आ॒वत॑स्त आ॒वतः॑ परा॒वत॑स्त आ॒वतः॑ । इ॒हैव भ॑व॒ मा नु गा॒ मा पूर्वा॒ननु॑ गाः पि॒तॄनसुं॑ बध्नामि ते दृ॒ढम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं समीप के देश से और दूर के देश से तेरे प्राणों को दृढ़ता से बांधता हूं. तू यहीं रह और अपने पूर्ववर्ती पितरों का अनुकरण मत कर. (१)
EN English Translation
I bind your life firmly from the nearest country and from the distant country. You stay here and don't follow your previous ancestors. (1)
यत्त्वा॑भिचे॒रुः पुरु॑षः॒ स्वो यदर॑णो॒ जनः॑ । उ॑न्मोचनप्रमोच॒ने उ॒भे वा॒चा व॑दामि ते ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पितृऋण को न चुकाने वाले जिस पुरुष ने तुझ पर अधिकार किया है, मैं उस से छूटने का उपाय अपने मंत्र बल से तुझे बताता हूं. (२)
EN English Translation
I tell you with my mantra the way to get rid of the man who has not repaid the father's debt over you. (2)
यद्दु॒द्रोहि॑थ शेपि॒षे स्त्रि॒यै पुं॒से अचि॑त्त्या । उ॑न्मोचनप्रमोच॒ने उ॒भे वा॒चा व॑दामि ते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वूने जिस स्त्री अथवा पुरुष के प्रति वैरभाव रखते हुए इस पापपूर्ण अभिचार का प्रयोग किया है, मैं तुझे उस से मुक्त करने से संबंधित बात बताता हूं. (३)
EN English Translation
I tell you about freeing you from the woman or man whom you have used this sinful act with enmity. (3)
यदेन॑सो मा॒तृकृ॑ता॒च्छेषे॑ पि॒तृकृ॑ताच्च॒ यत् । उ॑न्मोचनप्रमोच॒ने उ॒भे वा॒चा व॑दामि ते ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तू अपने पिता अथवा माता द्वारा किए गए पाप के कारण रोगी हो कर शय्या पर पड़ा है. मैं अपनी वाणी से उस रोग से उन्मोचन और प्रमोचन की बात तुझे बताता हूं. (४)
EN English Translation
You are sick and lying on the bed because of the sin committed by your father or mother. I tell you with my voice about the removal and release from that disease. (4)
यत्ते॑ मा॒ता यत्ते॑ पि॒ता जा॒मिर्भ्राता॑ च॒ सर्ज॑तः । प्र॒त्यक्से॑वस्व भेष॒जं ज॒रद॑ष्टिं कृणोमि त्वा ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तेरी माता, तेरे पिता, तेरे भाई अथवा तेरी बहन ने जिस मंत्र अथवा ओषधि का प्रयोग तेरे लिए निश्चित किया है, उसे भली प्रकार से सेवन कर. मैं तुझे वृद्धावस्था तक जीवित रहने वाला बनाता हूं. (५)
EN English Translation
Take the mantra or medicine that your mother, your father, your brother or your sister has decided to use for you. I make you live to old age. (5)
इ॒हैधि॑ पुरुष॒ सर्वे॑ण॒ मन॑सा स॒ह । दू॒तौ य॒मस्य॒ मानु॑ गा॒ अधि॑ जीवपु॒रा इ॑हि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पुरुष! तू यमराज के दूतों का अनुकरण मत कर अर्थात् मर मत. तू अपने समस्त परिवार जनों के साथ यहां जीवित रह. (६)
EN English Translation
O man! Do not follow the messengers of Yamraj, that is, do not die. You live here with all your family members. (6)
अनु॑हूतः॒ पुन॒रेहि॑ वि॒द्वानु॒दय॑नं प॒थः । आ॒रोह॑णमा॒क्रम॑णं॒ जीव॑तोजीव॒तोऽय॑नम् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तू उदय होने के मार्ग को जानने वाला है और इस यज्ञ कर्म के द्वारा बुलाया गया है. उत्तरायण एवं दक्षिणायन तेरे जीवन में ही व्यतीत हों. (७)
EN English Translation
You are going to know the path of rise and have been called by this sacrificial deed. May Uttarayan and Dakshinayan be spent in your life. (7)
मा बि॑भे॒र्न म॑रिष्यसि ज॒रद॑ष्टिं कृणोमि त्वा । निर॑वोचम॒हं यक्ष्म॒मङ्गे॑भ्यो अङ्गज्व॒रं तव॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगी! तू भय त्याग दे, क्योंकि तू मरेगा नहीं. मैं तुझे वृद्धावस्था तक इस लोक में रहने योग्य बनाता हूं. तेरे शरीर में से यक्ष्मा रोग और अस्थिगत ज्वर दूर हो चुका है. (८)
EN English Translation
O patient! Give up fear, for you will not die. I enable you to live in this world till your old age. Tuberculosis and bone fever have been removed from your body. (8)
अ॑ङ्गभे॒दो अ॑ङ्गज्व॒रो यश्च॑ ते हृदयाम॒यः । यक्ष्मः॑ श्ये॒न इ॑व॒ प्राप॑प्तद्व॒चा सा॒ढः प॑रस्त॒राम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तेरे शरीर में व्याप्त ज्वर, तेरा हृदय रोग एवं यक्ष्मा रोग_ये सभी मेरे मंत्र रूपी बाणों से तिरस्कृत हो कर उड़ने वाले बाज पक्षी के समान दूर जा कर गिरे हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
The fever in your body, your heart disease and tuberculosis disease have all fallen away like a flying eagle bird, despised by the arrows of my mantra. (9)
ऋषी॑ बोधप्रतीबो॒धाव॑स्व॒प्नो यश्च॒ जागृ॑विः । तौ ते॑ प्रा॒णस्य॑ गो॒प्तारौ॒ दिवा॒ नक्तं॑ च जागृताम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो बोध, प्रतिबोध, स्वप्र और जागृति नामक तेरे प्राणरक्षक ऋषि हैं, वे रातदिन जागते रहें, (१०)
EN English Translation
May those who are your life-saving sages, called realization, remembrance, self-realization, and awakening, stay awake day and night, (10)
अ॒यम॒ग्निरु॑प॒सद्य॑ इ॒ह सूर्य॒ उदे॑तु ते । उ॒देहि॑ मृ॒त्योर्ग॑म्भी॒रात्कृ॒ष्णाच्चि॒त्तम॑स॒स्परि॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह अग्नि समीप रहने योग्य है. तेरे लिए सूर्य इसी लोक में उदय हो. तू गहरी, काली और अंधकारपूर्ण मृत्यु से निकल कर जीवन को प्राप्त हो. (११)
EN English Translation
This agni is habitable nearby. For you, let the sun rise in this world. Come out of deep, dark and dark death and attain life. (11)
नमो॑ य॒माय॒ नमो॑ अस्तु मृ॒त्यवे॒ नमः॑ पि॒तृभ्य॑ उ॒त ये नय॑न्ति । उ॒त्पार॑णस्य॒ यो वेद॒ तम॒ग्निं पु॒रो द॑धे॒ऽस्मा अ॑रि॒ष्टता॑तये ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यमराज के लिए नमस्कार है. मृत्यु के लिए नमस्कार है. पितरों के लिए नमस्कार है. ये तुझे ले जाने वाले हैं. जो अग्नि शरीर के पारण की विधि जानते हैं, वे तेरे कल्याण के लिए आए हैं. मैं तुझे स्थापित करता हूं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Salutations to Yamraj. Hello to death. Salutations to the ancestors. They're going to take you. Those who know the method of passing the agni body have come for your welfare. I install you. (12)
ऐतु॑ प्रा॒ण ऐतु॒ मन॒ ऐतु॒ चक्षु॒रथो॒ बल॑म् । शरी॑रमस्य॒ सम्वि॑दां॒ तत्प॒द्भ्यां प्रति॑ तिष्ठतु ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इस पुरुष को प्राण, नेत्र और बल प्राप्त हों. मैं ने इस के शरीर को मंत्र शक्ति के द्वारा प्राण युक्त किया है. वह अपने पैरों पर खड़ा हो जाए. (१३)
EN English Translation
May this man get life, eyes and strength. I have enriched the body of this prana through mantra power. Let him stand on his feet. (13)
प्रा॒णेना॑ग्ने॒ चक्षु॑षा॒ सं सृ॑जे॒मं समी॑रय त॒न्वा॒ सं बले॑न । वेत्था॒मृत॑स्य॒ मा नु गा॒न्मा नु भूमि॑गृहो भुवत् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम इस पुरुष को प्राण और चक्षु से युक्त करो तथा इस के शरीर में बल भर दो. तुम अमृत के जानने वाले हो. यह इस लोक से प्रस्थान न करे और श्मशान इस का घर न बने. (१४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You equip this man with life and eyes and fill his body with force. You are the knower of nectar. It should not depart from this world and the crematorium should not become its home. (14)
मा ते॑ प्रा॒ण उप॑ दस॒न्मो अ॑पा॒नोऽपि॑ धायि ते । सूर्य॒स्त्वाधि॑पतिर्मृ॒त्योरु॒दाय॑च्छतु र॒श्मिभिः॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रोगी! तेरे प्राणों का क्षय न हो तथा तेरी अपान वायु भी तेरा त्याग न करे. सूर्य अपनी किरणों द्वारा मृत्यु शय्या पर पड़े हुए तुझे उस से उठा दें. (१५)
EN English Translation
O patient! Let your life not decay and your own air should not forsake you. May the sun lift you from it while lying on the death bed with its rays. (15)
इ॒यम॒न्तर्व॑दति जि॒ह्वा ब॒द्धा प॑निष्प॒दा । त्वया॒ यक्ष्मं निर॑वोचं श॒तं रोपी॑श्च त॒क्मनः॑ ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
भीतर से हिलती हुई और मुख में बांधी हुई मेरी जीभ कहती है कि तुझे यक्ष्मा रोग ने त्याग दिया है और तेरे ऊपर ज्वर का आक्रमण शांत हो गया है. (१६)
EN English Translation
My tongue, shaking from within and tied in my mouth, says that you have been abandoned by tuberculosis and the attack of fever on you has calmed down. (16)
अ॒यं लो॒कः प्रि॒यत॑मो दे॒वाना॒मप॑राजितः । यस्मै॒ त्वमि॒ह मृ॒त्यवे॑ दि॒ष्टः पु॑रुष जज्ञि॒षे । स च॒ त्वानु॑ ह्वयामसि॒ मा पु॒रा ज॒रसो॑ मृथाः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह पराजित न होने वाला मृत्युलोक देवों को भी प्रिय है. इस लोक में तूने मृत्यु के लिए ही जन्म लिया है. वह मृत्यु तेरा आह्वान करती है. तू वृद्धावस्था से पहले मृत्यु को प्राप्त न हो. (१७)
EN English Translation
It is also dear to the gods of death that are not defeated. In this world, you have been born for death. That death invokes you. You should not die before old age. (17)
