अ॒ग्निं ब्रू॑मो॒ वन॒स्पती॒नोष॑धीरु॒त वी॒रुधः॑ । इन्द्रं॒ बृह॒स्पतिं॒ सूर्यं॒ ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम अग्नि की, वनस्पतियों की, जड़ीबूटियों और फसलों की, वृक्षों की, इंद्र की, बृहस्पति की तथा सूर्य की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें सभी पापों से मुक्त करें. (१)
EN English Translation
We praise agni, vegetation, herbs and crops, trees, Indra, Jupiter and sun. May they free us from all sins. (1)
ब्रू॒मो राजा॑नं॒ वरु॑णं मि॒त्रं विष्णु॒मथो॒ भग॑म् । अंशं॒ विव॑स्वन्तं ब्रूम॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (२)

हम तेजस्वी वरुण की, मित्र की, विष्णु की, भग की, अंश और विवस्वान अर्थात् सूर्य की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (२)
EN English Translation
We praise the bright Varuna, the friend, Vishnu, the Bhaga, ansh and vivasvan i.e. the sun. Let them free us from sin. (2)
ब्रू॒मो दे॒वं स॑वि॒तारं॑ धा॒तार॑मु॒त पू॒षण॑म् । त्वष्टा॑रमग्रि॒यं ब्रू॑म॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (३)

हम दानादि गुणों से युक्त सविता, धाता, पूषा, त्वष्टा और अग्नि की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (३)
EN English Translation
We praise Savita, Dhata, Pusha, Tvashta and Agni with danadi qualities. Let them free us from sin. (3)
ग॑न्धर्वाप्स॒रसो॑ ब्रूमो अ॒श्विना॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॑म् । अ॑र्य॒मा नाम॒ यो दे॒वस्ते॑ नो मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (४)

हम प्रथम गिने जाने वाले गंधर्वो की, अप्सराओं की, अश्विनीकुमारों की, त्वष्टा की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (४)
EN English Translation
We praise the Gandharvas, the Apsaras, ashwinikumaras, tvashta, who are counted first. Let them free us from sin. (4)
अ॑होरा॒त्रे इ॒दं ब्रू॑मः सूर्याचन्द्र॒मसा॑वु॒भा । विश्वा॑नादि॒त्यान्ब्रू॑म॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम दिनरात तथा सूर्य चंद्रमा दोनों की स्तुति करते हैं. हम सभी आदित्यों की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (५)
EN English Translation
We praise both day and night and the sun moon. We praise all Adityas. Let them free us from sin. (5)
वातं॑ ब्रूमः प॒र्जन्य॑म॒न्तरि॑क्ष॒मथो॒ दिशः॑ । आशा॑श्च॒ सर्वा॑ ब्रूम॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम वायु की, मेघ की, आकाश की तथा दिशाओं की स्तुति करते हैं. हम सभी विदिशाओं अर्थात् दिशाओं के कोनों की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (६)
EN English Translation
We praise the wind, the cloud, the sky and the directions. We praise all vidishas i.e. corners of directions. Let them free us from sin. (6)
मु॒ञ्चन्तु॑ मा शप॒थ्यादहोरा॒त्रे अथो॑ उ॒षाः । सोमो॑ मा दे॒वो मु॑ञ्चतु॒ यमा॒हुश्च॒न्द्रमा॒ इति॑ ॥ (७)

दिन, रात और उषाएं शपथ से उत्पन्न पाप से हमारी रक्षा करें. वे सोम देव मुझे पाप से मुक्त करें, जिन्हें लोग चंद्रमा कहते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
May the day, night and the morning protect us from the sin caused by the oath. May those Som Devs free me from sin, whom people call the moon. (7)
पार्थि॑वा दि॒व्याः प॒शव॑ आर॒ण्या उ॒त ये मृ॒गाः । श॒कुन्ता॑न्प॒क्षिणो॑ ब्रूम॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम पृथ्वी पर रहने वाले मनुष्यों, देवों, ग्रामीण पशुओं और सिंह आदि जंगली पशुओं की स्तुति करते हैं. हम शकुन बने हुए पक्षियों की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (८)
EN English Translation
We praise the humans, gods, rural animals and wild animals like lions living on earth. We praise the birds that remain shakun. Let them free us from sin. (8)
भ॑वाश॒र्वावि॒दं ब्रू॑मो रु॒द्रं प॑शु॒पति॑श्च॒ यः । इषू॒र्या ए॑षां संवि॒द्म ता नः॑ सन्तु॒ सदा॑ शि॒वाः ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम उन भव, शर्व, रुद्र और पशुपति की स्तुति करते हैं. हम इन देवों के बाणों को जानते हैं. वे सदा हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी हों. (९)
EN English Translation
We praise them Bhava, Sharva, Rudra and Pashupati. We know the arrows of these gods. May they always be welfare for us. (9)
दिवं॑ ब्रूमो॒ नक्ष॑त्राणि॒ भूमिं॑ य॒क्षाणि॒ पर्व॑तान् । स॑मु॒द्रा न॒द्यो वेश॒न्तास्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम स्वर्ग की, नक्षत्रों अर्थात् तारों की, भूमि की, यक्षों और पर्वतों की स्तुति करते हैं. जो सागर, नदियां और सरोवर हैं, वे हमें पाप से बचाएं. (१०)
EN English Translation
We praise heaven, constellations, stars, land, yakshas and mountains. May the oceans, rivers and lakes save us from sin. (10)
सप्त॒र्षीन्वा इ॒दं ब्रू॑मो॒ऽपो दे॒वीः प्र॒जाप॑तिम् । पि॒तॄन्य॒मश्रे॑ष्ठान्ब्रूम॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम उन सप्तर्षियों की, जल देवियों की और प्रजापति की स्तुति करते हैं. हम ऐसे पितरों की स्तुति करते हैं, जिन में यमराज श्रेष्ठ हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (११)
EN English Translation
We praise those Saptarishis, jal goddesses and Prajapati. We praise such ancestors, among whom Yamraj is superior. Let them free us from sin. (11)
ये दे॒वा दि॑वि॒षदो॑ अन्तरिक्ष॒सद॑श्च॒ ये । पृ॑थि॒व्यां श॒क्रा ये श्रि॒तास्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो देव स्वर्ग में निवास करते हैं और अंतरिक्ष अर्थात् धरती और आकाश के मध्य निवास करते हैं, जो देव पृथ्वी पर आश्रित हैं, वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (१२)
EN English Translation
May the gods who reside in heaven and live between space i.e. earth and sky, those who are dependent on earth, may they free us from sin. (12)
आ॑दि॒त्या रु॒द्रा वस॑वो दि॒वि दे॒वा अथ॑र्वाणः । अङ्गि॑रसो मनी॒षिण॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
आदित्य, रुद्र और वसु देव स्वर्ग में निवास करते हैं. जो देव पृथ्वी पर शक्तिशाली हैं, वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. वेद मंत्रों के दृष्टा अंगिरा गोत्रीय ऋषि तथा मनीषी पाप से हमारी रक्षा करें. (१३)
EN English Translation
Aditya, Rudra and Vasu Dev reside in heaven. May the gods who are powerful on earth free us from sin. Angira gotriya rishi and mystics should protect us from sin. (13)
य॒ज्ञं ब्रू॑मो॒ यज॑मान॒मृचः॒ सामा॑नि भेष॒जा । यजूं॑षि॒ होत्रा॑ ब्रूम॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम यज्ञ की, यजमान की, ऋचाओं की, सामवेद के मंत्रों की, यजुर्वेद के मंत्रों तथा इन वेदों में बताई गई ओषधियों एवं होताओं की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (१४)
EN English Translation
We praise yajna, host, richas, mantras of Samaveda, mantras of Yajurveda and the medicines and hotas mentioned in these Vedas. Let them free us from sin. (14)
पञ्च॑ रा॒ज्यानि॑ वी॒रुधां॒ सोम॑श्रेष्ठानि ब्रूमः । द॒र्भो भ॒ङ्गो यवः॒ सह॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
फल पकने पर उन्नत होने वाली जड़ीबूटियों और फसलों में जो पांच श्रेष्ठ हैं और इन के राजा हैं, हम उन की स्तुति करते हैं. दर्भ भाग, जौ और सह नाम की विशेष ओषधि की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (१५)
EN English Translation
We praise the five best herbs and crops that grow when the fruit ripens and are the kings of them. The darbha part praises a special medicine named barley and co-name. Let them free us from sin. (15)
अ॒राया॑न्ब्रूमो॒ रक्षां॑सि स॒र्पान्पु॑ण्यज॒नान्पि॒तॄन् । मृ॒त्यूनेक॑शतं ब्रूम॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम दान के प्रतिबंधक हिंसकों, राक्षसों, सर्पो, यातुधानों और पितरों की स्तुति करते हैं. मैं एक से एक मृत्युओं की स्तुति करता हूं. वे मुझे पाप से मुक्त करें. (१६)
EN English Translation
We praise the banned violent, demons, serpents, yatudhans and ancestors of charity. I praise one death after another. May they free me from sin. (16)
ऋ॒तून्ब्रू॑म ऋतु॒पती॑नार्त॒वानु॒त हा॑य॒नान् । समाः॑ संवत्स॒रान्मासां॒स्ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम ऋतुओं की, ऋतुओं के स्वामियों की, ऋतुओं से संबंधित पदार्थो की, अर्थात् चंद्र वर्षो की, सूर्य वर्षो की, सवंत्सरों की तथा मासों की स्तुति करते हैं. वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (१७)
EN English Translation
We praise the seasons, the owners of the seasons, the substances related to the seasons, that is, the lunar years, the sun years, the saints and the months. Let them free us from sin. (17)
एत॑ देवा दक्षिण॒तः प॒श्चात्प्राञ्च॑ उ॒देत॑ । पु॒रस्ता॑दुत्त॒राच्छ॒क्रा विश्वे॑ दे॒वाः स॒मेत्य॒ ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दक्षिण दिशा में स्थित देवो! तुम आओ. चारों दिशाओं में स्थित सभी देव यहां यज्ञ में आ कर हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (१८)
EN English Translation
O God in the south direction! You come. May all the gods located in all the four directions come here in the yagna and free us from sin. (18)
विश्वा॑न्दे॒वानि॒दं ब्रू॑मः स॒त्यसं॑धानृता॒वृधः॑ । विश्वा॑भिः॒ पत्नी॑भिः स॒ह ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम सच्ची प्रतिज्ञा वाले, सत्य अथवा यज्ञ की वृद्धि करने वाले सभी देवों की स्तुति करते हैं. वे अपनी पत्नियों के साथ यहां हमारे यज्ञ में आएं और हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (१९)
EN English Translation
We praise all the gods who have true promises, who increase the truth or yajna. They should come here with their wives to our yagna and free us from sin. (19)
सर्वा॑न्दे॒वानि॒दं ब्रू॑मः स॒त्यसं॑धानृता॒वृधः॑ । सर्वा॑भिः॒ पत्नी॑भिः स॒ह ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम कहे गए और न कहे गए सच्ची प्रतिज्ञा वाले और यज्ञ अथवा सत्य की रक्षा करने वाले सभी देवों की स्तुति करते हैं. वे सभी अपनी पत्नियों के साथ आएं और हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (२०)
EN English Translation
We praise all the gods who have said and have not been said and who protect the truth or sacrifice or truth. May they all come with their wives and free us from sin. (20)
भू॒तं ब्रू॑मो भूत॒पतिं॑ भू॒ताना॑मु॒त यो व॒शी । भू॒तानि॒ सर्वा॑ सं॒गत्य॒ ते नो॑ मुञ्च॒न्त्वंह॑सः ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम भूत की, भूतों के स्वामी की तथा भूतों को वश में करने वाले की स्तुति करते हैं. सभी भूत मिल कर हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (२१)
EN English Translation
We praise the ghost, the swami of the ghosts and the one who subdues the ghosts. May all the ghosts come together and free us from sin. (21)
या दे॒वीः पञ्च॑ प्र॒दिशो॒ ये दे॒वा द्वाद॑श॒र्तवः॑ । सं॑वत्स॒रस्य॒ ये दंष्ट्रा॒स्ते नः॑ सन्तु॒ सदा॑ शि॒वाः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पांच प्रधान दिशाओं की जो देवियां हैं तथा बारह मासों के स्वामी जो देव हैं और स्वतंत्र रूप प्रजापति की जो दाढ़ें अर्थात् पक्ष, सप्ताह आदि हैं, वे हमें पाप से मुक्त करें. (२२)
EN English Translation
May the goddesses of the five principal directions and the swami of twelve months who are gods and independently the molars of Prajapati i.e. Paksha, Week etc., free us from sin. (22)
यन्मात॑ली रथक्री॒तम॒मृतं॒ वेद॑ भेष॒जम् । तदिन्द्रो॑ अ॒प्सु प्रावे॑शय॒त्तदा॑पो दत्त भेष॒जम् ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र का सारथी मातलि रथ के बदले में खरीदी हुई मृत्यु का नाश करने वाली ओषधि को जानता है. इंद्र ने उस ओषधि को जल में डुबा दिया है. जल हमें वह ओषधि प्रदान करे (२३)
EN English Translation
Indra's charioteer knows the medicine that destroys death bought in exchange for the Matali ratha. Indra has drowned that medicine in water. May water give us that medicine (23)
