भ्राजन्त्यग्ने समिधान दीदिवो जिह्वा चरत्यन्तरासनि । स त्वं नो अग्ने पयसा वसुविद्रयिं वर्चो दृशेऽदाः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप चमचमाते हैं. आप का मुख प्रकाशित है. उस मुख में जीभ अग्नि की ज्वाला में डाली गई हवि खाती है. आप धन देने वाले हैं. आप अन्न व रमणीय धन दीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You gleam. Your mouth is published. In that mouth, the tongue eats the havi inserted in the flame of agni. You are going to give money. You give food and delightful money. (1)
वसन्त इन्नु रन्त्यो ग्रीष्म इन्नु रन्त्यः । वर्षाण्यनु शरदो हेमन्तः शिशिर इन्नु रन्त्यः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वसंत ऋतु लुभावनी है. ग्रीष्म ऋतु लुभावनी है. वर्षा, शरद, हेमंत और शिशिर ऋतुएं भी लुभावनी हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Spring is breathtaking. Summer is breathtaking. The rainy, autumn, hemant and shishir seasons are also breathtaking. (2)
सहस्रशीर्षा पुरुषः सहस्राक्षः सहस्रपात् । स भूमिँ सर्वतो वृत्वात्यतिष्ठद्दशाङ्गुलम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूर्ण पुरुष हजारों सिरों वाला है. वह हजारों आंखों वाला है, हजारों पैरों वाला है. वह सारे ब्रह्मांड को घेर सकने में समर्थ है. फिर भी वह बाकी रहता है. (३)
EN English Translation
The full man is with thousands of heads. He is thousands of eyes, thousands of feet. He is capable of encircling the entire universe. Yet he remains. (3)
त्रिपादूर्ध्व उदैत्पुरुषः पदोऽस्येहाभवत्पुनः । तथा विष्वङ् व्यक्रामदशनानशने अभि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूर्ण पुरुष तीन पैरों वाला है. वह ऊंचे स्थान पर वास करता है. इस पूर्ण पुरुष से ही सारा संसार पैदा होता है. चेतन और अचेतन सभी में इसी पूर्ण पुरुष का विस्तार है. यह विविध स्वरूपों वाला है. यह सर्वत्र व्याप्त है. (४)
EN English Translation
The complete man is three legs. He lives in a high place. The whole world is born from this perfect man. The conscious and the unconscious are all the extensions of this perfect man. It has diverse formats. It is everywhere. (4)
पुरुष एवेदँ सर्वं यद्भूतं यच्च भाव्यम् । पादोऽस्य सर्वा भूतानि त्रिपादस्यामृतं दिवि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य तीनों का कर्ता पूर्ण पुरुष ही है. इस के तीन पैर अमर स्वर्गलोक में हैं. इस के शेष चौथे चरण में सारे प्राणी हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The creator of the past, present and future is the complete man. Its three legs are in immortal paradise. The remaining fourth stage of this is all beings. (5)
तावानस्य महिमा ततो ज्यायाँश्च पूरुषः । उतामृतत्वस्येशानो यदन्नेनातिरोहति ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पूर्ण पुरुष जड़चेतन और समस्त पृथ्वी से भी विस्तृत (बड़ा) है. वह अमरता का स्वामी है. अन्न से बढ़ने वाले प्राणियों का भी स्वामी है. (६)
EN English Translation
The whole man is the root conscious and wider than the whole earth. He is the master of immortality. He is also the master of animals growing from food. (6)
ततो विराडजायत विराजो अधि पूरुषः । स जातो अत्यरिच्यत पश्चाद्भूमिमथो पुरः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उस पुरुष से विराट् (ब्रह्मांड) पुरुष उत्पन्न हुआ. उस से अन्य पुरुष उत्पन्न हुए. उस के बाद उस ने पशुपक्षियों और अन्य जीवों को उत्पन्न किया. (७)
EN English Translation
From that man, the universe man was born. Other men were born from it. After that he produced animals and other creatures. (7)
मन्ये वाँ द्यावापृथिवी सुभोजसौ ये अप्रथेथाममितमभि योजनम् । द्यावापृथिवी भवतँ स्योने ते नो मुञ्चतमँहसः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक! आप हमारे पालनहार हैं. हम आप को इसी रूप में जानते हैं. आप हमारा अपार वैभव बढ़ाइए. हे स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक के देवता! आप हमें सुख दीजिए. आप हमें पापों से दूर कीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O paradise and earth! You are our sustainer. That's how we know you. You increase our immense glory. O God of heaven and earth! You give us happiness. You remove us from sins. (8)
हरी त इन्द्र श्मश्रूण्युतो ते हरितौ हरि । तं त्वा स्तुवन्ति कवयः पुरुषासो वनर्गवः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप की दाठ़ीमूंछे हरी हैं. आप के घोड़े भी हरे हैं. आप श्रेष्ठ गोपालक हैं. विद्वान् कविजन आप की स्तुति करते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your teeth are green. Your horses are also green. You are the best gopalak. Learned poets praise you. (9)
यद्वर्चो हिरण्यस्य यद्वा वर्चो गवामुत । सत्यस्य ब्रह्मणो वर्चस्तेन मा सँ सृजामसि ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्वर्ण, गाय और सत्यज्ञान में जो तेजस्विता है, हम उस तेजस्विता को अपने में धारण करना (पाना) चाहते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
We want to hold the brilliance that is there in gold, cow and truth. (10)
सहस्तन्न इन्द्र दद्ध्योज ईशे ह्यस्य महतो विरप्शिन् । क्रतुं न नृम्णँ स्थविरं च वाजं वृत्रेषु शत्रून्त्सुहना कृधी नः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप शत्रु का नाश करने वाले हैं. आप हमें बल प्रदान कीजिए क्योंकि आप महान बल के स्वामी हैं. आप हमारे यज्ञ की स्थिति जैसा धन और सामर्थ्य हमें दीजिए. आप हमें ऐसी शक्ति दीजिए, जिस से हम संग्रामों में अपने दुश्मनों को हरा सकें. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to destroy the enemy. You give us strength because you are the master of great force. You give us the same wealth and strength as the state of our yajna. You give us such power that we can defeat our enemies in the struggles. (11)
सहर्षभाः सहवत्सा उदेत विश्वा रूपाणी बिभ्रतीर्द्व्यूद्नीः । उरुः पृथुरयं वो अस्तु लोक इमा आपः सुप्रपाणा इह स्त ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
कई रंगों वाली, बड़ेबड़े थनों (स्तनों) वाली गौएं, बछड़ों और बैलों के साथ हमें प्राप्त हों. यह पृथ्वीलोक महान व विशाल है. यह आप के निवास योग्य है. आप को यहां सुख से पीने योग्य जल प्राप्त हो. (१२)
EN English Translation
We should get cows with many colors, large breasts, calves and bulls. This earth is great and vast. It is habitable to you. You get potable water here happily. (12)
