श्रायन्त इव सूर्यं विश्वेदिन्द्रस्य भक्षत । वसूनि जातो जनिमान्योजसा प्रति भागं न दीधिमः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! इंद्र उसी तरह प्रचुर वैभव को बांटते हैं, जैसे सूर्य किरणों को (अपने में) बांटते हैं. हम उन की कृपा से वैसे ही धन पाते हैं, जैसे पिता की कृपा से हम उन से संपत्ति का हिस्सा पाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra distributes abundant splendor in the same way as the sun distributes the rays (in himself). We get wealth by his grace, just as by the grace of the Father we get a share of the property from him. (1)
अलर्षिरातिं वसुदामुप स्तुहि भद्रा इन्द्रस्य रातयः । यो अस्य कामं विधतो न रोषति मनो दानाय चोदयन् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र सज्जनों (भद्र) को धन प्रदान करते हैं. उन के दान बहुत कल्याणकारी हैं. यजमान जब उन से कुछ चाहते हैं तो उन का मन उन्हें उस दान के लिए प्रेरित करता है. अतः हे यजमानो! आप सब उन की स्तुति करो. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra provides wealth to gentlemen (Bhadra). Their donations are very welfare. When the host wants something from them, their mind motivates them to donate it. So, O host! You all praise them. (2)
यत इन्द्र भयामहे ततो नो अभ्यं कृधि । मघवञ्छग्धि तव तन्न ऊतये वि द्विषो वि मृधो जहि ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप हमें उन सब से अभय प्रदान कीजिए, जिन से हमें भय लगता है. आप हम से विद्वेष रखने वालों को नष्ट कीजिए. आप हिंसकों का नाश कीजिए. आप हमारी रक्षा कीजिए. आप सामर्थ्यवान हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You give us protection from all that we fear. You destroy those who hate us. You destroy the violent. You protect us. You are powerful. (3)
त्वँ हि राधस्पते राधसो महः क्षयस्यासि विध्रत्ता । तं त्वा वयं मघवन्निन्द्र गिर्वणः सुतावन्तो हवामहे ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप धनपति, बहुत धनधारी एवं उपास्य हैं. हम यजमान शुद्ध और पवित्र सोमरस का आनंद लेने के लिए आप को आमंत्रित करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are rich, very rich and worshipable. We invite you to enjoy the host pure and holy Somers. (4)
