इ॒मं नु मा॒यिनं॑ हुव॒ इन्द्र॒मीशा॑न॒मोज॑सा । म॒रुत्व॑न्तं॒ न वृ॒ञ्जसे॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं यज्ञशाली, अपनी शक्ति द्वारा सब पर शासन करने वाले एवं मरुतों के साथ इंद्र को शत्रुओं का छेदन करने के लिए बुलाता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
I call indra, with the yajnashali, who ruled over all by my power and the maruts, to pierce the enemies. (1)
अ॒यमिन्द्रो॑ म॒रुत्स॑खा॒ वि वृ॒त्रस्या॑भिन॒च्छिरः॑ । वज्रे॑ण श॒तप॑र्वणा ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने मरुतों के साथ मिलकर सौ पर्वो वाले वज्र द्वारा वृत्र का सिर काटा. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra, along with the Maruts, cut off the head of the vritra with a thunderbolt of a hundred parvas. (2)
वा॒वृ॒धा॒नो म॒रुत्स॒खेन्द्रो॒ वि वृ॒त्रमै॑रयत् । सृ॒जन्स॑मु॒द्रिया॑ अ॒पः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र मरुतों की सहायता लेकर बढ़े. इंद्र ने वृत्र का सिर काटा और अंतरिक्ष का जल बनाया. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra grew up with the help of the Maruts. Indra cut off the head of the vritra and created the water of space. (3)
अ॒यं ह॒ येन॒ वा इ॒दं स्व॑र्म॒रुत्व॑ता जि॒तम् । इन्द्रे॑ण॒ सोम॑पीतये ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये इंद्र वह ही हैं, जिन्होंने मरुतों को साथ लेकर सोमरस पीने के लिए स्वर्ग को जीता था. (४)
EN English Translation
This Indra is the one who won heaven to drink somras with the maruts. (4)
म॒रुत्व॑न्तमृजी॒षिण॒मोज॑स्वन्तं विर॒प्शिन॑म् । इन्द्रं॑ गी॒र्भिर्ह॑वामहे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम मरुतों से युक्त, ऋजीष के भागी, वृद्धियुक्त एवं महान् इंद्र को स्तुतियों द्वारा बुलाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
We call the lord, the parti of the sage, the rising and the great Indra, with praises. (5)
इन्द्रं॑ प्र॒त्नेन॒ मन्म॑ना म॒रुत्व॑न्तं हवामहे । अ॒स्य सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑ ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम इस सोम को पीने के लिए मरुतों सहित इंद्र को प्राचीन स्तोत्रों द्वारा बुलाते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
We call Indra by ancient hymns including the maruts to drink this soma. (6)
म॒रुत्वा॑ँ इन्द्र मीढ्वः॒ पिबा॒ सोमं॑ शतक्रतो । अ॒स्मिन्य॒ज्ञे पु॑रुष्टुत ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे फलदायक, शतक्रतु, मरुतों से युक्त एवं बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए इंद्र! तुम इस यज्ञ में आकर सोमरस पिओ. (७)
EN English Translation
O fruitful, Sathirattu, Indra, possessed of the maruts and called by many! You come to this yagna and drink somras. (7)
तुभ्येदि॑न्द्र म॒रुत्व॑ते सु॒ताः सोमा॑सो अद्रिवः । हृ॒दा हू॑यन्त उ॒क्थिनः॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! मरुतों सहित तुम्हारे लिए सोमरस निचोड़ा गया है. उक्थ मंत्र बोलने वाले लोग मन से तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O thunderbolt Indra! The somras have been squeezed for you including the maruts. People who speak the Ukth mantra call you from the heart. (8)
पिबेदि॑न्द्र म॒रुत्स॑खा सु॒तं सोमं॒ दिवि॑ष्टिषु । वज्रं॒ शिशा॑न॒ ओज॑सा ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे मरुतों के मित्र इंद्र! तुम हमारे यज्ञों में निचोड़ा हुआ सोमरस पिओ एवं अपनी शक्ति द्वारा वज्र को तेज करो. (९)
EN English Translation
O friend of the maruts, Indra! Drink the somarus squeezed in our yajnas and intensify the thunderbolt with your power. (9)
उ॒त्तिष्ठ॒न्नोज॑सा स॒ह पी॒त्वी शिप्रे॑ अवेपयः । सोम॑मिन्द्र च॒मू सु॒तम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम पात्र में भरे सोमरस को पीकर शक्ति के साथ बड़े होओ एवं अपने जबड़ों को कंपाओ. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You grow up with power by drinking the somras filled in the pot and shiver your jaws. (10)
अनु॑ त्वा॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे क्रक्ष॑माणमकृपेताम् । इन्द्र॒ यद्द॑स्यु॒हाभ॑वः ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुओं का विनाश करने वाले इंद्र! जब तुम दस्यु लोगों का नाश करते हो, तभी द्यावा-पृथिवी दोनों तुम्हारा कल्याण करते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the destroyer of enemies! When you destroy bandits, only then both Dyava and Prithivi do you well. (11)
वाच॑म॒ष्टाप॑दीम॒हं नव॑स्रक्तिमृत॒स्पृश॑म् । इन्द्रा॒त्परि॑ त॒न्वं॑ ममे ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं इद्र की स्तुति करता हूं तथा आठ एवं नौ दिशाओं में यज्ञ स्पर्श करने वाली स्तुति को भी इंद्र से कम समझता हूं. (१२)
EN English Translation
I praise Idra and consider the praise that touches the yagna in eight and nine directions less than Indra. (12)
