दे॒वता॑तये । स प॑वस्वा॒नया॑ रु॒चा ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! यज्ञ में ऋत्विज् तुम्हें पत्थरों की सहायता से इंद्रादि देवों के लिए निचोड़ते हैं. तुम दीप्ति वाली धारा के साथ द्रीणकलश में गिरो. (२७)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! In the yajna, the ritvijs squeeze you to the Indradi devas with the help of stones. You fall into the drinkalash with a glistening stream. (27)
आ ते॒ दक्षं॑ मयो॒भुवं॒ वह्नि॑म॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे । पान्त॒मा पु॑रु॒स्पृह॑म् ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हम स्तोता आज तुम्हारे सुखदाता, धनादि के वहन करने वाले, शत्रुओं से रक्षा करने वाले एवं बहुतों द्वारा अभिलषित बल को वरण करते हैं. (२८)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Today, we choose your comforter, the bearer of wealth, the protector from enemies and the force desired by many. (28)
आ म॒न्द्रमा वरे॑ण्य॒मा विप्र॒मा म॑नी॒षिण॑म् । पान्त॒मा पु॑रु॒स्पृह॑म् ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मदकारक व सबके द्वारा वरण करने योग्य सोम! बुद्धिमान्, मनीषी, सबके रक्षक तथा बहुतों द्वारा अभिलाषा के योग्य तुमको हम वरण करते है. (२९)
EN English Translation
O you are a madman and a mon worth choosing by all! We choose you to be wise, mind-conscious, all protectors, and worthy of the desire of many. (29)
आ र॒यिमा सु॑चे॒तुन॒मा सु॑क्रतो त॒नूष्वा । पान्त॒मा पु॑रु॒स्पृह॑म् ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन-कर्म वाले सोम! हम तुम्हारे धन का वरण करते हैं. तुम हमारे पुत्रों को धन दो. हे सबके रक्षक एवं बहुतों द्वारा अभिलषित सोम! हम तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. (३०)
EN English Translation
O sobhan-karma wale mon! We choose your wealth. Give money to our sons. O protector of all and admired by many, Mon! We serve you. (30)
