एन्द्र॑ नो गधि प्रि॒यः स॑त्रा॒जिदगो॑ह्यः । गि॒रिर्न वि॒श्वत॑स्पृ॒थुः पति॑र्दि॒वः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सत्य के द्वारा विजय प्राप्त करने वाले इंद्र! तुम हमारे प्रिय हो. कोई भी तुम्हें ढक नहीं सकता. तुम स्वर्ग के स्वामी हो और तुम्हारा विस्तार स्वर्ग के समान है. तुम हमें अपने प्रिय के रूप में स्वीकार करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra who conquered through truth! You are our darling. No one can cover you. You are the swami of heaven and your expansion is like heaven. You accept us as your beloved. (1)
अ॒भि हि स॑त्य सोमपा उ॒भे ब॒भूथ॒ रोद॑सी । इन्द्रासि॑ सुन्व॒तो वृ॒धः पति॑र्दि॒वः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम यज्ञ में सब के सामने आ कर सोमरस पीते हो तथा आकाश और पृथ्वी दोनों में ही प्रकट होते हो. तुम स्वर्ग के स्वामी हो. जो तुम्हारे लिए सोमरस निचोड़ता है, तुम उस की वृद्धि करते हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You come in front of everyone in the yajna and drink someras and appear in both the sky and the earth. You are the swami of heaven. Whoever squeezes somerus for you, you increase that. (2)
त्वं हि शश्व॑तीना॒मिन्द्र॑ द॒र्ता पु॒रामसि॑ । ह॒न्ता दस्यो॒र्मनो॑र्वृ॒धः पति॑र्दि॒वः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम ने असुरों को मारा और उन के दृढ़ नगरों का विनाश किया है. तुम स्वर्ग के स्वामी हो और मनुष्यों की वृद्धि करते हो. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have killed the asuras and destroyed their strong cities. You are the master of heaven and grow human beings. (3)
एदु॒ मध्वो॑ म॒दिन्त॑रं सि॒ञ्च वा॑ध्वर्यो॒ अन्ध॑सः । ए॒वा हि वी॒र स्तव॑ते स॒दावृ॑धः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युजनो! शहद से भी अधिक मीठे अन्न से इंद्र को तृप्त करो. ये इंद्र सदा यजमान की वृद्धि करते हुए स्तुतियां स्वीकार करते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Adhwaryujano! Satisfy Indra with sweeter food than honey. This Indra always accepts praises while increasing the host. (4)
इन्द्र॑ स्थातर्हरीणां॒ नकि॑ष्टे पू॒र्व्यस्तु॑तिम् । उदा॑नंश॒ शव॑सा॒ न भ॒न्दना॑ ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे हरे रंग के अथवा हरि नाम वाले घोड़ों पर सवार होने वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारे पूर्व कर्म के बलों और कल्याणों की कोई समानता नहीं कर सकता. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra who rides on horses with green or hari name! No one can equate the forces and welfare of your past karma. (5)
तं वो॒ वाजा॑नां॒ पति॒महू॑महि श्रव॒स्यवः॑ । अप्रा॑युभिर्य॒ज्ञेभि॑र्वावृ॒धेन्य॑म् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अन्न की कामना वाले हम अन्न के स्वामी इंद्र को अपने यज्ञ में बुलाते हैं. जिन यज्ञों का अनुष्ठान विधिपूर्वक किया जाता है. उन से इंद्र की सदा वृद्धि होती है. (६)
EN English Translation
With the desire for food, we call Indra, the swami of food, in our yagna. The yajnas whose rituals are performed methodically. Indra always grows from them. (6)
