अ॒ग्निरु॒क्थे पु॒रोहि॑तो॒ ग्रावा॑णो ब॒र्हिर॑ध्व॒रे । ऋ॒चा या॑मि म॒रुतो॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिं॑ दे॒वाँ अवो॒ वरे॑ण्यम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इस स्त्रोतपूर्ण यज्ञ में अग्नि की स्थापना सोमरस कुचलने वाले पत्थरों एवं कुशों के अगले भाग में हुई है. मैं मरुद्गण ब्रह्मणस्पति एवं अन्य देवों से वरण योग्य रक्षा की याचना करता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
In this sourced yagna, the agni is established in the next part of the somras crushed stones and kushas. I beg the Desert Brahmanaspati and other gods for selective protection. (1)
आ प॒शुं गा॑सि पृथि॒वीं वन॒स्पती॑नु॒षासा॒ नक्त॒मोष॑धीः । विश्वे॑ च नो वसवो विश्ववेदसो धी॒नां भू॑त प्रावि॒तारः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम रात तथा दिन में हमारे यज्ञ के पशु, यज्ञभूमि, वनस्पति एवं ओषधियों के समीप आते हो. हे निवासस्थान देने वाले विश्वेदेव! तुम हमारे यज्ञ कर्मो के रक्षक बनो. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You come close to our sacrificial animals, yajnabhoomi, vanaspati and herbs by night and day. O Visves who give the abode! You be the protector of our sacrificial deeds. (2)
प्र सू न॑ एत्वध्व॒रो॒३॒॑ऽग्ना दे॒वेषु॑ पू॒र्व्यः । आ॒दि॒त्येषु॒ प्र वरु॑णे धृ॒तव्र॑ते म॒रुत्सु॑ वि॒श्वभा॑नुषु ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हमारा प्राचीन यज्ञ अग्नि तथा अन्य देवों के पास भली प्रकार जावे. हमारा यज्ञ आदित्यों, व्रतधारी वरुण एवं सब ओर तेज फैलाने वाले मरुतों के समीप जावे. (३)
EN English Translation
Let our ancient yajna go well to agni and other gods. Let our yajna go near the Adityas, the fasting Varunas and the fasting maruts everywhere. (3)
विश्वे॒ हि ष्मा॒ मन॑वे वि॒श्ववे॑दसो॒ भुव॑न्वृ॒धे रि॒शाद॑सः । अरि॑ष्टेभिः पा॒युभि॑र्विश्ववेदसो॒ यन्ता॑ नोऽवृ॒कं छ॒र्दिः ॥ (४)

अधिक धन वाले एवं शत्रुनाशक विश्वेदेव मनु की वृद्धि करने वाले हों. हे सर्वज्ञ देवो! दूसरों द्वारा अबाधित रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमें चोर के भय से रहित घर दो. (४)
EN English Translation
Those with more wealth and enemies may be the ones who increase Visvedev Manu. O all-knowing Gods! Give us a house devoid of fear of the thief by unhindered defenses by others. (4)
आ नो॑ अ॒द्य सम॑नसो॒ गन्ता॒ विश्वे॑ स॒जोष॑सः । ऋ॒चा गि॒रा मरु॑तो॒ देव्यदि॑ते॒ सद॑ने॒ पस्त्ये॑ महि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे विश्वेदेव! स्तोत्रों के प्रति समान विचार वाले एवं संगत होकर स्तुतिवचन एवं ऋचाएं सुनने की अभिलाषा से आज हमारे पास आओ. हे मरुतो एवं महान् अदिति! हमारे यज्ञगृह में आओ. (५)
EN English Translation
O God! Come to us today with a desire to listen to the praises and the verses with a like-minded and consistent view of the psalms. O Maruto and the great Aditi! Come to our yajnagriha. (5)
अ॒भि प्रि॒या म॑रुतो॒ या वो॒ अश्व्या॑ ह॒व्या मि॑त्र प्रया॒थन॑ । आ ब॒र्हिरिन्द्रो॒ वरु॑णस्तु॒रा नर॑ आदि॒त्यासः॑ सदन्तु नः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुद्गण! अपने प्यारे घोड़ों को हमारे यज्ञ में भेजो. हे मित्र! हव्य पाने के लिए हमारे यज्ञ में आओ. इंद्र, वरुण तथा युद्ध में शत्रु का शीघ्र वध करने वाले व नेता आदित्य हमारे द्वारा बिछाए हुए कुशों पर बैठें. (६)
EN English Translation
O deserters! Send your beloved horses to our yajna. Oh my friend! Come to our yajna to get the havya. Indra, Varuna and Aditya, the quick-killed and leader of the enemy in the war, sit on the cushions laid down by us. (6)
व॒यं वो॑ वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषो हि॒तप्र॑यस आनु॒षक् । सु॒तसो॑मासो वरुण हवामहे मनु॒ष्वदि॒द्धाग्न॑यः ॥ (७)

हे वरुण! हम लोग कुश बिछाकर, खुच में हव्य भरने के बाद अग्नि में डालकर, सोमरस निचोड़ कर एवं अग्नि को प्रज्वलित करके तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
Hey Varun! We call you by laying the kush, putting it in the agni after filling the havya in the khuch, squeezing the somras and lighting the agni. (7)
आ प्र या॑त॒ मरु॑तो॒ विष्णो॒ अश्वि॑ना॒ पूष॒न्माकी॑नया धि॒या । इन्द्र॒ आ या॑तु प्रथ॒मः स॑नि॒ष्युभि॒र्वृषा॒ यो वृ॑त्र॒हा गृ॒णे ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुद्गण, विष्णु, अश्विनीकुमार एवं पूषा! मेरी स्तुति सुनने के साथ ही यज्ञ में आओ. देवों में ज्येष्ठ इंद्र भी आवें. स्तोता कामपूरक इंद्र की स्तुति वृत्रहंता के रूप में करते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Desert, Vishnu, Ashwini Kumar and Pusha! Come to the yagna as soon as you hear my praise. Indra, the eldest among the gods, also come. The stota kampoor praises Indra as vrithrahanta. (8)
वि नो॑ देवासो अद्रु॒होऽच्छि॑द्रं॒ शर्म॑ यच्छत । न यद्दू॒राद्व॑सवो॒ नू चि॒दन्ति॑तो॒ वरू॑थमाद॒धर्ष॑ति ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे द्रोहहीन देवो! हमें बाधारहित घर दो. हे निवासस्थान देने वाले देवो! समीप अथवा दूर से आकर हमारे घर को नष्ट नहीं करना. (९)
EN English Translation
O you godless! Give us a hassle-free house. O gods who give the abode! Do not come from near or far away and destroy our house. (9)
अस्ति॒ हि वः॑ सजा॒त्यं॑ रिशादसो॒ देवा॑सो॒ अस्त्याप्य॑म् । प्र णः॒ पूर्व॑स्मै सुवि॒ताय॑ वोचत म॒क्षू सु॒म्नाय॒ नव्य॑से ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुनाशक देवो! तुम में समान जाति का भाव एवं बंधुता है. प्राचीन अभ्युदय एवं नवीन धन पाने का साधन शीघ्र एवं भली प्रकार हमें बताओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
O gods of enemies! You have the same jati and fraternity in you. Tell us quickly and well the means of getting old wealth and new wealth. (10)
इ॒दा हि व॒ उप॑स्तुतिमि॒दा वा॒मस्य॑ भ॒क्तये॑ । उप॑ वो विश्ववेदसो नम॒स्युराँ असृ॒क्ष्यन्या॑मिव ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सर्वधनसंपन्न देवो! मैं अन्न पाने की अभिलाषा से इसी समय तुम्हारा उत्तम धन पाने के लिए ऐसी स्तुति करता हूं, जिसे किसी ने पहले नहीं सुना. (११)
EN English Translation
O god of all! I, with the desire to get food, at this time, praise you for getting the best wealth, which no one has heard before. (11)
उदु॒ ष्य वः॑ सवि॒ता सु॑प्रणीत॒योऽस्था॑दू॒र्ध्वो वरे॑ण्यः । नि द्वि॒पाद॒श्चतु॑ष्पादो अ॒र्थिनोऽवि॑श्रन्पतयि॒ष्णवः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शोभन स्तुति वाले मरुतो! तुम लोगों से ऊपर जाने वाले एवं वरणीय सविता जब उदय होते हैं, तब मनुष्य, पशु, पक्षी एवं याचना करने वाले लोग अपने-अपने काम में लग जाते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O You are the ones of praise! When the savitas who go above you and are the ones who are going above you rise, then the human beings, animals, birds and the people who make the supplication get involved in their respective work. (12)
दे॒वंदे॑वं॒ वोऽव॑से दे॒वंदे॑वम॒भिष्ट॑ये । दे॒वंदे॑वं हुवेम॒ वाज॑सातये गृ॒णन्तो॑ दे॒व्या धि॒या ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम दीप्तिशाली स्तुति द्वारा प्रशंसा करते हुए प्रत्येक देव को यज्ञकर्म की रक्षा, मनचाही वस्तुओं की प्राप्ति एवं अन्न पाने के लिए बुलाते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
We praise each god with radiant praise and call upon each god to protect the yagnakarma, get the desired things and get food. (13)
दे॒वासो॒ हि ष्मा॒ मन॑वे॒ सम॑न्यवो॒ विश्वे॑ सा॒कं सरा॑तयः । ते नो॑ अ॒द्य ते अ॑प॒रं तु॒चे तु नो॒ भव॑न्तु वरिवो॒विदः॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
समान क्रोध वाले विश्वेदेव मनु को धन आदि देने के लिए एक साथ ही तत्पर हों. वे आज एवं अन्य दिनों में मेरे तथा मेरे पुत्र के लिए धन देने वाले हों. (१४)
EN English Translation
Be ready together to give money etc. to Vishvedev Manu with equal anger. Let them give money for me and my son today and on other days. (14)
प्र वः॑ शंसाम्यद्रुहः सं॒स्थ उप॑स्तुतीनाम् । न तं धू॒र्तिर्व॑रुण मित्र॒ मर्त्यं॒ यो वो॒ धाम॒भ्योऽवि॑धत् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे द्रोहरहित देवो! स्तुतियों के आधार पर यज्ञ में मैं तुम्हारी भली प्रकार स्तुति करता हूं. हे वरुण एवं मित्र! तुम्हारे शरीर की वृद्धि के लिए जो हवि धारण करता है, उसे शत्रु बाधा नहीं पहुंचाते. (१५)
EN English Translation
O god without hate! On the basis of praises, I praise you well in the yajna. Hey Varun and my friend! Enemies do not hinder what you hold for the growth of your body. (15)
प्र स क्षयं॑ तिरते॒ वि म॒हीरिषो॒ यो वो॒ वरा॑य॒ दाश॑ति । प्र प्र॒जाभि॑र्जायते॒ धर्म॑ण॒स्पर्यरि॑ष्टः॒ सर्व॑ एधते ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! वह मनुष्य अपना घर बढ़ाता है, जो वरणीय धन पाने के लिए तुम्हें हव्य देता है. वह अन्न वृद्धि करता है, प्रजाओं की वृद्धि करता है एवं तुम्हारे यज्ञकर्म के कारण अबाधित होकर बढ़ता है. (१६)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! The man who grows his house, who gives you the opportunity to get the wealth you have. He increases the grain, increases the people and grows uninterrupted because of your sacrificial work. (16)
ऋ॒ते स वि॑न्दते यु॒धः सु॒गेभि॑र्या॒त्यध्व॑नः । अ॒र्य॒मा मि॒त्रो वरु॑णः॒ सरा॑तयो॒ यं त्राय॑न्ते स॒जोष॑सः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों को हव्य देने वाला युद्ध के बिना भी धन पाता है, सुंदर गति वाले अश्वां द्वारा मार्ग में चलता है तथा मित्र, वरुण एवं अर्यमा समान दान वाले बनकर तथा परस्पर मिलकर उसकी रक्षा करते हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
The one who gives attention to the gods finds wealth even without war, walks in the way by a beautifully moving horseman, and the friends, Varuna and Aryama, become equal donors and protect him together. (17)
अज्रे॑ चिदस्मै कृणुथा॒ न्यञ्च॑नं दु॒र्गे चि॒दा सु॑सर॒णम् । ए॒षा चि॑दस्माद॒शनिः॑ प॒रो नु सास्रे॑धन्ती॒ वि न॑श्यतु ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे देवो! अगम्य एवं दुर्गम मार्ग पर भी हमारा गमन तुम सरल बनाओ. यह वज्र किसी की हिंसा न करता हुआ शीघ्र ही हमसे दूर नष्ट हो जाए. (१८)
EN English Translation
Oh, God! Make it easy for you to move even on the inaccessible and inaccessible route. This thunderbolt will soon be destroyed away from us without violence against anyone. (18)
यद॒द्य सूर्य॑ उद्य॒ति प्रिय॑क्षत्रा ऋ॒तं द॒ध । यन्नि॒म्रुचि॑ प्र॒बुधि॑ विश्ववेदसो॒ यद्वा॑ म॒ध्यंदि॑ने दि॒वः ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे प्रसन्न करने वाले बल से युक्त देवो! आज सूर्य का उदय होने पर हमारे लिए कल्याणकारक घर दो. हे सब धन के स्वामी देवो! सूर्यास्त के समय, प्रातःकाल अथवा दोपहर के समय हमें घर दो. (१९)
EN English Translation
O gods with a force of delight! Today, when the sun rises, give us a welfare house. O Lord of all wealth, O Gods! Give us home at sunset, in the morning or at noon. (19)
यद्वा॑भिपि॒त्वे अ॑सुरा ऋ॒तं य॒ते छ॒र्दिर्ये॒म वि दा॒शुषे॑ । व॒यं तद्वो॑ वसवो विश्ववेदस॒ उप॑ स्थेयाम॒ मध्य॒ आ ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बुद्धिसंपन्न, समस्त धन के स्वामी एवं निवासस्थान देने वाले देवो! इस यज्ञ में तुम्हारे आने के उद्देश्य से हवि देने वाले एवं यज्ञ की ओर जाने वाले यजमान को तुम घर देते हो तो हम तुम्हारे उसी कल्याणकारी घर में तुम्हारी पूजा करेंगे. (२०)
EN English Translation
O wise, lord of all wealth and the gods who give abodes! If you give a house to the host who gives havi and who goes towards the yajna for the purpose of your coming to this yajna, then we will worship you in the same welfare house of yours. (20)
यद॒द्य सूर॒ उदि॑ते॒ यन्म॒ध्यंदि॑न आ॒तुचि॑ । वा॒मं ध॒त्थ मन॑वे विश्ववेदसो॒ जुह्वा॑नाय॒ प्रचे॑तसे ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे समस्त धन के स्वामी देवो! आज सूर्योदय के समय, दोपहर को एवं शाम के समय हवन करने वाले तथा उत्तम ज्ञानी मनु के लिए तुम सुंदर धन धारण करते हो. (२१)

O Lord of all wealth, O Gods! Today at sunrise, in the afternoon and in the evening, you hold beautiful wealth for the best-known Manu who performs havan and is the best of knowledge. (21)
व॒यं तद्वः॑ सम्राज॒ आ वृ॑णीमहे पु॒त्रो न ब॑हु॒पाय्य॑म् । अ॒श्याम॒ तदा॑दित्या॒ जुह्व॑तो ह॒विर्येन॒ वस्यो॒ऽनशा॑महै ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे भली प्रकार सुशोभित देवो! तुम्हारे पुत्र-तुल्य हम बहुतों के भोगयोग्य उसी धन की याचना करते हैं. हे आदित्यो! हम उस धन को प्राप्त करें एवं यज्ञ करते हुए उस धन के द्वारा अधिक संपन्नता प्राप्त करें. (२२)
EN English Translation
O god well- decorated! Like your sons, we ask for the same wealth that many enjoy. O Adityao! We should get that money and get more prosperity through that money while performing yajna. (22)
