स॒मिधा॒ग्निं दु॑वस्यत घृ॒तैर्बो॑धय॒ताति॑थिम् । आस्मि॑न्ह॒व्या जु॑होतन ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऋत्विजो! अतिथि के समान प्रिय अग्नि की समिधा द्वारा सेवा करो, उन्हें घृत द्वारा जगाओ. प्रज्वलित अग्नि में हव्यों का हवन करो. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! Serve by the treaty of agni as dear as the guest, wake them up by the awfulness. Perform havan of the havans in the ignited agni. (1)
अग्ने॒ स्तोमं॑ जुषस्व मे॒ वर्ध॑स्वा॒नेन॒ मन्म॑ना । प्रति॑ सू॒क्तानि॑ हर्य नः ॥ (२)

हे अग्नि! तुम मेरे स्तुति मंत्रों को स्वीकार करो, इस मनोहर स्तोत्र द्वारा बढ़ो एवं हमारे सूक्तों की कामना करो. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You accept my praise mantras, grow by this beautiful hymn and wish for our suktas. (2)
अ॒ग्निं दू॒तं पु॒रो द॑धे हव्य॒वाह॒मुप॑ ब्रुवे । दे॒वाँ आ सा॑दयादि॒ह ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं देवों के दूत एवं हव्य वहन करने वाले अग्नि को अपने सामने स्थापित करता हूं तथा उनकी स्तुति करता हूं. वे इस यज्ञ में देवों को बैठावें. (३)
EN English Translation
I set before me the angels of the gods and the agni that carries the wind and praise them. Let them sit the gods in this yajna. (3)
उत्ते॑ बृ॒हन्तो॑ अ॒र्चयः॑ समिधा॒नस्य॑ दीदिवः । अग्ने॑ शु॒क्रास॑ ईरते ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली अग्नि! जब तुम प्रज्वलित होते हो, तब तुम्हारी बढ़ी हुई एवं ज्वलंत किरणें ऊपर उठती हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O glorious agni! When you are ignited, your enlarged and vivid rays rise. (4)
उप॑ त्वा जु॒ह्वो॒३॒॑ मम॑ घृ॒ताची॑र्यन्तु हर्यत । अग्ने॑ ह॒व्या जु॑षस्व नः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अभिलाषा करने वाले अग्नि! मेरा घृत धारण करने वाला खुच तुम्हारे पास जावे. तुम हमारे हव्यों को स्वीकार करो. (५)
EN English Translation
O agni that desires! Let the one who wears my disgust go to you. You accept our words. (5)
म॒न्द्रं होता॑रमृ॒त्विजं॑ चि॒त्रभा॑नुं वि॒भाव॑सुम् । अ॒ग्निमी॑ळे॒ स उ॑ श्रवत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं प्रसन्न, देवों को बुलाने वाले, ऋत्विज्, विचित्र प्रकाश वाले एवं दीप्तिरूपी धन से युक्त अग्नि की स्तुति करता हूं. अग्नि मेरी स्तुति सुनें. (६)
EN English Translation
I praise the agni of delight, the one who calls the gods, the ritwij, the strange light, and the radiant wealth. Fire listen to my praise. (6)
प्र॒त्नं होता॑र॒मीड्यं॒ जुष्ट॑म॒ग्निं क॒विक्र॑तुम् । अ॒ध्व॒राणा॑मभि॒श्रिय॑म् ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं प्राचीन, देवों को बुलाने वाले, स्तुतियोग्य, सेवित, कार्य पूर्ण करने वाले एवं यज्ञों का आश्रय लेने वाले अग्नि की स्तुति करता हूं. (७)
EN English Translation
I praise the ancient agni, the one who calls the gods, the praiseworthy, the serviced, the one who completes the work and who takes shelter in the yagnas. (7)
जु॒षा॒णो अ॑ङ्गिरस्तमे॒मा ह॒व्यान्या॑नु॒षक् । अग्ने॑ य॒ज्ञं न॑य ऋतु॒था ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अंगिराओं में श्रेष्ठ अग्नि! तुम क्रम से हमारे हव्यों का सेवन करो एवं हमारे यज्ञों को तऋतुओं के अनुसार पूर्ण करो. (८)
EN English Translation
O the great agni in the Angiras! You consume our vows in order and complete our yajnas according to the seasons. (8)
स॒मि॒धा॒न उ॑ सन्त्य॒ शुक्र॑शोच इ॒हा व॑ह । चि॒कि॒त्वान्दैव्यं॒ जन॑म् ॥ (९)

हे सेवा स्वीकार करने वाले एवं उज्ज्वल दीप्तियुक्त अग्नि! तुम प्रज्वलित होते हुए एवं देवों के भक्तजनों को जानते हुए इस यज्ञ में आओ. (९)
EN English Translation
O service-accepting and bright agni! You come to this yagna by being ignited and knowing the devotees of the gods. (9)
विप्रं॒ होता॑रम॒द्रुहं॑ धू॒मके॑तुं वि॒भाव॑सुम् । य॒ज्ञानां॑ के॒तुमी॑महे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम मेधावी, देवों को बुलाने वाले, शत्रुतारहित, धूमरूपी ध्वजा वाले, दीप्तिरूपी धन से युक्त एवं यज्ञों की पताका के समान अग्नि से अपनी अभिलषित वस्तुएं मांगते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
We ask for our desired things from the agni, the bright, the ones who call the gods, the hostile, the flag-filled, with the radiant wealth and like the flag of the yagnas. (10)
अग्ने॒ नि पा॑हि न॒स्त्वं प्रति॑ ष्म देव॒ रीष॑तः । भि॒न्धि द्वेषः॑ सहस्कृत ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्ति द्वारा उत्पन्न अग्नि! हिंसकों से हमारी रक्षा करो एवं शत्रुओं का भेदन करो. (११)
EN English Translation
O agni generated by power! Protect us from the violent and penetrate the enemies. (11)
अ॒ग्निः प्र॒त्नेन॒ मन्म॑ना॒ शुम्भा॑नस्त॒न्वं१॒॑ स्वाम् । क॒विर्विप्रे॑ण वावृधे ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुद्धिमान् अग्नि प्राचीन एवं सुंदर स्तोत्रों द्वारा अपने शरीर को सुशोभित बनाते हुए मेधावियों के साथ बढ़ते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
Intelligent agni grows with meritorious people, adorning their body with ancient and beautiful stotras. (12)
ऊ॒र्जो नपा॑त॒मा हु॑वे॒ऽग्निं पा॑व॒कशो॑चिषम् । अ॒स्मिन्य॒ज्ञे स्व॑ध्व॒रे ॥ (१३)

मैं अन्न के पुत्र एवं पवित्र दीप्ति वाले अग्नि को इस हिंसाशून्य यज्ञ में बुलाता हूं. (१३)
EN English Translation
I call the son of food and the holy flame to this violenceless yagna. (13)
स नो॑ मित्रमह॒स्त्वमग्ने॑ शु॒क्रेण॑ शो॒चिषा॑ । दे॒वैरा स॑त्सि ब॒र्हिषि॑ ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मित्रों के पूजनीय अग्नि! तुम उज्ज्वल तेज से युक्त होकर देवों के साथ यज्ञ के कुशों पर बैठते हो. (१४)
EN English Translation
O agni of friends! You sit on the kushas of yajna with the gods, full of bright brightness. (14)
यो अ॒ग्निं त॒न्वो॒३॒॑ दमे॑ दे॒वं मर्तः॑ सप॒र्यति॑ । तस्मा॒ इद्दी॑दय॒द्वसु॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो मनुष्य धनप्राप्ति के लिए अपने घर में अग्नि की सेवा करता है, अग्नि उसीको धन देते हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
The man who serves agni in his house for the sake of wealth, the agni gives him wealth. (15)
अ॒ग्निर्मू॒र्धा दि॒वः क॒कुत्पतिः॑ पृथि॒व्या अ॒यम् । अ॒पां रेतां॑सि जिन्वति ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों के मस्तक, ह्युलोक के कूबड़ और धरती के पति अग्नि जल के प्राणियों को प्रसन्न करते हैं. (१६)
EN English Translation
The heads of the gods, the humps of The Hulok and the husbands of the earth please the creatures of agni water. (16)
उद॑ग्ने॒ शुच॑य॒स्तव॑ शु॒क्रा भ्राज॑न्त ईरते । तव॒ ज्योतीं॑ष्य॒र्चयः॑ ॥ (१७)

हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी निर्मल, शुक्लवर्ण और दीप्ति वाली किरणें तुम्हारे तेज को प्रेरित करती हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
O agni! Your pure, shuklavarna and bright rays inspire your brightness. (17)
ईशि॑षे॒ वार्य॑स्य॒ हि दा॒त्रस्या॑ग्ने॒ स्व॑र्पतिः । स्तो॒ता स्यां॒ तव॒ शर्म॑णि ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्वर्ग के पति अग्नि! तुम वरणीय एवं देने योग्य धन के स्वामी हो. मैं सुख के निमित्त तुम्हारा स्तोता बनूं. (१८)
EN English Translation
O heaven's husband, Fire! You are the master of selectable and giveable wealth. I will be your hymn for the sake of happiness. (18)
त्वाम॑ग्ने मनी॒षिण॒स्त्वां हि॑न्वन्ति॒ चित्ति॑भिः । त्वां व॑र्धन्तु नो॒ गिरः॑ ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! मनीषी लोग तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हुए यज्ञकर्मो द्वारा तुम्हें प्रसन्न करते हैं. हमारी स्तुतियां तुम्हें बढ़ावें. (१९)
EN English Translation
O agni! The menes praise you and please you through yajnakarmas. May our praises increase you. (19)
अद॑ब्धस्य स्व॒धाव॑तो दू॒तस्य॒ रेभ॑तः॒ सदा॑ । अ॒ग्नेः स॒ख्यं वृ॑णीमहे ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम हिंसारहित, शक्तिशाली, देवों के दूत एवं देवों की स्तुति करने वाले अग्नि की मित्रता चाहते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
We want the friendship of violence-free, powerful, angels of gods and agni that praises gods. (20)
अ॒ग्निः शुचि॑व्रततमः॒ शुचि॒र्विप्रः॒ शुचिः॑ क॒विः । शुची॑ रोचत॒ आहु॑तः ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अतिशय शुद्ध कर्मो वाले, शुद्ध मेधावी, पवित्र व यज्ञकार्य समाप्त करने वाले अग्नि बुलाने पर सुशोभित होते हैं. (२१)
EN English Translation
Those with very pure deeds, pure geniuses, holy and those who finish the yagna work are adorned when they call agni. (21)
उ॒त त्वा॑ धी॒तयो॒ मम॒ गिरो॑ वर्धन्तु वि॒श्वहा॑ । अग्ने॑ स॒ख्यस्य॑ बोधि नः ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! मेरी स्तुतियां एवं यज्ञकर्म तुम्हें सदा बढ़ावें. तुम हमारी मित्रता को सदा जानो. (२२)
EN English Translation
O agni! May my praises and sacrifices always increase you. You always know our friendship. (22)
यद॑ग्ने॒ स्याम॒हं त्वं त्वं वा॑ घा॒ स्या अ॒हम् । स्युष्टे॑ स॒त्या इ॒हाशिषः॑ ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! यदि मैं तुम्हारे समान बहुत धन वाला हो जाऊं और तुम मेरे समान दरिद्र बन जाओ, तब तुम्हारा आशीर्वाद सत्य हो. (२३)
EN English Translation
O agni! If I become as rich as you and you become as poor as I am, then your blessings be true. (23)
वसु॒र्वसु॑पति॒र्हि क॒मस्य॑ग्ने वि॒भाव॑सुः । स्याम॑ ते सुम॒तावपि॑ ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम दीप्तिरूपी धन वाले, धनस्वामी व निवासस्थान देने वाले हो. हम तुम्हारे अनुग्रह में रहें. (२४)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the ones with the bright wealth, the wealth and the giver of residence. Let us be in your grace. (24)
अग्ने॑ धृ॒तव्र॑ताय ते समु॒द्राये॑व॒ सिन्ध॑वः । गिरो॑ वा॒श्रास॑ ईरते ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यज्ञकर्म धारण करने वाले अग्नि! मेरी स्तुतियां तुम्हारे समीप उसी प्रकार पहुंचती हैं, जिस प्रकार नदियां समुद्र के पास जाती हैं. (२५)
EN English Translation
O agni that performs yajnakarma! My praises come to you in the same way that rivers approach the sea. (25)
युवा॑नं वि॒श्पतिं॑ क॒विं वि॒श्वादं॑ पुरु॒वेप॑सम् । अ॒ग्निं शु॑म्भामि॒ मन्म॑भिः ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं स्तुतियों द्वारा नित्यतरुण, प्रजाओं के स्वामी, कवि, सभी हवियों को खाने वाले एवं बहुत कर्म करने वाले अग्नि को सुशोभित करता हूं. (२६)
EN English Translation
I beautify the agni of Nityatarun, the master of the people, the poet, the eater of all the wives and who does many deeds. (26)
य॒ज्ञानां॑ र॒थ्ये॑ व॒यं ति॒ग्मज॑म्भाय वी॒ळवे॑ । स्तोमै॑रिषेमा॒ग्नये॑ ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम यज्ञों के नेता, तीखी ज्वालाओं वाले एवं शक्तिशाली अग्नि के लिए स्तुतियां करना चाहते हैं. (२७)
EN English Translation
We want to praise the leader of the yagnas, the sharp flames and the mighty agni. (27)
अ॒यम॑ग्ने॒ त्वे अपि॑ जरि॒ता भू॑तु सन्त्य । तस्मै॑ पावक मृळय ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सेवा योग्य एवं पवित्रकर्तता अग्नि! हमारा स्तोता तुम्हारी स्तुति करे और तुम उसे सुख दो. (२८)
EN English Translation
O agni of service and holyness! May our hymn praise you and you give him pleasure. (28)
धीरो॒ ह्यस्य॑द्म॒सद्विप्रो॒ न जागृ॑विः॒ सदा॑ । अग्ने॑ दी॒दय॑सि॒ द्यवि॑ ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! तुम धीर, हवि में स्थित रहने वाले एवं मेधावी के समान प्रजाओं के हित में सदा जागृत रहते हो एवं सदा अंतरिक्ष में दीप्त रहते हो. (२९)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are always awake in the interest of the people who live in patience, who live in Havi and are always bright in space. (29)
पु॒राग्ने॑ दुरि॒तेभ्यः॑ पु॒रा मृ॒ध्रेभ्यः॑ कवे । प्र ण॒ आयु॑र्वसो तिर ॥ (३०)

हे कवि एवं वासदाता अग्नि! हमें पापियों एवं हिंसकों के सामने से बचाकर हमारी उमर बढ़ाओ. (३०)
EN English Translation
O poet and the worshiper of agni! Increase our age by protecting us from sinners and violents. (30)
