अध्वर्यो अद्रिभिः सुतँ सोमं पवित्र आ नय । पुनाहीन्द्राय पातवे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पुरोहितो! सोमरस पवित्र है. पाषाणों से कूट कर इस का रस निकाला गया है. उस को छन्ने में छान कर परिष्कृत किया गया है ताकि इंद्र उसे पी सकें. (१)
EN English Translation
O priests! Somerus is holy. Its juice has been extracted by crushing it with stones. It has been filtered and refined in the filter so that Indra can drink it. (1)
तव त्य इन्दो अन्धसो देवा मधोर्व्याशत । पवमानस्य मरुतः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप पवित्र व मधुमय हैं. इंद्र और मरुद्गण आप के इस सोमरस को पीते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are pure and sweet. Indra and Marudgana drink this someras of yours. (2)
दिवः पीयूषमुत्तमँ सोममिन्द्राय वज्रिणे । सुनोता मधुमत्तमम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! सोमरस स्वर्गलोक का अमृत और सर्वश्रेष्ठ है. वज्रधारी इंद्र उस का पान करते हैं. अतः उन के लिए उस को परिष्कृत कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Someras is the elixir and best of paradise. Vajradhari Indra drinks it. So refine it for them. (3)
धर्त्ता दिवः पवते कृत्व्यो रसो दक्षो देवानामनुमाद्यो नृभिः । हरिः सृजानो अत्यो न सत्वभिर्वृथा पाजाँसि कृणुषे नदीष्वा ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस मधुर और देवताओं का बल बढ़ाने वाला है, यजमान इस की प्रशंसा करते हैं. अंतरिक्ष में शुद्ध होता हुआ यह हरा सोमरस वेगवान घोड़ों की तरह धारा के रूप में अपनी सामर्थ्य प्रकट करता है. (४)
EN English Translation
Someras is sweet and increases the strength of the gods, the host praises it. Purifying in space, this green somerus shows its strength in the form of a stream like fast horses. (4)
शूरो न धत्त आयुधा गभस्त्योः स्वा३ः सिषासन्रथिरो गविष्टिषु । इन्द्रस्य शुष्ममीरयन्नपस्युभिरिन्दुर्हिन्वानो अज्यते मनीषिभिः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम हाथों में शस्त्र धारण करते हैं और वीरों की भांति रथारूढ़ हैं. वे गोरक्षक, वीरों व इंद्र के बलवर्धक, यजमान के प्रेरक और दिव्य हैं. सोमरस को गोदुग्ध में मिलाया जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
Soma holds arms in his hands and is like heroes. He is a cow protector, a strongman of heroes and Indra, an inspiration of the host and a divine. Someras is mixed in cow milk. (5)
इन्द्रस्य सोम पवमान ऊर्मिणा तविष्यमाणो जठरेष्वा विश । प्र नः पिन्व विद्युदभ्रेव रोदसी धिया नो वाजाँ उप माहि शश्वतः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप पवित्र व लहरदार हैं. आप और अधिक क्षमताशाली बन कर इंद्र के पेट में प्रवेश करने की कृपा कीजिए. बिजली जैसे बादलों को बरसात के लिए प्रेरित करती है, उसी तरह आप पृथ्वीलोक पर धन बरसाइए. आप हमें बुद्धिमान, धनवान व अन्नरवान बनाइए. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are pure and wavy. Please become more capable and enter Indra's stomach. Just as lightning drives clouds to rain, in the same way you shower wealth on earth. You make us wise, rich and prosperous. (6)
यदिन्द्र प्रागपागुदङ्न्यग्वा हूयसे नृभिः । सिमा पुरू नृषूतो अस्यानवेऽसि प्रशर्ध तुर्वशे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मनुष्यों द्वारा आप को सब ओर आमंत्रित किया जाता है. हम पुरु और तुर्वश के नाश के लिए आप की उपासना करते रहे हैं. आप (हमारे सभी) शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने की कृपा कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are invited everywhere by humans. We have been worshiping you for the destruction of Puru and Turvasha. Please destroy you (all our) enemies. (7)
यद्वा रुमे रुशमे श्यावके कृप इन्द्र मादयसे सचा । कण्वासस्त्वा स्तोमेभिर्ब्रह्मवाहस इन्द्रा यच्छन्त्या गहि ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप रुम (इंद्र का विशेष कृपा पात्र), रुशम (इंद्र का सहयोगी), श्यावक (एक ऋषि) और कृप (इंद्र का विशेष कृपा पात्र) पर कृपालु हैं. कण्व (एक याज्ञिक) आप की विभिन्न स्तोत्रों से स्तुति करते हैं. आप (यजमान के अनुरोध पर) यज्ञ में पधारने की कृपा कीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are gracious to Rum (Indra's special grace vessel), Rusham (Indra's associate), Shyvak (a sage) and Krip (Indra's special grace vessel). Kanva (a yajnik) praises you with various hymns. Please come to the yagna (on the request of the host). (8)
उभयँ शृणवच्च न इन्द्रो अर्वागिदं वचः । सत्राच्या मघवान्त्सोमपीतये धिया शविष्ठ आ गमत् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप हमारे यज्ञ में पधार कर हमारी दोनों प्रकार की वाणियों को सुनने की कृपा कीजिए. आप बलिष्ठ व संपन्न हैं. आप हमारी उपासना से प्रसन्न होइए. आप सोमपान करने के लिए हमारे यज्ञ में पधारिए. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Please come to our yajna and listen to both our kinds of speeches. You are strong and prosperous. Please be pleased with our worship. You come to our yagna to do sompan. (9)
तँ हि स्वराजं वृषभं तमोजसा धिषणे निष्टतक्षतुः । उतोपमानां प्रथमो नि षीदसि सोमकामँ हि ते मनः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आकाश और पृथ्वी समर्थ व तेजोमय इंद्र को अपनी सामर्थ्य से प्रकट करते हैं. इंद्र अनुपम हैं. (सभी उपमानों में सर्वोत्तम हैं). हे इंद्र! आप सोम (पान की) की कामना से यज्ञवेदी पर अधिष्ठित होने की कृपा कीजिए. (१०)
EN English Translation
The sky and the earth manifest the capable and radiant Indra with their power. Indra is unique. (Are the best of all byvalues). O Indra! Please be installed on the Yajnavedi with the wish of Soma (paan). (10)
