उ॒भयं॑ शृ॒णव॑च्च न॒ इन्द्रो॑ अ॒र्वागि॒दं वचः॑ । स॒त्राच्या॑ म॒घवा॒ सोम॑पीतये धि॒या शवि॑ष्ठ॒ आ ग॑मत् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र हमारे दोनों प्रकार के वचनों को शीघ्र सुनें. इंद्र हमारे यज्ञकर्म के साथ रहकर धनवान् तथा शक्तिशाली हों एवं सोमरस पीने के लिए आवें. (१)
EN English Translation
Indra should listen to both our words quickly. May Indra be rich and powerful by staying with our yajnakarma and come to drink someras. (1)
तं हि स्व॒राजं॑ वृष॒भं तमोज॑से धि॒षणे॑ निष्टत॒क्षतुः॑ । उ॒तोप॒मानां॑ प्रथ॒मो नि षी॑दसि॒ सोम॑कामं॒ हि ते॒ मनः॑ ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
द्यावा-पृथिवी ने स्वयं सुशोभित एवं अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र का संस्कार तेज पाने के लिए किया था. हे इंद्र! तुम अपने समान देवों में प्रमुख बनकर यज्ञवेदी पर बैठो. तुम्हारा मन सोमरस का इच्छुक है. (२)
EN English Translation
Dyava-Prithivi himself performed the rites of the decorated and wishful Indra to get faster. O Indra! You sit on the yajnavedi as the head of the same gods as you. Your mind is inclined to Somerasa. (2)
आ वृ॑षस्व पुरूवसो सु॒तस्ये॒न्द्रान्ध॑सः । वि॒द्मा हि त्वा॑ हरिवः पृ॒त्सु सा॑स॒हिमधृ॑ष्टं चिद्दधृ॒ष्वणि॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अधिक धनी इंद्र! तुम निचोड़े हुए सोमरस से अपने उदर को सींचो. हे हरि नामक अश्चों के स्वामी इंद्र! हम इन्हें संग्राम में शत्रु को हराने वाला, दूसरों द्वारा पराजित न होने वाला एवं दूसरों को दबाने वाला जानते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O richer Indra! You water your abdomen from the squeezed somerus. O Lord Indra of tears named Hari! We know them to be the one who defeated the enemy in the struggle, not to be defeated by others and to suppress others. (3)
अप्रा॑मिसत्य मघव॒न्तथेद॑स॒दिन्द्र॒ क्रत्वा॒ यथा॒ वशः॑ । स॒नेम॒ वाजं॒ तव॑ शिप्रि॒न्नव॑सा म॒क्षू चि॒द्यन्तो॑ अद्रिवः ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यह सत्य है कि तुम धन के स्वामी एवं सत्य के रक्षक हो. हम अपने यज्ञकर्मो द्वारा फलों के अभिलाषी हों. हे टोपधारी इंद्र! तुम्हारी रक्षा के कारण हम अन्न का सेवन करें. हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! हम शीघ्र ही शत्रुओं को पराजित करेंगे. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! It is true that you are the master of wealth and the protector of truth. Let us desire fruits through our sacrificial deeds. O top-wielding Indra! We should consume food because of your protection. O Vajradhari Indra! We will soon defeat the enemies. (4)
श॒ग्ध्यू॒३॒॑ षु श॑चीपत॒ इन्द्र॒ विश्वा॑भिरू॒तिभिः॑ । भगं॒ न हि त्वा॑ य॒शसं॑ वसु॒विद॒मनु॑ शूर॒ चरा॑मसि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शक्ति के स्वामी इंद्र! अपने समस्त रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमें अभीष्ट फल दो. हे शूर, यशस्वी एवं धनदाता इंद्र! हम भाग्य के समान तुम्हारी सेवा करेंगे. (५)
EN English Translation
O Lord of Power Indra! Give us the desired results through all your defense tools. O Shura, successful and wealthy Indra! We will serve you like luck. (5)
पौ॒रो अश्व॑स्य पुरु॒कृद्गवा॑म॒स्युत्सो॑ देव हिर॒ण्ययः॑ । नकि॒र्हि दानं॑ परि॒मर्धि॑ष॒त्त्वे यद्य॒द्यामि॒ तदा भ॑र ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम अश्चों को पूर्ण करने वाले, गायों की संख्या बढ़ाने वाले, सोने के शरीर वाले एवं झरने के समान हो. हमें तुम जो दान देना चाहते हो उसे कोई रोक नहीं सकता, इसलिए हम जब-जब मांगें, तब-तब हमें धन देना. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the one who completes the ashes, increases the number of cows, has a gold body and is like a waterfall. No one can stop the donations you want to give us, so give us money whenever we ask. (6)
त्वं ह्येहि॒ चेर॑वे वि॒दा भगं॒ वसु॑त्तये । उद्वा॑वृषस्व मघव॒न्गवि॑ष्टय॒ उदि॒न्द्राश्व॑मिष्टये ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम आओ और धनदान के लिए हमें भोग के योग्य धन दो. हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! मुझ गाय चाहने वाले को गाय दो और अश्च चाहने वाले को अश्व दो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You come and give us money worthy of enjoyment for money. O Dhanswami Indra! Give a cow to the one who wants me a cow and give a horse to the one who wants the horse. (7)
त्वं पु॒रू स॒हस्रा॑णि श॒तानि॑ च यू॒था दा॒नाय॑ मंहसे । आ पु॑रंद॒रं च॑कृम॒ विप्र॑वचस॒ इन्द्रं॒ गाय॒न्तोऽव॑से ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम अनेक हजार एवं सौ गायों का समूह देने के लिए स्वीकृति देते हो. हम विविध उत्तम वचन बोलते हुए एवं नगरों का भेदन करने वाले इंद्र की स्तुति करते हुए अपनी रक्षा के हेतु उन्हें अपनी ओर ले आवेगे. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You approve to give a group of several thousand and a hundred cows. We will take indra towards us for our protection, speaking various good words and praising him who penetrates the cities. (8)
अ॒वि॒प्रो वा॒ यदवि॑ध॒द्विप्रो॑ वेन्द्र ते॒ वचः॑ । स प्र म॑मन्दत्त्वा॒या श॑तक्रतो॒ प्राचा॑मन्यो॒ अहं॑सन ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अनेक कर्म करने वाले, प्राचीन-क्रोध वाले एवं संग्राम में अपना महत्त्व प्रकाशित करने वाले इंद्र! कोई व्यक्ति बुद्धिरहित हो या बुद्धिमान् हो, यदि वह तुम्हारी स्तुति करता है तो तुम्हारी दया से आनंद प्राप्त करता है. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra, who does many deeds, is ancient and who reveals his importance in the struggle! Whether a person is without intellect or wise, if he praises you, he attains bliss by your mercy. (9)
उ॒ग्रबा॑हुर्म्रक्ष॒कृत्वा॑ पुरंद॒रो यदि॑ मे शृ॒णव॒द्धव॑म् । व॒सू॒यवो॒ वसु॑पतिं श॒तक्र॑तुं॒ स्तोमै॒रिन्द्रं॑ हवामहे ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऊपर भुजा उठाए हुए, शत्रुओं का वध करने वाले एवं शत्रुनगरों को ध्वस्त करने वाले इंद्र यदि मेरी पुकार सुनें तो धन की कामना करने वाले हम लोग धनस्वामी एवं असीमित बुद्धि वाले इंद्र को स्तोत्रों द्वारा बुलावेंगे. (१०)
EN English Translation
If Indra, who raises his arms, kills enemies and destroys enemy cities, listens to my call, then we, who wish for wealth, will call Indra, the wealth owner and unlimited intelligence, through hymns. (10)
न पा॒पासो॑ मनामहे॒ नारा॑यासो॒ न जळ्ह॑वः । यदिन्न्विन्द्रं॒ वृष॑णं॒ सचा॑ सु॒ते सखा॑यं कृ॒णवा॑महै ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पुण्य न करने वाले हम इंद्र को नहीं मानते. धनरहित एवं अग्नि की उपासना करने वाले हम इंद्र को नहीं मानते. इस समय सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर हम अभिलाषापूरक इंद्र को अपना मित्र बनाते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
We who do not do virtue do not believe in Indra. We do not believe in Indra, who is devoid of wealth and worships agni. At this time, when Someras is gone, we make The Blissful Indra our friend. (11)
उ॒ग्रं यु॑युज्म॒ पृत॑नासु सास॒हिमृ॒णका॑ति॒मदा॑भ्यम् । वेदा॑ भृ॒मं चि॒त्सनि॑ता र॒थीत॑मो वा॒जिनं॒ यमिदू॒ नश॑त् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम उग्र, युद्धों में शत्रुओं को जीतने वाले, ऋण के समान फलप्रद स्तुति वाले एवं किसी से न दबने वाले इंद्र को अपनी ओर मिलाते हैं. रथस्वामियों में श्रेष्ठ इंद्र तेज चलने वाले घोड़े को पहचानते हैं. दाता इंद्र अनेक यजमानों में व्याप्त हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
We join Indra, who is fierce, conquers enemies in wars, has fruitful praise like debt and is not suppressed by anyone. Indra, the best of the chariot owners, recognizes the fast-moving horse. The donor Indra is present in many hosts. (12)
यत॑ इन्द्र॒ भया॑महे॒ ततो॑ नो॒ अभ॑यं कृधि । मघ॑वञ्छ॒ग्धि तव॒ तन्न॑ ऊ॒तिभि॒र्वि द्विषो॒ वि मृधो॑ जहि ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम जिस हिंसक से डरते हैं, उससे हमें भयरहित बनाओ. हे धनस्वामी एवं शक्तिशाली इंद्र! हमें भयरहित करने के लिए अपने रक्षक पुरुषों द्वारा हमारे हिंसक शत्रुओं को मारो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Make us fearless of the violent we fear. O Lord of Wealth and the Mighty Indra! Kill our violent enemies by your protector men to free us from fear. (13)
त्वं हि रा॑धस्पते॒ राध॑सो म॒हः क्षय॒स्यासि॑ विध॒तः । तं त्वा॑ व॒यं म॑घवन्निन्द्र गिर्वणः सु॒ताव॑न्तो हवामहे ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनस्वामी इंद्र! तुम्हीं सेवक का महान् धन एवं घर बढ़ाते हो. हे धनस्वामी एवं स्तुतिपात्र अग्नि! हम सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Lord Indra! You increase the great wealth and home of the servant. O Lord of Wealth and Praise! We call you somers squeezing. (14)
इन्द्रः॒ स्पळु॒त वृ॑त्र॒हा प॑र॒स्पा नो॒ वरे॑ण्यः । स नो॑ रक्षिषच्चर॒मं स म॑ध्य॒मं स प॒श्चात्पा॑तु नः पु॒रः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सर्वज्ञ, वृत्रहंता, दूसरों का पालन करने वाले एवं वरणीय इंद्र हमारे बड़े एवं बीच वाले पुत्र की रक्षा करें. इंद्र आगे और पीछे से हमारी रक्षा करें. (१५)
EN English Translation
May indra, omniscient, omniscient, obedient to others, protect our eldest and middle son. Indra protect us from front and back. (15)
त्वं नः॑ प॒श्चाद॑ध॒रादु॑त्त॒रात्पु॒र इन्द्र॒ नि पा॑हि वि॒श्वतः॑ । आ॒रे अ॒स्मत्कृ॑णुहि॒ दैव्यं॑ भ॒यमा॒रे हे॒तीरदे॑वीः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम पीछे, आगे, नीचे, ऊपर एवं सब ओर से हमारी रक्षा करो. तुम हमारे पास से राक्षसों के आयुध एवं देवों का भय दूर करो. (१६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Protect us from behind, forward, down, above and all sides. Remove from us the weapons of demons and the fear of gods. (16)
अ॒द्याद्या॒ श्वःश्व॒ इन्द्र॒ त्रास्व॑ प॒रे च॑ नः । विश्वा॑ च नो जरि॒तॄन्स॑त्पते॒ अहा॒ दिवा॒ नक्तं॑ च रक्षिषः ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आज, कल एवं परसों हमारी रक्षा करना. हे साधुपालक इंद्र! हम स्तोताओं की रक्षा रात एवं दिन सब समय करना. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Protect us today, tomorrow and the day after. O Lord Indra! We protect the psalmists all the time of night and day. (17)
प्र॒भ॒ङ्गी शूरो॑ म॒घवा॑ तु॒वीम॑घः॒ सम्मि॑श्लो वि॒र्या॑य॒ कम् । उ॒भा ते॑ बा॒हू वृष॑णा शतक्रतो॒ नि या वज्रं॑ मिमि॒क्षतुः॑ ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
धनस्वामी, दूसरों को हराने वाले, शूर एवं अधिक संपत्ति वाले इंद्र वीरता के लिए सबसे मिलते हैं. हे बहुत कर्मो वाले इंद्र! तुम्हारी दोनों अभिलाषापूरक भुजाएं वज्र धारण करें. (१८)
EN English Translation
Indra, the lord of wealth, the one who defeats others, the brave and the one with more wealth, is the most beloved for bravery. O Indra, who has done a lot! Wear thunderbolts on both your lustful arms. (18)
