यो र॑यिवो र॒यिंत॑मो॒ यो द्यु॒म्नैर्द्यु॒म्नव॑त्तमः । सोमः॑ सु॒तः स इ॑न्द्र॒ तेऽस्ति॑ स्वधापते॒ मदः॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धन के स्वामी एवं स्वधारूप सोम के रक्षक इंद्र! जो सोमरस धन से अत्यंत युक्त एवं दीप्त यशों के कारण परम तेजस्वी है, वह सोमरस निचुड़ने पर तुम्हें प्रसन्नता दे. (१)
EN English Translation
O Lord of wealth and protector of Swadharupa Soma Indra! The Somras, who is extremely possessed of wealth and the most glorious because of the bright glory, may the Somras give you happiness when you are free. (1)
यः श॒ग्मस्तु॑विशग्म ते रा॒यो दा॒मा म॑ती॒नाम् । सोमः॑ सु॒तः स इ॑न्द्र॒ तेऽस्ति॑ स्वधापते॒ मदः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय सुखदाता एवं स्वधारूप सोमरस के रक्षक इंद्र! जो सोम तुम्हें परम सुखकारक एवं स्तोताओं को धन देने वाला है, वही सोमरस निचुड़ने पर तुम्हें प्रसन्नता दे. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the most comforter and protector of the swayamdharup somras! The soma which is going to give you the ultimate pleasure and give wealth to the hymns, may the same Somras give you happiness when it is removed. (2)
येन॑ वृ॒द्धो न शव॑सा तु॒रो न स्वाभि॑रू॒तिभिः॑ । सोमः॑ सु॒तः स इ॑न्द्र॒ तेऽस्ति॑ स्वधापते॒ मदः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोमरूप अन्न के रक्षक इंद्र! तुम जिस सोमरस को पीकर परम बलवान् बनते हो एवं अपने रक्षक मरुतों के साथ मिलकर शत्रुओं का नाश करते हो, वही सोमरस निचुड़ने पर तुम्हें प्रसन्नता प्रदान करे. (३)
EN English Translation
O Somrupa the protector of the food Indra! May the Somras, which you drink and become the supreme force and destroy the enemies together with your protectors, the same Somaras may give you happiness when they are deserted. (3)
त्यमु॑ वो॒ अप्र॑हणं गृणी॒षे शव॑स॒स्पति॑म् । इन्द्रं॑ विश्वा॒साहं॒ नरं॒ मंहि॑ष्ठं वि॒श्वच॑र्षणिम् ॥ (४)

हे यजमानो! हम तुम्हारे कल्याण के निमित्त भक्तों पर अनुग्रह करने वाले, शक्ति के स्वामी, सभी शत्रुओं को हराने वाले, यज्ञकर्म के नेता, अतिशय दाता एवं सबको देखने वाले इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O hosts! We praise Indra, who has been gracious to the devotees for your welfare, the lord of power, who defeats all enemies, the leader of yajnakarma, the most forgiving and the seer of all. (4)
यं व॒र्धय॒न्तीद्गिरः॒ पतिं॑ तु॒रस्य॒ राध॑सः । तमिन्न्व॑स्य॒ रोद॑सी दे॒वी शुष्मं॑ सपर्यतः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र संबंधी स्तुतियों द्वारा इंद्र का शत्रुधनहर्ता बल बढ़ता है. दिव्य धरती-आकाश उसी बल की सेवा करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Indra's enemy strength increases through the praises of Indra. The divine earth-sky serve the same force. (5)
तद्व॑ उ॒क्थस्य॑ ब॒र्हणेन्द्रा॑योपस्तृणी॒षणि॑ । विपो॒ न यस्यो॒तयो॒ वि यद्रोह॑न्ति स॒क्षितः॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! इंद्र के लिए अपने स्तोत्र की महत्ता बढ़ाओ. इंद्र सर्वकार्य कुशल व्यक्ति के समान सदा तुम्हारी रक्षा करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
This stotao! Increase the importance of your hymn to Indra. Indra always protects you like a skilled man of all work. (6)
अवि॑द॒द्दक्षं॑ मि॒त्रो नवी॑यान्पपा॒नो दे॒वेभ्यो॒ वस्यो॑ अचैत् । स॒स॒वान्स्तौ॒लाभि॑र्धौ॒तरी॑भिरुरु॒ष्या पा॒युर॑भव॒त्सखि॑भ्यः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र यज्ञकर्म में कुशल यजमान को जानते हैं. मित्र एवं अत्यंत ताजा सोमरस पीने वाले इंद्र स्तोताओं के लिए श्रेष्ठ धन देते हैं. हव्यरूप अन्न से युक्त एवं धरती को कंपित करने वाले मरुतों के साथ रहने वाले इंद्र स्तोताओं की रक्षा की अभिलाषा से आते हैं एवं उनकी रक्षा करते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Indra knows the skilled host in yajnakarma. Friends and those who drink extremely fresh somras give the best money to Indra stotas. Indra, who lives with the maruts containing food grains and vibrating the earth, comes and protects the stothas with the desire to protect them. (7)
ऋ॒तस्य॑ प॒थि वे॒धा अ॑पायि श्रि॒ये मनां॑सि दे॒वासो॑ अक्रन् । दधा॑नो॒ नाम॑ म॒हो वचो॑भि॒र्वपु॑र्दृ॒शये॑ वे॒न्यो व्या॑वः ॥ (८)

यज्ञ के मार्ग में सबको देखने वाला सोमरस पिया गया है. इंद्र का मन अपनी ओर खींचने के लिए सोम ऋत्विजों द्वारा तैयार किया गया है. इंद्र शत्रुपराभवकारी एवं महान् शरीर धारण करते हुए हमारी स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर आविर्भूत हों. (८)
EN English Translation
The somras that see everyone in the path of the yajna has been drunk. Indra's mind has been prepared by the Som Ritvijs to draw towards him. May Indra, the enemy, be pleased with our praises, wearing a great body and a great body. (8)
द्यु॒मत्त॑मं॒ दक्षं॑ धेह्य॒स्मे सेधा॒ जना॑नां पू॒र्वीररा॑तीः । वर्षी॑यो॒ वयः॑ कृणुहि॒ शची॑भि॒र्धन॑स्य सा॒ताव॒स्माँ अ॑विड्ढि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमें अत्यंत दीप्तिशाली बल दो. हम स्तोता लोगों के बहुत से शत्रुओं को हमसे दूर करो, अपनी श्रेष्ठ बुद्धियों द्वारा हमें उत्तम धन दो एवं धन का भोग करने के लिए हमारी रक्षा करो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give us a very bright force. Let us remove from us many enemies of the Stota people, give us the best wealth through our best intellects and protect us to enjoy wealth. (9)
इन्द्र॒ तुभ्य॒मिन्म॑घवन्नभूम व॒यं दा॒त्रे ह॑रिवो॒ मा वि वे॑नः । नकि॑रा॒पिर्द॑दृशे मर्त्य॒त्रा किम॒ङ्ग र॑ध्र॒चोद॑नं त्वाहुः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे लिए ही हैं. हे हरि नामक घोड़ों के स्वामी इंद्र! हम हव्यदाताओं के प्रतिकूल मत होना. तुम्हारे अतिरिक्त मनुष्यों में हमारा कोई भी बंधु नहीं है. हे प्रिय इंद्र! इसीलिए प्राचीन लोगों ने तुम्हें धन का प्रेरक कहा है. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! We are for you only. O Indra, lord of horses named Hari! We don't be unfavorable to the donors. We have no brothers among men other than you. O dear Indra! That's why the ancients called you the instigator of wealth. (10)
मा जस्व॑ने वृषभ नो ररीथा॒ मा ते॑ रे॒वतः॑ स॒ख्ये रि॑षाम । पू॒र्वीष्ट॑ इन्द्र नि॒ष्षिधो॒ जने॑षु ज॒ह्यसु॑ष्वी॒न्प्र वृ॒हापृ॑णतः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र! हमें हानिकारक राक्षसों को मत सौंपना. तुझ धनस्वामी की मित्रता पाकर हम दुःखी न हों. शत्रुओं तक तुम्हारी रस्सियां फैली हुई हैं. तुम सोम न निचोड़ने वालों को मारो एवं इव्य न देने वालों को समाप्त करो. (११)
EN English Translation
Oh, this desireful Indra! Don't give us harmful monsters. Let us not be sad to find the friendship of your wealthy. Your ropes extend to the enemies. You kill those who do not squeeze the mon and finish those who do not give the evil. (11)
उद॒भ्राणी॑व स्त॒नय॑न्निय॒र्तीन्द्रो॒ राधां॒स्यश्व्या॑नि॒ गव्या॑ । त्वम॑सि प्र॒दिवः॑ का॒रुधा॑या॒ मा त्वा॑दा॒मान॒ आ द॑भन्म॒घोनः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गरजते हुए पर्जन्य जिस प्रकार मेघों को जन्म देते हैं, उसी प्रकार इंद्र होताओं को देने के लिए घोड़े एवं गो-हितकारी धन उत्पन्न करते हैं. तुम प्राचीन काल से स्तोताओं के रक्षक हो. धनी लोग दानहीन बनकर हमें कष्ट न दें. (१२)
EN English Translation
Just as thundering perzanis give birth to clouds, so do horses and cow-benefactors generate wealth to give to indra. You are the protector of the hymns since ancient times. Let the rich people not suffer us by becoming unspoken. (12)
अध्व॑र्यो वीर॒ प्र म॒हे सु॒ताना॒मिन्द्रा॑य भर॒ स ह्य॑स्य॒ राजा॑ । यः पू॒र्व्याभि॑रु॒त नूत॑नाभिर्गी॒र्भिर्वा॑वृ॒धे गृ॑ण॒तामृषी॑णाम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वीर अध्वर्युगण! महान् इंद्र को सोमरस भेंट दो. वे सोम के राजा हैं. ये स्तुतिकर्ता ऋषियों की प्राचीन एवं नवीन स्तुतियों से वृद्धि को प्राप्त हुए हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
O brave teachers! Gift somras to the great Indra. They are the king of Mon. These praises have been increased by the ancient and new praises of the sages. (13)
अ॒स्य मदे॑ पु॒रु वर्पां॑सि वि॒द्वानिन्द्रो॑ वृ॒त्राण्य॑प्र॒ती ज॑घान । तमु॒ प्र हो॑षि॒ मधु॑मन्तमस्मै॒ सोमं॑ वी॒राय॑ शि॒प्रिणे॒ पिब॑ध्यै ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
विद्वान् एवं अद्वितीय इंद्र ने इस सोमरस के नशे में अनेक विरोधी शत्रुओं को मार डाला. हे अध्वर्युगण! इसी शोभन हनु वाले एवं वीर इंद्र को वह माधुर्ययुक्त सोमरस पीने को दो. (१४)
EN English Translation
The learned and unique Indra killed many hostile enemies in the intoxication of this Somras. O teacher! Give that same Shobhan Hanu Wale and Veer Indra to drink that melody-laden somras. (14)
पाता॑ सु॒तमिन्द्रो॑ अस्तु॒ सोमं॒ हन्ता॑ वृ॒त्रं वज्रे॑ण मन्दसा॒नः । गन्ता॑ य॒ज्ञं प॑रा॒वत॑श्चि॒दच्छा॒ वसु॑र्धी॒नाम॑वि॒ता का॒रुधा॑याः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र इस निचोड़े हुए सोमरस को पिएं एवं प्रसन्न होकर वज्र द्वारा वृत्र को मारें. सबको घर देने वाले, स्तोताओं के यज्ञकर्म के रक्षक एवं यजमानों के पालक इंद्र दूर देश से भी हमारे यज्ञ में आवें. (१५)
EN English Translation
Indra drinks this squeezed somras and be happy to kill Vritra with a thunderbolt. Indra, the protector of the yagnakarma of the hymns and the guardian of the hosts, may come to our yajna even from a distant land. (15)
इ॒दं त्यत्पात्र॑मिन्द्र॒पान॒मिन्द्र॑स्य प्रि॒यम॒मृत॑मपायि । मत्स॒द्यथा॑ सौमन॒साय॑ दे॒वं व्य१॒॑स्मद्द्वेषो॑ यु॒यव॒द्व्यंहः॑ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस इंद्र का प्रिय, अनुकूल एवं पीने योग्य है. इस अमृतरूप सोमरस को पीकर इंद्र प्रसन्न हों तथा हमारे ऊपर कृपा करके हमारे शत्रुओं एवं पापों को दूर भगावें. (१६)
EN English Translation
Somras is Indra's beloved, friendly and drinkable. May Indra be pleased to drink this amritrup somras and please us to drive away our enemies and sins. (16)
ए॒ना म॑न्दा॒नो ज॒हि शू॑र॒ शत्रू॑ञ्जा॒मिमजा॑मिं मघवन्न॒मित्रा॑न् । अ॒भि॒षे॒णाँ अ॒भ्या॒३॒॑देदि॑शाना॒न्परा॑च इन्द्र॒ प्र मृ॑णा ज॒ही च॑ ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! इस सोमरस को पीकर तुम प्रसन्न बनो एवं हमारे निकटवर्ती एवं दूरवर्ती शत्रुओं को नष्ट करो. हे इंद्र! जो शत्रु सैनिक हमारे सामने आकर बार-बार हथियार डाल देते हैं, उन्हें हमसे दूर करके नष्ट करो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! Drink this somras and be happy and destroy our near and distant enemies. O Indra! Destroy the enemy soldiers who come before us and lay down their weapons again and again, away from us. (17)
आ॒सु ष्मा॑ णो मघवन्निन्द्र पृ॒त्स्व१॒॑स्मभ्यं॒ महि॒ वरि॑वः सु॒गं कः॑ । अ॒पां तो॒कस्य॒ तन॑यस्य जे॒ष इन्द्र॑ सू॒रीन्कृ॑णु॒हि स्मा॑ नो अ॒र्धम् ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! इन सभी संग्रामं में हमें महान् धन की प्राप्ति सरल बनाओ. तुम हम स्तोताओं को जल, पुत्र, पौत्र की जय के निमित्त समृद्ध बनाओ एवं शत्रुनाश की शक्ति दो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O Dhanaswami Indra! In all these battles, make it easy for us to get great wealth. Let us make the psalms rich for the glory of water, son, grandson, and give them the power of destruction. (18)
आ त्वा॒ हर॑यो॒ वृष॑णो युजा॒ना वृष॑रथासो॒ वृष॑रश्म॒योऽत्याः॑ । अ॒स्म॒त्राञ्चो॒ वृष॑णो वज्र॒वाहो॒ वृष्णे॒ मदा॑य सु॒युजो॑ वहन्तु ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे अभिलाषापूरक अपने आप रथ में जुड़ने वाले, अभिलाषापूरक रथ को ढोने वाले, ढीली लगामों वाले, नित्यगतिशील, हमारे सामने आने वाले, सदायुवा, वज्र ढोने वाले एवं भली प्रकार रथ में जुड़े हुए घोड़े नशीले सोम को पीने के लिए तुम्हें यहां लावें. (१९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May your wishers bring you here to drink the intoxicating som who automatically joins the chariot, who carries the desireful chariot, the loosely reined, the one who comes in front of us, the ones who carry the vajra, the horse that is well connected in the chariot. (19)
आ ते॑ वृष॒न्वृष॑णो॒ द्रोण॑मस्थुर्घृत॒प्रुषो॒ नोर्मयो॒ मद॑न्तः । इन्द्र॒ प्र तुभ्यं॒ वृष॑भिः सु॒तानां॒ वृष्णे॑ भरन्ति वृष॒भाय॒ सोम॑म् ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र! तुम्हारे जल बरसाने वाले युवा घोड़े पानी फैलाने वाली सागर त॑रगों के समान प्रसन्न होकर तुम्हारे रथ में जुड़े हुए हैं. हे कामवर्षी एवं युवा इंद्र! अध्यर्युगण तुम्हें पत्थरों की सहायता से निचोड़ा गया सोमरस भेंट करते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
Oh, this desireful Indra! The young horses that rain your water are attached to your chariot, as happy as the sea waves that spread the water. O kamavarshi and young Indra! The adjugs present you with the somaras squeezed with the help of stones. (20)
वृषा॑सि दि॒वो वृ॑ष॒भः पृ॑थि॒व्या वृषा॒ सिन्धू॑नां वृष॒भः स्तिया॑नाम् । वृष्णे॑ त॒ इन्दु॑र्वृषभ पीपाय स्वा॒दू रसो॑ मधु॒पेयो॒ वरा॑य ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम हव्यों द्वारा स्वर्ग को तृप्त करने वाले, धरती के अभिलाषापूरक, वर्षा द्वारा नदियों को भरने वाले एवं स्थावरजंगम सकल विश्व के कामपूरक हो. हे अभिलाषापूरक एवं वर्षाकारक इंद्र! तुम्हारे लिए ही मधुर सोमरस तैयार किया गया है. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the filler of heaven by the human beings, the one who desires the earth, the fillers of the rivers by rain, and the fuller of the real world. This is the desireful and rain-filled Indra! The only sweet somras has been prepared for you. (21)
अ॒यं दे॒वः सह॑सा॒ जाय॑मान॒ इन्द्रे॑ण यु॒जा प॒णिम॑स्तभायत् । अ॒यं स्वस्य॑ पि॒तुरायु॑धा॒नीन्दु॑रमुष्णा॒दशि॑वस्य मा॒याः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दीप्तिशाली सोम ने अपने मित्र इंद्र के साथ जन्म लेकर पणि को बलपूर्वक रोक लिया था. इसी सोमरस ने गोरूप धन को पर्वतों में छिपाकर रखने वाले अकल्याणकारी पणियों की माया एवं आयुध बेकार किए थे. (२२)

Deeptishali Som, born with his friend Indra, forcibly stopped The Panai. It was this Somras that had wasted the maya and ordnance of the unsavory pangs that hid the Gorup dhan in the mountains. (22)
अ॒यम॑कृणोदु॒षसः॑ सु॒पत्नी॑र॒यं सूर्ये॑ अदधा॒ज्ज्योति॑र॒न्तः । अ॒यं त्रि॒धातु॑ दि॒वि रो॑च॒नेषु॑ त्रि॒तेषु॑ विन्दद॒मृतं॒ निगू॑ळ्हम् ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इसी सोमरस ने उषाओं के शोभनपालक सूर्य को सुशोभित किया था एवं सूर्य मंडल के बीच में ज्योति की स्थापना की थी. तीनों सवनों में तीन प्रकार से वर्तमान इसी सोमरस ने तेजस्वी तीनों लोकों के बीच छिपे हुए अमृत को पाया था. (२३)
EN English Translation
It was this Somras that adorned the sun, the adornment of the Ushas, and established the light in the middle of the sun circle. In all the three sawans, in three ways, the present same Somras had found the elixir hidden among the three lokas. (23)
अ॒यं द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी वि ष्क॑भायद॒यं रथ॑मयुनक्स॒प्तर॑श्मिम् । अ॒यं गोषु॒ शच्या॑ प॒क्वम॒न्तः सोमो॑ दाधार॒ दश॑यन्त्र॒मुत्स॑म् ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इसी सोमरस ने धरती-आकाश को अपने स्थान पर स्थित किया था. इसी ने सात किरणों वाला रथ तैयार किया था. इस सोम ने ही गायों के मध्य अपने आप निर्मित होने वाले एवं अनेक धाराओं वाले दूध को धारण किया था. (२४)
EN English Translation
It was this Somras that located the earth-sky in its place. It was he who prepared a chariot with seven rays. It was this Mon who had held the milk that was made on his own and had many streams among the cows. (24)
