इ॒मामू॒ षु प्रभृ॑तिं सा॒तये॑ धाः॒ शश्व॑च्छश्वदू॒तिभि॒र्याद॑मानः । सु॒तेसु॑ते वावृधे॒ वर्ध॑नेभि॒र्यः कर्म॑भिर्म॒हद्भिः॒ सुश्रु॑तो॒ भूत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! मरुतों के साथ सदा सर्वदा संगति की याचना करते हुए हमारे धनलाभ के लिए आकर इस सोम को सफल बनाओ. अपने महान् कमो के कारण प्रसिद्ध इंद्र सोम निचोड़ने के प्रत्येक अवसर पर वृद्धिकारक हव्यों द्वारा बढ़े हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Always praying for fellowship with the maruts, come for our wealth and make this mon a success. Due to his great commo, the famous Indra Soma has been increased by the incremental human beings on every occasion of squeezing. (1)
इन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमाः॑ प्र॒दिवो॒ विदा॑ना ऋ॒भुर्येभि॒र्वृष॑पर्वा॒ विहा॑याः । प्र॒य॒म्यमा॑ना॒न्प्रति॒ षू गृ॑भा॒येन्द्र॒ पिब॒ वृष॑धूतस्य॒ वृष्णः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
प्राचीनकाल में इंद्र के लिए सोमरस दिया गया था. उसके कारण वह समान रूप, तेजस्वी एवं महान् हुए थे. वे इंद्र! इस दिए हुए सोम को ग्रहण करो एवं पत्थरों द्वारा निचोड़े गए तथा स्वर्गादि फल देने वाले सोम को पिओ. (२)
EN English Translation
In ancient times Somras was given to Indra. Because of that, he became equally, brilliant and great. They are Indra! Take this given mon and drink the som that has been squeezed by stones and bears heavenly fruit. (2)
पिबा॒ वर्ध॑स्व॒ तव॑ घा सु॒तास॒ इन्द्र॒ सोमा॑सः प्रथ॒मा उ॒तेमे । यथापि॑बः पू॒र्व्याँ इ॑न्द्र॒ सोमा॑ँ ए॒वा पा॑हि॒ पन्यो॑ अ॒द्या नवी॑यान् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! ये नवीन तथा प्राचीन सोम तुम्हारे लिए निचोड़े गए हैं. इन्हें पिओ और बलवान् बनो. हे स्तुति योग्य एवं अभिनव इंद्र! जिस प्रकार तुमने पूर्ववर्ती सोम का पान किया था, उसी प्रकार इस नवीन सोम को पिओ. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! These new and ancient mons have been squeezed for you. Drink them and be strong. O praiseworthy and innovative Indra! Just as you drank the previous mon, drink this new mon. (3)
म॒हाँ अम॑त्रो वृ॒जने॑ विर॒प्श्यु१॒॑ग्रं शवः॑ पत्यते धृ॒ष्ण्वोजः॑ । नाह॑ विव्याच पृथि॒वी च॒नैनं॒ यत्सोमा॑सो॒ हर्य॑श्व॒मम॑न्दन् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान् युद्ध में शत्रुओं को ललकारने वाले एवं शत्रुपराभवकारी इंद्र का उग्र बल तथा पराक्रमपूर्ण ओज सब जगह फैलता है. जब हरि नामक अश्वों वाले इंद्र को सोमरस प्रसन्न करता है, उस समय धरती और आकाश कोई भी इंद्र को व्याप्त नहीं कर पाते. (४)
EN English Translation
In the Great War, the fierce force and mighty power of Indra, who challenges the enemies and the enemy, spreads everywhere. When someras please Indra with horses called Hari, at that time the earth and the sky are not able to cover any Indra. (4)
म॒हाँ उ॒ग्रो वा॑वृधे वी॒र्या॑य स॒माच॑क्रे वृष॒भः काव्ये॑न । इन्द्रो॒ भगो॑ वाज॒दा अ॑स्य॒ गावः॒ प्र जा॑यन्ते॒ दक्षि॑णा अस्य पू॒र्वीः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बलवान् शत्रुओं को भयंकर, कामवर्षक एवं सेवनीय इंद्र वीरता दिखाने के लिए बढ़ते हैं एवं स्तोत्र के साथ मिल जाते हैं. इंद्र की गाएं दुधारू हैं तथा संख्या में बहुत हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
The fierce, workable and inconsolable Indra to the enemies grows up to show valour and gets mixed with the hymns. Indra's cows are milch and are many in number. (5)
प्र यत्सिन्ध॑वः प्रस॒वं यथाय॒न्नापः॑ समु॒द्रं र॒थ्ये॑व जग्मुः । अत॑श्चि॒दिन्द्रः॒ सद॑सो॒ वरी॑या॒न्यदीं॒ सोमः॑ पृ॒णति॑ दु॒ग्धो अं॒शुः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस समय कामनापूर्ण नदियां अति दूरवर्ती समुद्र की ओर दौड़ती हैं, उसी समय जल रथ में बैठे लोगों के समान चलता है. इसी प्रकार अत्यंत श्रेष्ठ इंद्र लताओं से निचोड़े गए लघुरूप सोम की ओर अंतरिक्ष से दौड़े आते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
At the same time as the desiring rivers run towards the most distant sea, the water moves like the people sitting in the chariot. Similarly, the finest Indras, squeezed from the vines, come running from space towards the minirupa som. (6)
स॒मु॒द्रेण॒ सिन्ध॑वो॒ याद॑माना॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमं॒ सुषु॑तं॒ भर॑न्तः । अं॒शुं दु॑हन्ति ह॒स्तिनो॑ भ॒रित्रै॒र्मध्वः॑ पुनन्ति॒ धार॑या प॒वित्रैः॑ ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस प्रकार समुद्र से मिलने की इच्छा रखने वाली नदियां समुद्र को भरती हैं, उसी प्रकार अध्वर्युगण तुझ इंद्र के निमित्त निचोड़े गए सोम को तैयार करते हुए लताओं को निचोड़ते हैं तथा सोम की धारा से पवित्र भुजाओं द्वारा सोमरस को बनाते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Just as the rivers that desire to meet the sea fill the sea, so the Adhwaryugans squeeze the vines, preparing the soma squeezed for the sake of your Indra and make the somras through the sacred arms from the stream of soma. (7)
ह्र॒दा इ॑व कु॒क्षयः॑ सोम॒धानाः॒ समी॑ विव्याच॒ सव॑ना पु॒रूणि॑ । अन्ना॒ यदिन्द्रः॑ प्रथ॒मा व्याश॑ वृ॒त्रं ज॑घ॒न्वाँ अ॑वृणीत॒ सोम॑म् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जैसे तालाब में जल भरता है, उसी प्रकार इंद्र के पेट में सोम समा जाता है. इंद्र एक साथ बहुत से यज्ञों में उपस्थित रहते हैं. इंद्र ने पहले तो सोम का भक्षण किया, उसके बाद माध्यंदिन सवन में देवों के लिए उनका भाग बांट दिया. (८)
EN English Translation
Just as the pond is filled with water, so does the som in Indra's stomach. Indra is present in many yagnas at once. Indra first devoured Som, then distributed his share to the devas in the median savan. (8)
आ तू भ॑र॒ माकि॑रे॒तत्परि॑ ष्ठाद्वि॒द्मा हि त्वा॒ वसु॑पतिं॒ वसू॑नाम् । इन्द्र॒ यत्ते॒ माहि॑नं॒ दत्र॒मस्त्य॒स्मभ्यं॒ तद्ध॑र्यश्व॒ प्र य॑न्धि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमें जल्दी से धन दो. तुम्हें धन देने से कौन रोक सकता है? हम जानते हैं कि तुम उत्तम धनों के स्वामी हो. हे हरि नामक घोड़ों वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारे पास जो महान् धन है, वह हमें दो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Give us money quickly. Who can stop you from giving money? We know that you are the master of the best riches. O Indra with horses called Hari! Give us the great wealth you have. (9)
अ॒स्मे प्र य॑न्धि मघवन्नृजीषि॒न्निन्द्र॑ रा॒यो वि॒श्ववा॑रस्य॒ भूरेः॑ । अ॒स्मे श॒तं श॒रदो॑ जी॒वसे॑ धा अ॒स्मे वी॒राञ्छश्व॑त इन्द्र शिप्रिन् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मघवा एवं ऋजीषी इंद्र! हमें वरणयोग्य बहुत सा धन दो एवं जीने के लिए सौ वर्ष का समय प्रदान करो. हे सुंदर ठोड़ी वाले इंद्र! हमें बहुत से वीर पुत्र दो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Maghwa and Sage Indra! Give us a lot of money that is worth choosing and give us a hundred years to live. O beautiful chin Indra! Give us many heroic sons. (10)
शु॒नं हु॑वेम म॒घवा॑न॒मिन्द्र॑म॒स्मिन्भरे॒ नृत॑मं॒ वाज॑सातौ । शृ॒ण्वन्त॑मु॒ग्रमू॒तये॑ स॒मत्सु॒ घ्नन्तं॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ सं॒जितं॒ धना॑नाम् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धनप्राप्ति वाले संग्राम में उत्साहपूर्ण, धनवान्, सकल विश्व के नेता, स्तुतियां सुनने वाले शत्रुओं के लिए भयंकर, युद्ध में राक्षसविनाशकारी एवं शत्रुओं के धन के विजेता इंद्र को हम रक्षा के लिए बुलाते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
We call Indra, who is enthusiastic, rich, leader of the whole world, fierce for the enemies who hear praises, demon destroyer in war and winner of enemies' wealth. (11)
