मयि वर्चो अथो यशोऽथो यज्ञस्य यत्पयः । परमेष्ठी प्रजापतिर्दिवि द्यामिव दृँहतु ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्रजाओं का पालन करने वाले प्रजापति स्वर्गलोक में निवास करते हैं. वे हमें आत्मज्ञान व यश देने की कृपा करें. वे हमें यज्ञ से संबंध रखने वाली उत्तम हवि और अन्न सामग्री प्रदान करने की कृपा करें. (१)
EN English Translation
Prajapati, who follows the subjects, resides in heaven. May they be pleased to give us enlightenment and fame. May they please provide us with the best food and food items related to the yajna. (1)
सं ते पयाँसि समु यन्तु वाजाः सं वृष्ण्यान्यभिमातिषाहः । आप्यायमानो अमृताय सोम दिवि श्रवाँस्युत्तमानि धिष्व ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शत्रुनाशक हैं. आप हवि के लिए निर्धारित दुग्ध सामग्री प्राप्त कीजिए. अमरता पाने के लिए आप स्वर्गलोक में श्रेष्ठ अन्न और श्रेष्ठ बल को प्राप्त कीजिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are an enemy destroyer. You get the prescribed milk content for Havi. To attain immortality, you should get the best food and the best strength in heaven. (2)
त्वमिमा ओषधीः सोम विश्वास्त्वमपो अजनयस्त्वं गाः । त्वमातनोरुर्वा३न्तरिक्षं त्वं ज्योतिषा वि तमो ववर्थ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप ने पृथ्वीलोक में मौजूद सारी ओषधियों को उत्पन्न किया है. आप ने जल को उत्पन्न किया है. आप ने गायों को उत्पन्न किया है. आप ने आकाश को फैलाया है. आप ने अंधकार को दूर किया है. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You have produced all the medicines present in the earth. You have created water. You have produced cows. You have spread the sky. You have removed darkness. (3)
अग्निमीडे पुरोहितं यज्ञस्य देवमृत्विजम् । होतारं रत्नधातमम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम यजमान संसार का कल्याण करने की इच्छा रखते हैं. हम अग्नि की स्तुति करते हैं. वे यज्ञ में देवताओं के दूत हैं. हम यज्ञ में अग्नि प्रज्वलित करते हैं. वे हमें सुख और ऐश्वर्य प्रदान करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
We wish to do the welfare of the host world. We praise agni. They are the messengers of the gods in the yajna. We ignite agni in the yajna. They give us happiness and opulence. (4)
ते मन्वत प्रथमं नाम गोनां त्रिः सप्त परमं नाम जनान् । ता जानतीरभ्यनूषत क्षा आविर्भुवन्नरुणीर्यशसा गावः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋषियों ने सब से पहले यह जाना कि वाणी के शब्द पूजनीय हैं. उस के बाद उन्होंने सात के तिगुने यानी इक्कीस छन्दों में स्तोत्र होते हैं, यह ज्ञान प्राप्त किया. उस के बाद वाणी से उषा की स्तुति की. उस के बाद सूर्य के तेज के साथ ही प्रकाशमान अन्य स्तुतियां (वाणियां) उत्पन्न हुई. (५)
EN English Translation
The sages first of all learned that the words of speech are revered. After that, he gained the knowledge that there are hymns in three times of seven i.e. twenty-one verses. After that, along with the brightness of the sun, other praises (vanis) were born. (5)
समन्या यन्त्युपयन्त्यन्याः समानमूर्वं नद्यस्पृणन्ति । तमू शुचिँ शुचयो दीदिवाँसमपान्नपातमुप यन्त्यापः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बरसात का पानी जमीन पर गिर कर जमीन के पानी के साथ मिल जाता है. ये दोनों पानी नदी का रूप धारण कर लेते हैं और समुद्र में मिल जाते हैं. वहां ये पानी समुद्री अग्नि को आनंद देते हैं. इसी प्रकार सोमरस पानी में मिल कर आनंदित करता है. (६)
EN English Translation
Rainwater falls on the ground and mixes with the ground water. Both these waters take the form of a river and join the sea. There these waters give pleasure to the sea agni. Similarly, Someras enjoys by joining water. (6)
आ प्रागाद्भद्रा युवतिरह्नः केतून्त्समीर्त्सति । अभूद्भद्रा निवेशनी विश्वस्य जगतो रात्री ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूर्य॒ की किरणों को समेटने वाली रात्रि रूपी स्त्री आ गई है. यह सारे संसार को आराम देने वाली है. यह सारे संसार का कल्याण चाहने वाली है. (७)
EN English Translation
The night-like woman who covers the rays of the sun has come. It is going to relax the whole world. It seeks the welfare of the whole world. (7)
प्रक्षस्य वृष्णो अरुषस्य नू महः प्र नो वचो विदथा जातवेदसे । वैश्वानराय मतिर्नव्यसे शुचिः सोम इव पवते चारुरग्नये ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि सर्वत्र व्याप्त व प्रकाशमान हैं. हम उन की स्तुति करते हैं. हम यज्ञ में उन के लिए स्तोत्र गाते हैं. वे सभी मनुष्यों का हित करने वाले हैं. उन के पास स्तोत्र वैसे ही जाते हैं, जैसे यज्ञ में सोम जाते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Agni is everywhere and illuminating. We praise them. We sing stotras for them in the yagna. They are going to benefit all human beings. Stotras go to them in the same way as Soma goes in the yagna. (8)
विश्वे देवा मम शृण्वन्तु यज्ञमुभे रोदसी अपां नपाच्च मन्म । मा वो वचाँसि परिचक्ष्याणि वोचँ सुम्नेष्विद्वो अन्तमा मदेम ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सभी देवगण हमारे पूजनीय स्तोत्रों को सुनने की कृपा करें. स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक दोनों हमारे स्तोत्रों को सुनने की कृपा करें. अग्नि हमारे स्तोत्र सुनें. हम कभी भी अप्रिय और त्याज्य वाणी न बोलें. हम देवताओं की कृपा में रहें. उन के द्वारा दिए गए सुख से सुखी रहें. (९)
EN English Translation
May all the gods please listen to our revered stotras. Please listen to our hymns, both heaven and earthland. Listen to our hymns of Agni. We should never speak unpleasant and unspeakable words. May we be in the grace of the gods. Be happy with the happiness given by them. (9)
यशो मा द्यावापृथिवी यशो मेन्द्रबृहस्पती । यशो भगस्य विन्दतु यशो मा प्रतिमुच्यताम् । यशस्व्या३स्याः सँ सदोऽहं प्रवदिता स्याम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम यजमानों को स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक का यश प्राप्त हो. हमें इंद्र और बृहस्पति का यश भी प्राप्त हो. सूर्य का यश मुझे मिले. यह यश कभी हम से मुंह न मोड़े. इस सभा में मुझे यश मिले. इस में में विचार व्यक्त करने की अच्छी क्षमता (देवताओं की कृपा से) पा जाऊं. (१०)
EN English Translation
May we hosts get the glory of heaven and earthland. May we also get the fame of Indra and Jupiter. I got the glory of the sun. This fame should never turn away from us. I got success in this meeting. In this, I can get a good ability to express thoughts (by the grace of the gods). (10)
इन्द्रस्य नु वीर्याणि प्रवोचं यानि चकार प्रथमानि वज्री । अहन्नहिमन्वपस्ततर्द प्र वक्षणा अभिनत्पर्वतानाम् ॥ (११)

इंद्र वज्रधारी और शक्तिशाली हैं. वे बादलों को भेद कर बरसात करने वाले हैं. उन्होंने नदियों के तट बना कर पर्वतों से जल बहाया. मैं उन के इन अच्छे कामों का बारबार वर्णन करता हूं. (११)
EN English Translation
Indra is vajradhari and powerful. They are going to rain by penetrating the clouds. They built the banks of rivers and shed water from the mountains. I describe these good deeds of him again and again. (11)
अग्निरस्मि जन्मना जातवेदा घृतं मे चक्षुरमृतं म आसन् । त्रिधातुरर्को रजसो विमानोऽजस्रं ज्योतिर्हविरस्मि सर्वम् ॥ (१२)

मैं (आत्मा) जन्म से ही अग्नि स्वरूप हूं. सब कुछ जानने वाला हूं, प्रकाशमान हूं. मुंह में अमरता देने वाली वाणी है. मैं प्राण, अपान, व्यान इन तीनों प्रकार का प्राण हूं, आकाश को नापने वाला वायु हूं, प्रकाशमान सूर्य हूं, सभी की हवि हूं. (१२)

I (atma) have been the form of agni since birth. I am going to know everything, I am illuminated. There is an immortality speech in the mouth. I am the life of all three types of life, Apan, Vyana, I am the air that measures the sky, I am the shining sun, I am the havi of everyone. (12)
पात्यग्निर्विपो अग्रं पदं वेः पाति यह्वश्चरणँ सूर्यस्य । पाति नाभा सप्तशीर्षाणमग्निः ॥ (१३)

अग्नि देव सर्वव्यापक हैं. वे पृथ्वी के मुख्य स्थानों की रक्षा करते हैं. वे महान हैं. वे सूर्य के मार्ग व अंतरिक्ष की रक्षा करते हैं. वे अंतरिक्षलोक में मरुदगणों व देवताओं को प्रिय लगने वाले यज्ञ की रक्षा करते हैं. वे सुंदर तथा दर्शनीय हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
Agni Dev is omnipresent. They protect the main places of the earth. They are great. They protect the path of the sun and space. They protect the yajna that is dear to the marudaganas and gods in the space world. They are beautiful and visible. (13)
