इन्द्रा॑य सोम॒ सुषु॑तः॒ परि॑ स्र॒वापामी॑वा भवतु॒ रक्ष॑सा स॒ह । मा ते॒ रस॑स्य मत्सत द्वया॒विनो॒ द्रवि॑णस्वन्त इ॒ह स॒न्त्विन्द॑वः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम भली प्रकार निचुड़कर इंद्र के लिए सब ओर जाओ. राक्षसों के साथ-साथ हमारे रोग भी दूर हों. पापी लोग तुम्हारा रस पीकर प्रमुदित न हों. इस यज्ञ में तुम्हारे रस धनयुक्त हों. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You go all the way to Indra by relaxing well. Along with the demons, let our diseases also go away. Let the sinners not be happy to drink your juice. May your juices be rich in this yajna. (1)
अ॒स्मान्स॑म॒र्ये प॑वमान चोदय॒ दक्षो॑ दे॒वाना॒मसि॒ हि प्रि॒यो मदः॑ । ज॒हि शत्रू॑ँर॒भ्या भ॑न्दनाय॒तः पिबे॑न्द्र॒ सोम॒मव॑ नो॒ मृधो॑ जहि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पवमान सोम! हमें संग्राम की ओर भेजो. तुम देवों में दक्ष, प्रिय एवं मदकारक हो. हम तुम्हारी स्तुति के इच्छुक हैं. तुम हमारे शत्रुओं को मारो एवं हमारे पास आओ. हे इंद्र! तुम सोमरस पिओ और हमारे शत्रुओं को मारो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Pawman Mon! Send us to Sangram. You are skilled, beloved and possessive of gods. We are willing to praise you. Kill our enemies and come to us. O Indra! You drink the somras and kill our enemies. (2)
अद॑ब्ध इन्दो पवसे म॒दिन्त॑म आ॒त्मेन्द्र॑स्य भवसि धा॒सिरु॑त्त॒मः । अ॒भि स्व॑रन्ति ब॒हवो॑ मनी॒षिणो॒ राजा॑नम॒स्य भुव॑नस्य निंसते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अहिंसित एवं अत्यंत नशीले सोम! तुम शुद्ध होते हो. तुम स्वयं ही उत्तम होकर इंद्र के भक्ष्य बनते हो. बहुत से स्तोता इस संसार के राजा सोम की स्तुति करते हैं एवं उसके समीप जाते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O non-violent and extremely intoxicating Mon! You are pure. You yourself become the eater of Indra by being the best. Many stotas praise the king of this world, Soma, and go near him. (3)
स॒हस्र॑णीथः श॒तधा॑रो॒ अद्भु॑त॒ इन्द्रा॒येन्दुः॑ पवते॒ काम्यं॒ मधु॑ । जय॒न्क्षेत्र॑म॒भ्य॑र्षा॒ जय॑न्न॒प उ॒रुं नो॑ गा॒तुं कृ॑णु सोम मीढ्वः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अनेक प्रकार की आंखों वाले, असीमित धाराओं से युक्त एवं अदभुत सोम इंद्र के लिए मनचाहा मधुर रस टपकाते हैं. हे सोम! तुम हमारे लिए खेत और जल को जीतकर दशापवित्र की ओर आओ एवं जल बरसाने वाले बनकर हमारा मार्ग चौड़ा करो. (४)
EN English Translation
With a variety of eyes, unlimited streams and amazing som drips the sweet juices they want for Indra. Hey Mon! You must conquer the field and the water for us, and come to dashapavittra, and widen our way as the rainers. (4)
कनि॑क्रदत्क॒लशे॒ गोभि॑रज्यसे॒ व्य१॒॑व्ययं॑ स॒मया॒ वार॑मर्षसि । म॒र्मृ॒ज्यमा॑नो॒ अत्यो॒ न सा॑न॒सिरिन्द्र॑स्य सोम ज॒ठरे॒ सम॑क्षरः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शब्द करते हुए एवं द्रोणकलश में स्थित सोम! तुम गायों के दूध-दही में मिलाए जाते हो एवं भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र के पास जाते हो. मसले जाते हुए तुम घोड़े के समान सेवा करने योग्य हो. तुम इंद्र के पेट में टपको. (५)
EN English Translation
O the word and som located in Dronakalash! You are added to the milk and curd of cows and go to dashapavitra made of sheep's hair. You are qualified to serve like a horse. You spill into Indra's stomach. (5)
स्वा॒दुः प॑वस्व दि॒व्याय॒ जन्म॑ने स्वा॒दुरिन्द्रा॑य सु॒हवी॑तुनाम्ने । स्वा॒दुर्मि॒त्राय॒ वरु॑णाय वा॒यवे॒ बृह॒स्पत॑ये॒ मधु॑मा॒ँ अदा॑भ्यः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वादयुक्त सोम! तुम दिव्य जन्म वाले देवों एवं शोभन नाम वाले इंद्र के लिए रस टपकाओ. तुम मधुर रस वाले एवं दूसरों द्वारा अपराजेय हो. तुम मित्र, वरुण, वायु और बृहस्पति के लिए रस बरसाओ. (६)
EN English Translation
O savoured Mon! You pour out juice for the gods of divine birth and Indra named Shobhan. You are with sweet juices and unbeatable by others. Shower juices for you friend, Varuna, Vayu and Jupiter. (6)
अत्यं॑ मृजन्ति क॒लशे॒ दश॒ क्षिपः॒ प्र विप्रा॑णां म॒तयो॒ वाच॑ ईरते । पव॑माना अ॒भ्य॑र्षन्ति सुष्टु॒तिमेन्द्रं॑ विशन्ति मदि॒रास॒ इन्द॑वः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अध्वर्यु लोगों की दस उंगलियां घोड़े के समान गतिशील सोम को कलश में मसलती हैं. ब्राह्मणों के बीच बैठे स्तोता स्तुतियां बोलते हैं. शुद्ध होते हुए सोम जाते हैं. नशीले सोम इंद्र के उदर में प्रवेश करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
The ten fingers of the Adhwaryu people straddle the horse-like moving som in the kalash. The stothas sitting among the Brahmins speak praises. Go to Mon while being pure. The intoxicating mon enters indra's abdomen. (7)
पव॑मानो अ॒भ्य॑र्षा सु॒वीर्य॑मु॒र्वीं गव्यू॑तिं॒ महि॒ शर्म॑ स॒प्रथः॑ । माकि॑र्नो अ॒स्य परि॑षूतिरीश॒तेन्दो॒ जये॑म॒ त्वया॒ धनं॑धनम् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम शुद्ध होते हुए हमें शोभन शक्ति, दो कोस धरती और विशाल घर दो. तुम हमारे यज्ञकर्म से द्वेष करने वालों को हमारा स्वामी मत बनाओ. हम तुम्हारी कृपा से बहुत धन जीतें. (८)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You are cleansing and give us the power of adornment, two curses of earth and a huge house. Don't make those who hate our yajnakarma our masters. Let us win a lot of money by your grace. (8)
अधि॒ द्याम॑स्थाद्वृष॒भो वि॑चक्ष॒णोऽरू॑रुच॒द्वि दि॒वो रो॑च॒ना क॒विः । राजा॑ प॒वित्र॒मत्ये॑ति॒ रोरु॑वद्दि॒वः पी॒यूषं॑ दुहते नृ॒चक्ष॑सः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बरसने वाले एवं विशेषद्रष्टा सोम झुलोक में स्थित थे. सोम ने द्युलोक में तारों को चमकाया. कवि एवं राजा सोम दशापवित्र को लांघकर जाते हैं. मनुष्यों को देखने वाले सोम शब्द करते हुए स्वर्ग के अमृत को दुहते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The showerers and the specialist som were located in Jhuloka. Som flashed the strings in Dulok. The poet and king Som goes to the dashapavittra. Those who see humans milk the elixir of heaven while doing the word Som. (9)
दि॒वो नाके॒ मधु॑जिह्वा अस॒श्चतो॑ वे॒ना दु॑हन्त्यु॒क्षणं॑ गिरि॒ष्ठाम् । अ॒प्सु द्र॒प्सं वा॑वृधा॒नं स॑मु॒द्र आ सिन्धो॑रू॒र्मा मधु॑मन्तं प॒वित्र॒ आ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मधुर वचन बोलने वाले वेनगोत्रीय ऋषि यज्ञ के हविर्धान नामक स्थान में अलग-अलग सोमरस निचोड़ते हैं एवं ऊंचे स्थान में स्थित जल बरसाने वाले, जल में बढ़ने वाले एवं रसरूप सोम को सागर के समान विशाल द्रोणकलश में जल की लहरों से सींचते हैं. वे मीठे रस वाले सोम को दशापवित्र में निचोड़ते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
The Vengotriya sages who speak sweet words squeeze different somras in a place called The Havandhaan of yajna and water-pouring, rising in water and watering the rasarup som in the ocean-like giant dronakalash with waves of water. They squeeze the sweet-juiced mon into the dashapavitra. (10)
नाके॑ सुप॒र्णमु॑पपप्ति॒वांसं॒ गिरो॑ वे॒नाना॑मकृपन्त पू॒र्वीः । शिशुं॑ रिहन्ति म॒तयः॒ पनि॑प्नतं हिर॒ण्ययं॑ शकु॒नं क्षाम॑णि॒ स्थाम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
द्युलोक में उत्पन्न, शोभन पत्तों वाले एवं गिरने वाले सोम की प्रशंसा हमारी स्तुतियां करती हैं. रोते हुए शिशु के समान शुद्ध करने योग्य, स्वर्णमय, पंखों से युक्त एवं धरती पर स्थित सोम को हमारी स्तुतियां प्राप्त करती हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
Our praises praise the soothing, the soothing and falling Mon born in dulok. Like a crying baby, the pure, golden, winged and earthly soma receives our praises. (11)
ऊ॒र्ध्वो ग॑न्ध॒र्वो अधि॒ नाके॑ अस्था॒द्विश्वा॑ रू॒पा प्र॑ति॒चक्षा॑णो अस्य । भा॒नुः शु॒क्रेण॑ शो॒चिषा॒ व्य॑द्यौ॒त्प्रारू॑रुच॒द्रोद॑सी मा॒तरा॒ शुचिः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उन्नत एवं किरणें धारण करने वाले सोम आदित्य के मध्य स्थित होते हैं एवं इस आदित्य के सभी रूपों को देखते हैं. सूर्य में स्थित सोम दीप्त तेज के द्वारा प्रकाशित होते हैं. दीप्ति वाले सूर्य विश्व का निर्माण करने वाली द्यावा-पृथिवी को प्रकाशित करते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
The advanced and the rays-holding Som are located in the middle of Aditya and see all the forms of this Aditya. Mons located in the sun are illuminated by the bright radiance. The bright sun illuminates the dyava-earth that creates the world. (12)
