अभ्रातृव्यो अना त्वमनापिरिन्द्र जनुषा सनादसि । युधेदापित्वमिच्छसे ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप शुरू से ही भाइयों के लड़ाईझगड़ों से मुक्त हैं. आप के ऐसे भाईबंधु भी नहीं हैं, जो आप की मदद करें या आप पर राज करें. आप युद्ध में संरक्षण दे कर अपने भक्तों के साथ भाईबंधुता स्थापित करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are free from brothers' fights from the beginning. You don't even have brothers who help you or rule you. You establish brotherhood with your devotees by giving protection in war. (1)
यो न इदमिदं पुरा प्र वस्य आनिनाय तमु व स्तुषे । सखाय इन्द्रमूतये ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! इंद्र आरंभ से ही धनदाता हैं. हम अपने कल्याण के लिए उन की उपासना करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra has been a wealth giver from the beginning. We worship them for our welfare. (2)
आ गन्ता मा रिषण्यत प्रस्थावानो माप स्थात समन्यवः । दृढा चिद्यमयिष्णवः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुद्गणो! आप हमारे पास पधारिए. आप हमें कोई नुकसान न पहुंचाते हुए हमारे पास आइए. जो बलशाली हैं, जो दुश्मनों को दुःखी करने वाले हैं, वे भी हमारे पास रहें. वे हम से दूर न रहें. (३)
EN English Translation
O Marudgano! You come to us. You come to us without harming us. Those who are powerful, those who are going to hurt the enemies, they should also stay with us. They should not stay away from us. (3)
आ याह्ययमिन्दवेऽश्वपते गोपत उर्वरापते । सोमँ सोमपते पिब ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र देव! आप घोड़ों के मालिक, गायों व उर्वर भूमि के स्वामी और सोमरस को पीने वाले हैं. हम आप को सोमरस पीने के लिए आमंत्रित करते हैं. आप आइए और सोमरस पीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra Dev! You are the owner of horses, the owner of cows and fertile land, and the one who drinks somerus. We invite you to drink somerous. You come and drink somers. (4)
त्वया ह स्विद्युजा वयं प्रति श्वसन्तं वृषभ ब्रुवीमहि । सँस्थे जनस्य गोमतः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप बैल के समान बलवान हैं. जो गोपालको के प्रति क्रोध करते हैं हम उन के प्रति अपने को जोड़ें. आप की सहायता से उचित उत्तर देते हुए उन का विरोध करें. उन्हें दूर करने में आप हमारा साथ दीजिए. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are as strong as a bull. Those who are angry with Gopalko, we associate ourselves with them. Resist them by giving the appropriate answer with your help. You join us in removing them. (5)
गावश्चिद्धा समन्यवः सजात्येन मरुतः सबन्धवः । रिहते ककुभो मिथः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुदगणो! आप सभी एक जैसे भाव वाले हैं. गाएं समान जाति के भाव वाली हैं. वे हर दिशा में विचरती हैं और परस्पर चाट कर प्रेम भाव को अभिव्यक्त करती हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Marudagano! You all have the same sentiment. The cows are of the same jati. They move in every direction and express love by licking each other. (6)
त्वं न इन्द्रा भर ओजो नृम्णँ शतक्रतो विचर्षणे । आ वीरं पृतनासहम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सैकड़ों कर्म करने वाले व विलक्षण हैं. आप हमें बलवान बनाइए. आप हमें वैभव व वीर पुत्र प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a hundreds of deeds and extraordinary. You make us strong. Please give us glory and brave sons. (7)
अधा हीन्द्र गिर्वण उप त्वा काम ईमहे ससृग्महे । उदेव ग्मन्त उदभिः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप प्रशंसा के योग्य हैं. जल के साथ जाने वाले लोग भी उस के समान हो जाते हैं. हम आप से अपनी इच्छा पूर्ण करने की कामना करते हैं. हम आप के पास आ कर आप की उपासना करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You deserve praise. People who go with water also become like it. We wish you to fulfill your wish. We come to you and worship you. (8)
सीदन्तस्ते वयो यथा गोश्रीते मधौ मदिरे विवक्षणे । अभि त्वामिन्द्र नोनुमः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! सोमरस परिष्कृत होने के बाद गाय के दूध के साथ एकमेक हो जाता है. सोमरस ऊर्जादायी व वाणी को ओज देता है. उस के पास जैसे पक्षी इकट्ठे हो कर चहचहाते हैं, वैसे ही हम इकट्ठे हो कर आप को नमन करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! After being refined, somerus becomes one-sided with cow's milk. Someras is energetic and gives energy to speech. Just as birds gather and chirp near it, so we gather and bow down to you. (9)
वयमु त्वामपूर्व्य स्थूरं न कच्चिद्भरन्तोऽवस्यवः । वज्रिञ्चित्रँ हवामहे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप वजर वाले व विलक्षण हैं. जैसे गुणी व्यक्ति को लोग (आदर पूर्वक) बुलाते हैं, उसी प्रकार हम आप को बुलाते हैं. हम सोमरस से आप को पूरी तरह तृप्त करते हैं. हम आप की उपासना करते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a vegetarian and a prodigy. Just as people call a virtuous person (respectfully), so we call you. We completely satisfy you with Somers. We worship you. (10)
