स्वा॒दोर॑भक्षि॒ वय॑सः सुमे॒धाः स्वा॒ध्यो॑ वरिवो॒वित्त॑रस्य । विश्वे॒ यं दे॒वा उ॒त मर्त्या॑सो॒ मधु॑ ब्रु॒वन्तो॑ अ॒भि सं॒चर॑न्ति ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
शोभन-बुद्धि एवं अध्ययन से युक्त मैं अत्यंत पूजा प्राप्त करने वाले एवं स्वादिष्ट अन्न का भक्षण कर सकूं. विश्वेदेव एवं सभी मनुष्य उस अन्न को मधु कहते हुए घूमते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
With a lot of wisdom and study, I can eat highly worshiped and delicious food. Vishwedev and all human beings roam around calling that grain honey. (1)
अ॒न्तश्च॒ प्रागा॒ अदि॑तिर्भवास्यवया॒ता हर॑सो॒ दैव्य॑स्य । इन्द॒विन्द्र॑स्य स॒ख्यं जु॑षा॒णः श्रौष्टी॑व॒ धुर॒मनु॑ रा॒य ऋ॑ध्याः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हृदय के भीतर गमन करने वाले, दीनतारहित एवं देवों का क्रोध दूर करने वाले हो. हे सोम! तुम इंद्र की मित्रता प्राप्त करके शीघ्र आकर उसी प्रकार हमारा धन वहन करो, जिस प्रकार घोड़ा बोझा ढोता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the one who moves within the heart, without humility and removes the anger of the gods. O Mon! After getting the friendship of Indra, come quickly and bear our money in the same way as the horse carries the burden. (2)
अपा॑म॒ सोम॑म॒मृता॑ अभू॒माग॑न्म॒ ज्योति॒रवि॑दाम दे॒वान् । किं नू॒नम॒स्मान्कृ॑णव॒दरा॑तिः॒ किमु॑ धू॒र्तिर॑मृत॒ मर्त्य॑स्य ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरणरहित सोम! हम तुम्हें पीकर अमर बनेंगे, स्वर्ग में जाएंगे एवं देवों को प्राप्त करेंगे. शत्रु हमारा क्या कर लेगा? मुझ मनुष्य का हिंसक शत्रु क्या बिगाड़ लेगा. (३)
EN English Translation
O mortal Mon! We will make you immortal by drinking, we will go to heaven and receive the gods. What will the enemy do to us? What will the violent enemy of My man do wrong? (3)
शं नो॑ भव हृ॒द आ पी॒त इ॑न्दो पि॒तेव॑ सोम सू॒नवे॑ सु॒शेवः॑ । सखे॑व॒ सख्य॑ उरुशंस॒ धीरः॒ प्र ण॒ आयु॑र्जी॒वसे॑ सोम तारीः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! पीने के पश्चात् तुम हृदय के उसी प्रकार सुखदाता बनो, जिस प्रकार पिता पुत्र को सुख पहुंचाता है. तुम इस प्रकार सुखदाता बनो, जिस प्रकार मित्र मित्र को सुख देता है. हे अनेक जनों द्वारा प्रशंसित धीर सोम! जीवन के लिए हमारी आयु बढ़ाओ. (४)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! After drinking, be the comforters of the heart in the same way that the Father brings happiness to the Son. Be the giver of happiness in this way, just as a friend gives happiness to a friend. O Dhir Som, admired by many people! Raise our lifespan for life. (4)
इ॒मे मा॑ पी॒ता य॒शस॑ उरु॒ष्यवो॒ रथं॒ न गावः॒ सम॑नाह॒ पर्व॑सु । ते मा॑ रक्षन्तु वि॒स्रस॑श्च॒रित्रा॑दु॒त मा॒ स्रामा॑द्यवय॒न्त्विन्द॑वः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह पिए हुए, यशकारक एवं रक्षण के इच्छुक सोम मुझे इस प्रकार यज्ञकर्मो से बांध दें, जिस प्रकार बधिया बैल रस्सी की गांठों द्वारा रथ से बंधा रहता है. सोम मुझे भ्रष्ट चरित्र से बचावें एवं व्यभिचार से दूर करें. (५)
EN English Translation
This drunk, successful and willing to protect Mon binds me to the yagnakarmas in such a way that the badhiya bull is tied to the chariot by rope rope ropes. Mon protect me from corrupt character and remove me from adultery. (5)
अ॒ग्निं न मा॑ मथि॒तं सं दि॑दीपः॒ प्र च॑क्षय कृणु॒हि वस्य॑सो नः । अथा॒ हि ते॒ मद॒ आ सो॑म॒ मन्ये॑ रे॒वाँ इ॑व॒ प्र च॑रा पु॒ष्टिमच्छ॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! पीने के बाद तुम मुझे मथित अग्नि के समान भली प्रकार दीप्त करो, भली प्रकार देखो एवं अतिशय धनशाली बनाओ. मैं तुम्हारे मद के लिए स्तुति करता हूं. तुम धनवान् बनकर पुष्ट बनो. (६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! After you have drunk, let me shine well like a churned agni, and look well and make me very rich. I praise you for your item. You become rich and be strong. (6)
इ॒षि॒रेण॑ ते॒ मन॑सा सु॒तस्य॑ भक्षी॒महि॒ पित्र्य॑स्येव रा॒यः । सोम॑ राज॒न्प्र ण॒ आयूं॑षि तारी॒रहा॑नीव॒ सूर्यो॑ वास॒राणि॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अभिलाषापूर्ण मन से निचोड़े हुए सोमरस को पैतृक धन के समान प्रयोग में लाएंगे. हे राजा सोम! हमारी आयु इस प्रकार बढ़ाओ, जिस प्रकार सूर्य दिनों को बढ़ाते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
We will put the sobriquet-squeezed somras with a desireful mind to use it as ancestral wealth. O King Mon! Increase our lifespan in this way, just as the sun increases the days. (7)
सोम॑ राजन्मृ॒ळया॑ नः स्व॒स्ति तव॑ स्मसि व्र॒त्या॒३॒॑स्तस्य॑ विद्धि । अल॑र्ति॒ दक्ष॑ उ॒त म॒न्युरि॑न्दो॒ मा नो॑ अ॒र्यो अ॑नुका॒मं परा॑ दाः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे राजा सोम! हमें विनाशरहित बनाने के लिए सुखी करो. व्रतधारी हम तुम्हारे ही हैं, इसे जानो. हे इंद्र! हमारा शत्रु क्रोध में भरा हुआ एवं वृद्धि प्राप्त करके जा रहा है. इसके क्रोध से हमारा उद्धार करो. (८)
EN English Translation
O King Mon! Make us happy to make us without destruction. We are yours, know it. O Indra! Our enemy is full of anger and is going to get a rise. Save us from its wrath. (8)
त्वं हि न॑स्त॒न्वः॑ सोम गो॒पा गात्रे॑गात्रे निष॒सत्था॑ नृ॒चक्षाः॑ । यत्ते॑ व॒यं प्र॑मि॒नाम॑ व्र॒तानि॒ स नो॑ मृळ सुष॒खा दे॑व॒ वस्यः॑ ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हमारे शरीर के रक्षक यज्ञकर्म के प्रत्येक अंग के नेताओं को देखने वाले एवं बैठने वाले हो. हे देव! हम तुम्हारे व्रतों में विघ्न डालते हैं, फिर भी तुम उत्तम मित्र एवं रेष्ठ अन्न वाले बनकर हमें सुखी करो. (९)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You are the protector of our body who will see and sit the leaders of every organ of yajnakarma. Oh, God! We interrupt your vows, yet make us happy by becoming good friends and with the best food. (9)
ऋ॒दू॒दरे॑ण॒ सख्या॑ सचेय॒ यो मा॒ न रिष्ये॑द्धर्यश्व पी॒तः । अ॒यं यः सोमो॒ न्यधा॑य्य॒स्मे तस्मा॒ इन्द्रं॑ प्र॒तिर॑मे॒म्यायुः॑ ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं उदर को बाधा न पहुंचाने वाले सखा सोम से मिलूंगा. पिए हुए सोम मेरी हिंसा न करें. हे हरि नामक अश्चों वाले इंद्र! मैं याचना करता हूं कि पिया हुआ सोम चिरकाल तक हमारे उदर में रहे. (१०)
EN English Translation
I will meet Sakha Som who does not obstruct the stomach. Don't let the drunk mon do my violence. O Indra with tears called Hari! I beg that the piya hua mon stay in our stomach for eternity. (10)
अप॒ त्या अ॑स्थु॒रनि॑रा॒ अमी॑वा॒ निर॑त्रस॒न्तमि॑षीची॒रभै॑षुः । आ सोमो॑ अ॒स्माँ अ॑रुह॒द्विहा॑या॒ अग॑न्म॒ यत्र॑ प्रति॒रन्त॒ आयुः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कठिनता से हटने वाली एवं दृढ़ पीड़ाएं दूर हों. वे पीड़ाएं शक्तिशालिनी बनकर हमें कंपित और भयभीत करती हैं. महान् सोम हमारे समीप आया है. जिस सोम के पीने से हमारी आयु बढ़ती है, उसे हम प्राप्त करें. (११)
EN English Translation
Let the pains that are removed from the difficulty and the strong ones are removed. Those pains vibrate and frighten us by becoming powerful. The Great Mon has come close to us. The mon by which we drink increases our life, let us get it. (11)
यो न॒ इन्दुः॑ पितरो हृ॒त्सु पी॒तोऽम॑र्त्यो॒ मर्त्या॑ँ आवि॒वेश॑ । तस्मै॒ सोमा॑य ह॒विषा॑ विधेम मृळी॒के अ॑स्य सुम॒तौ स्या॑म ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पितरो! जो मरणरहित सोम पिए जाने पर हम मानवों के हृदय में प्रविष्ट हुआ है, हम हव्यधारणकर्ता यजमान उसी सोम की सेवा करेंगे एवं उसकी कृपा दृष्टि में रहेंगे. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Pitro! The mortal undeserved monism that has entered the hearts of us human beings when we drink the undeterred som, we will serve the same Som and his grace will be in sight. (12)
त्वं सो॑म पि॒तृभिः॑ संविदा॒नोऽनु॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी आ त॑तन्थ । तस्मै॑ त इन्दो ह॒विषा॑ विधेम व॒यं स्या॑म॒ पत॑यो रयी॒णाम् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम पितरों के साथ मिलकर द्यावा-पृथिवी का विस्तार करते हो. हम हवि के दवारा तुम्हारी सेवा करें एवं धन के स्वामी बनें. (१३)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Together with the fathers, you expand the dyava-prithvivi. Let us serve you through havi and become masters of wealth. (13)
त्राता॑रो देवा॒ अधि॑ वोचता नो॒ मा नो॑ नि॒द्रा ई॑शत॒ मोत जल्पिः॑ । व॒यं सोम॑स्य वि॒श्वह॑ प्रि॒यासः॑ सु॒वीरा॑सो वि॒दथ॒मा व॑देम ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रक्षक देवो! हमसे मीठे वचन बोलो. स्वप्र हमें अपने वश में न करें और निंदा करने वाले हमारी निंदा न करें. हम सदा सोम के प्रिय रहें एवं शोभन संतान पाकर स्तुतियों का उच्चरण करें. (१४)
EN English Translation
O protector god! Speak sweet words to us. Don't let yourself subdue us, and let the condemners not condemn us. Let us always be dear to Som and receive the glorious children and exalt the praises. (14)
त्वं नः॑ सोम वि॒श्वतो॑ वयो॒धास्त्वं स्व॒र्विदा वि॑शा नृ॒चक्षाः॑ । त्वं न॑ इन्द ऊ॒तिभिः॑ स॒जोषाः॑ पा॒हि प॒श्चाता॑दु॒त वा॑ पु॒रस्ता॑त् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे चारों ओर से अन्न देने वाले, स्वर्ग प्राप्त कराने वाले एवं सब मनुष्यों को देखने वाले सोम! तुम प्रवेश करो. हे इंदु! तुम रक्षासाधनों को साथ लेकर पीछे और आगो से हमारी रक्षा करो. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Som who gives food from all around, who receives heaven, and who sees all men! You enter. Hey Indu! You take the means of protection with you and protect us from the back and forth. (15)
