प्रय॑ज्यवो म॒रुतो॒ भ्राज॑दृष्टयो बृ॒हद्वयो॑ दधिरे रु॒क्मव॑क्षसः । ईय॑न्ते॒ अश्वैः॑ सु॒यमे॑भिरा॒शुभिः॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अतिशय यज्ञपात्र, प्रकाशित आयुधों वाले एवं सीने पर सोने के हार पहनने वाले मरुद्गण अधिक अन्न धारण करते हैं. वे सरलता से वश में होने योग्य एवं तीव्रगति वाले अश्चों द्वारा वहन किए जाते हैं. मरुतों के रथ जल के पीछे चलते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The birds who wear atishya yajnapatra, illuminated weapons and wear gold necklaces on the chest wear more food. They are carried by easily controllable and fast moving horses. The chariots of the Maruts run behind the water. (1)
स्व॒यं द॑धिध्वे॒ तवि॑षीं॒ यथा॑ वि॒द बृ॒हन्म॑हान्त उर्वि॒या वि रा॑जथ । उ॒तान्तरि॑क्षं ममिरे॒ व्योज॑सा॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम्हारे ज्ञान की सामर्थ्य असीमित है. तुम स्वयं ही शक्ति धारण करते हो. हे महान् मरुतो! तुम विस्तृतरूप से सुशोभित बनो एवं अपने तेज से आकाश को भर दो. मरुतों के रथ जल के पीछे चलते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! The power of your knowledge is unlimited. You own the power. O great Maruto! Be widely beautified and fill the sky with your brightness. The chariots of the maruts walk behind the water. (2)
सा॒कं जा॒ताः सु॒भ्वः॑ सा॒कमु॑क्षि॒ताः श्रि॒ये चि॒दा प्र॑त॒रं वा॑वृधु॒र्नरः॑ । वि॒रो॒किणः॒ सूर्य॑स्येव र॒श्मयः॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
एक साथ उत्पन्न होने वाले महान् मरुत् एक साथ ही वर्षा करते हैं. वे शोभा पाने के लिए अतिशय प्रवृद्ध हुए हैं. वे सूर्यकिरणों के समान यागादि कर्मों के उत्तम नेता हैं. पानी की ओर चलने वाले मरुतों के रथ सबसे पीछे रहते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
The great deserts that arise together rain simultaneously. They are very much inclined to beautify. He is the perfect leader of the Yagadi deeds like the Suryakirans. The chariots of the maruts moving towards the water remain at the back. (3)
आ॒भू॒षेण्यं॑ वो मरुतो महित्व॒नं दि॑दृ॒क्षेण्यं॒ सूर्य॑स्येव॒ चक्ष॑णम् । उ॒तो अ॒स्माँ अ॑मृत॒त्वे द॑धातन॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम्हारी महत्ता प्रशंसनीय है एवं रूप सूर्य के समान सुंदर है. तुम हमें मरणरहित बनाओ. जल की ओर जाने वाले मरुतों का रथ सबसे पीछे चलता है. (४)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! Your importance is admirable and the appearance is as beautiful as the sun. You make us deathless. The chariot of the maruts going towards the water runs behind the back. (4)
उदी॑रयथा मरुतः समुद्र॒तो यू॒यं वृ॒ष्टिं व॑र्षयथा पुरीषिणः । न वो॑ दस्रा॒ उप॑ दस्यन्ति धे॒नवः॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जलयुक्त मरुतो! तुम अंतरिक्ष से जल को प्रेरित करके वर्षा करो. हे शत्रुनाशक मरुतो! तुम्हारे प्रसन्न करने वाले बादल कभी जलरहित नहीं होते. जल की ओर जाने वाले मरुतों का रथ सबसे पीछे चलता है. (५)
EN English Translation
O watery Maruto! You rain by inducing water from space. O you who are the enemy, Maruto! The clouds that please you are never waterless. The chariot of the maruts going towards the water runs behind the back. (5)
यदश्वा॑न्धू॒र्षु पृष॑ती॒रयु॑ग्ध्वं हिर॒ण्यया॒न्प्रत्यत्का॒ँ अमु॑ग्ध्वम् । विश्वा॒ इत्स्पृधो॑ मरुतो॒ व्य॑स्यथ॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! जब तुम रथों के अग्रभाग में बुंदकियों वाली घोड़ियों को जोड़ते हो, तब सोने के बने कवचों को उतार देते हो. तुम सभी संग्रामो में विजय प्राप्त करते हो. जल की ओर जाने वाले मरुतों का रथ सबसे पीछे चलता है. (६)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! When you add horses with bunches to the front of the chariots, you remove the gold armor. You win in all the battles. The chariot of the maruts going towards the water runs behind the back. (6)
न पर्व॑ता॒ न न॒द्यो॑ वरन्त वो॒ यत्राचि॑ध्वं मरुतो॒ गच्छ॒थेदु॒ तत् । उ॒त द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी या॑थना॒ परि॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! नदियां अथवा पहाड़ तुम्हें रोकने में समर्थ नहीं हैं. तुम जहां जाना चाहते हो, वहां अवश्य पहुंच जाते हो. वर्षा करने के लिए तुम धरती-आकाश में फैल जाते हो. जल की ओर जाने वाले मरुतों का रथ सबसे पीछे चलता है. (७)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! Rivers or mountains are not able to stop you. You must get to where you want to go. To rain, you spread out in the earth and the sky. The chariot of the maruts going towards the water runs behind the back. (7)
यत्पू॒र्व्यं म॑रुतो॒ यच्च॒ नूत॑नं॒ यदु॒द्यते॑ वसवो॒ यच्च॑ श॒स्यते॑ । विश्व॑स्य॒ तस्य॑ भवथा॒ नवे॑दसः॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे निवासस्थान देने वाले मरुतो! प्राचीन काल में जो यज्ञ किए गए अथवा वर्तमान काल में किए जा रहे हैं, जो कुछ प्रार्थना या स्तुति की जाती है, तुम उस सबको भली-भांति जानो. जल की ओर जाने वाले मरुतों का रथ सबसे पीछे चलता है. (८)
EN English Translation
O Maruto, the abode- giver! Know well all that yajnas were performed in ancient times or are being performed in the present tense, whatever prayers or praises are offered. The chariot of the maruts going towards the water runs behind the back. (8)
मृ॒ळत॑ नो मरुतो॒ मा व॑धिष्टना॒स्मभ्यं॒ शर्म॑ बहु॒लं वि य॑न्तन । अधि॑ स्तो॒त्रस्य॑ स॒ख्यस्य॑ गातन॒ शुभं॑ या॒तामनु॒ रथा॑ अवृत्सत ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! हमें सुखी बनाओ. हमें कोप से नष्ट मत करो, अपितु हमारे सुख का विस्तार करो. हमारी स्तुति सुनकर तुम हमारे प्रति मित्रता का भाव बनाओ. पानी की ओर चलने वाले मरुतों का रथ सबसे पीछे रहता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! Make us happy. Don't destroy us with wrath, but expand our happiness. By listening to our praise, make you a sense of friendship towards us. The chariot of the maruts walking towards the water remains at the back. (9)
यू॒यम॒स्मान्न॑यत॒ वस्यो॒ अच्छा॒ निरं॑ह॒तिभ्यो॑ मरुतो गृणा॒नाः । जु॒षध्वं॑ नो ह॒व्यदा॑तिं यजत्रा व॒यं स्या॑म॒ पत॑यो रयी॒णाम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतो! तुम हमें ऐश्वर्य के समीप ले आओ एवं हमारी स्तुतियों से प्रसन्न होकर हमें पाप से दूर करो. हे यज्ञपात्र मरुतो! तुम हमारा दिया हुआ हव्य स्वीकार करो. हम लोग विविध संपत्तियों के स्वामी बनें. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Maruto! Bring us near to glory and be pleased with our praises, and remove us from sin. O Yagyapatra Maruto! You accept our given gesture. We become the owners of diverse properties. (10)
