उपो षु जातमप्तुरं गोभिर्भङ्गं परिष्कृतम् । इन्दुं देवा अयासिषुः ॥ (१)

सोमरस को पानी, गाय का दूध और घी मिला कर अच्छी तरह तैयार किया गया है. यह शत्रुनाशक है. यह उत्तम सोमरस देवताओं तक पहुंचे. (१)
EN English Translation
Somers has been well prepared by mixing water, cow's milk and ghee. It is an enemy killer. This best Someras reached the gods. (1)
पुनानो अक्रमीदभि विश्वा मृधो विचर्षणिः । शुम्भन्ति विप्रं धीतिभिः ॥ (२)

सोमरस बुद्धि बढ़ाने वाला, पवित्र व सभी शत्रुओं पर आक्रमण करता है. ज्ञानी उस सोम की स्तोत्रों से शोभा बढ़ाते हैं. (२)

Someras is intelligent, holy and attacks all enemies. Gyani adorns that Soma with stotras. (2)
आविशन्कलशँ सुतो विश्वा अर्षन्नभि श्रियः । इन्दुरिन्द्राय धीयते ॥ (३)

शुद्ध सोमरस निकाल लिया गया है. यह कलश में भरा जा रहा है. यह इच्छा पूर्ति करने वाला सोमरस इंद्र के लिए भेंट किया जाता है. (३)
EN English Translation
Pure somers has been removed. It is being filled in the urn. This wish-fulfilling Someras is offered to Indra. (3)
असर्जि रथ्यो यथा पवित्रे चम्वोः सुतः । कार्ष्मन्वाजी न्यक्रमीत् ॥ (४)

जैसे रथ का घोड़ा छोड़ा जाता है, वैसे ही सोम को दो फलको से निचोड़ कर छानने वाले बरतन में छोड़ा जाता है. घोड़े की तरह वेगवान सोमरस यज्ञ रूपी युद्ध में जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
Just as the horse of the chariot is released, so Soma is squeezed from two fruits and left in the filtering vessel. Like a horse, The Vigwan Somras goes to the war of yajna. (4)
प्र यद्गावो न भूर्णयस्त्वेषा अयासो अक्रमुः । घ्नन्तः कृष्णामप त्वचम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस वेगवान और प्रकाशवान है. वह अपनी काली छाल दूर कर के उसी तरह यज्ञ में जाता है, जिस तरह गाएं वेग से अपने बाड़े में जाती हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Somerus is fast and light. He removes his black bark and goes to the yagna in the same way as the cows go to their enclosure with speed. (5)
अपघ्नन्पवसे मृधः क्रतुवित्सोम मत्सरः । नुदस्वादेवयुं जनम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस मदमस्त करने वाला, यज्ञ के विधिविधानों (कर्मकांडों) को जानने वाला और शत्रुओं का नाशक है. सोम देवताओं को न चाहने वाले राक्षसों को दूर करने वाला है. (६)
EN English Translation
Someras is a madmanta, a person who knows the rituals of yajna and is the destroyer of enemies. Soma is going to remove demons who do not want gods. (6)
अया पवस्व धारया यया सूर्यमरोचयः । हिन्वानो मानुषीरपः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप मनुष्यों का हित करने वाले व जल को बरसात के लिए प्रेरणा देने वाले हैं. जिस धारा से आप सूर्य को प्रकाशित करते हैं, उसी धारा से आप इस पात्र में प्रवेश कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the one who benefits human beings and inspires water to rain. Enter this vessel from the stream through which you illuminate the sun. (7)
स पवस्व य आविथेन्द्रं वृत्राय हन्तवे । वव्रिवाँसं महीरपः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप जल रोकने वाले वृत्रासुर को मारने के लिए इंद्र का उत्साह बढ़ाइए. आप अपनी धाराओं से कलश को पूर्ण कर दीजिए. (८)

O Mon! You increase Indra's enthusiasm to kill Vritrasura, who stops water. You complete the urn with your streams. (8)
अया वीती परि स्रव यस्त इन्दो मदेष्वा । अवाहन्नवतीर्नव ॥ (९)

हे सोम! इंद्र के भोग के लिए आप कलश में छनिए. सोमरस शंबर राक्षस की निन्यानवे नगरियों को तोड़ने का इंद्र को सामर्थ्य प्रदान करता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon! For the enjoyment of Indra, you filter in the kalash. Someras gives Indra the power to break the ninety-nine cities of shambar demon. (9)
परि द्युक्षँ सनद्रायिं भरद्वाजं नो अन्धसा । स्वानो अर्ष पवित्र आ ॥ (१०)

हे सोम! आप प्रकाशित और देने योग्य धन हमें दीजिए. आप हमें बल और अन्न प्रदान कीजिए. आप का पवित्र रस छनने के बाद मटकों में बना रहे (स्थिरता से भरा रहे). (१०)

O Mon! You give us publishable and giving money. You give us strength and food. Make your holy juice in the matkas after filtering (be full of consistency). (10)
