हे सोम! यवमान यानी जौ से पूरी तरह भरी हुई फसल को हम सब बहुत सोचविचार कर सावधानीपूर्वक काटते हैं. हम दया से परिपूर्ण आप को कुश का आसन भेंट करते हैं. आप यहां आने व भोजन करने की कृपा कीजिए. ये यजमान कुश के आसन पर बैठ कर नमस्कारपूर्वक आप के लिए यज्ञ कर रहे हैं. (३८)

O Mon! We all cut the crop full of barley very carefully. We offer you the seat of Kush full of mercy. Please come here and eat. These hosts are sitting on the seat of Kush and performing yagna for you with namaskar. (38)
