प्र सो अग्ने तवोतिभिः सुविराभिस्तरति वाजकर्मभिः । यस्य त्वँ सख्यमाविथ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जो आप को मैत्री भाव से पा लेता है, वह यजमान श्रेष्ठ वीर और श्रेष्ठ कर्मवान हो जाता है. आप की रक्षा (आशीर्वाद) से उस का बेड़ा पार हो जाता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! The one who finds you with friendship becomes the best heroic and the best karmavan. By protecting you (blessings), his fleet crosses. (1)
तव द्रप्सो नीलवान्वाश ऋत्विय इन्धानः सिष्णवा ददे । त्वं महीनामुषसामसि प्रियः क्षपो वस्तुषु राजसि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप को सोमरस से सींचा जाता है. वह प्रवहमान, इच्छित व प्रकाशमान है. उस को आप के लिए तैयार किया जाता है. आप महिमा वाली उषा देवियों के प्रिय हैं. आप रात को वस्तुओं में शोभित होते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are watered with somers. It is moving, desired and illuminating. That is prepared for you. You are dear to the glory Usha goddesses. You are adorned with objects at night. (2)
तमोषधीर्दधिरे गर्भमृत्वियं तमापो अग्निं जनयन्त मातरः । तमित्समानं वनिनश्च वीरुधोऽन्तर्वतीश्च सुवते च विश्वहा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! जलधाराएं मां की तरह आप को मानती हैं. आप को ओषधियां गर्भ में धारण करती हैं. वनस्पतियां आप को गर्भ में धारण करती हैं और संसार के सम्मुख प्रकट करती हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! Streams treat you like a mother. You are clothed in the womb. Plants hold you in the womb and reveal to the world. (3)
अग्निरिन्द्राय पवते दिवि शुक्रो वि राजति । महिषीव वि जायते ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि इंद्र के लिए प्रज्वलित होती है. वह स्वर्गलोक में विशेष रूप से चमकती हुई शोभित होती है. वह महारानी के समान दिखाई देती है. (४)
EN English Translation
Agni ignites for Indra. She is particularly adorned with shining in paradise. She looks like the Queen. (4)
यो जागार तमृचः कामयन्ते यो जागार तमु सामानि यन्ति । यो जागार तमयँ सोम आह तवाहमस्मि सख्ये न्योकाः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो जाग्रत हैं, ऋचाएं उन की कामना करती हैं. जो जाग्रत हैं, उन्हें ही सोम प्राप्त होते हैं. जो जाग्रत हैं, उन्हीं से सोम कहते हैं कि मैं तुम्हारा मित्र हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
Those who are awake, riches wish for them. Only those who are awake receive soma. Som says to those who are awake that I am your friend. (5)
अग्निर्जागार तमृचः कामयन्तेग्निर्जागार तमु सामानि यन्ति । अग्निर्जागार तमयँ सोम आह तवाहमस्मि सख्ये न्योकाः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि जाग्रत हैं, अतः तऋचाएं उन की कामना करती हैं, सोम उन्हें प्राप्त होते हैं. अग्नि जाग्रत हैं, अतः उन्हीं से सोम कहते हैं कि मैं तुम्हारा मित्र हूं. (६)
EN English Translation
Agni is awake, so the desires wish for them, Soma receives them. Agni is awake, so Som says to him that I am your friend. (6)
नमः सखिभ्यः पूर्वसद्भ्यो नमः साकन्निषेभ्यः । युञ्जे वाचँ शतपदीम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यज्ञ में शुरू से प्रतिष्ठित देवताओं को हमारा नमस्कार. मित्र देवताओं को नमस्कार सैकड़ों पदों वाली ऋचाएं देवताओं तक पहुंचने की कृपा करें. (७)
EN English Translation
Our salutations to the deities revered from the beginning in the yajna. Greetings to friend deities Please have hundreds of verses to reach the gods. (7)
युञ्जे वाचँ शतपदीं गाये सहस्रवर्त्तनि । गायत्रं त्रैष्टुभं जगत् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गायत्री, त्रिष्टप् एवं जगती छंद में सामों को हजारों प्रकार से गाते हैं. सैकड़ों पदों वाली ऋचाएं देवताओं के लिए गाई जाती हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Gayatri, Trishtap and Jagati sing saamas in thousands of ways in verses. Richas with hundreds of verses are sung for the gods. (8)
गायत्रं त्रैष्टुभं जगद्विश्वा रूपाणि सम्भृता । देवा ओकाँसि चक्रिरे ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! गायत्री, त्रिष्टुप् और जगती छंद में निबद्ध सामों को अनेक रूपों में (अनेक प्रकार से) आप के लिए गाया जाता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni! The samas composed in Gayatri, Trishtup and Jagati verses are sung for you in many forms (in many ways). (9)
अग्निर्ज्योतिर्ज्योतिरग्निरिन्द्रो ज्योतिर्ज्योतिरिन्द्रः । सूर्यो ज्योतिर्ज्योतिः सूर्यः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! अग्नि ज्योति है, ज्योति अग्नि है. इंद्र ज्योति है, ज्योति इंदर है. सूर्य ज्योति है, ज्योति ही सूर्य है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! Agni is light, light is agni. Indra is jyoti, jyoti is inder. The sun is the light, the light is the sun. (10)
पुनरूर्जा नि वर्त्तस्व पुनरग्न इषायुषा । पुनर्नः पाह्यँहसः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप ऊर्जा रूप में पधारिए. आप हमें अन्न प्रदान कीजिए. आप हमें दीर्घायु दीजिए. आप बारबार पापों से हमें बचाइए. (११)
EN English Translation
O agni! You come in the form of energy. You give us food. You give us longevity. You save us from sins again and again. (11)
सह रय्या नि वर्तस्वाग्ने पिन्वस्व धारया । विश्वप्स्न्या विश्वतस्परि ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सभी धनों को साथ ले कर पधारने की कृपा कीजिए. संसार में आनंद की धारा से हमें सींचने की कृपा कीजिए. (१२)
EN English Translation
O agni! Please take all the money with you. Please water us from the stream of joy in the world. (12)
