आ ते वत्सो मनो यमत्परमाच्चित्सधस्थात् । अग्ने त्वां कामये गिरा ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हम वाणी से और वत्स ऋषि मन से आप की उपासना करते हैं. आप उस परम स्थान से भी हमारे पास पधारने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! We worship you with speech and vats rishi mind. Please come to us from that supreme place too. (1)
पुरुत्रा हि सदृङ्ङसि दिशो विश्वा अनु प्रभुः । समत्सु त्वा हवामहे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सर्वद्रष्टा, दिशापति और हमारे प्रभु हैं. हम युद्ध में आप का आह्वान करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are the almighty, the direction and our Swami. We call on you in war. (2)
समत्स्वग्निमवसे वाजयन्तो हवामहे । वाजेषु चित्रराधसम् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप क्षमतावान व अदभुत हैं. हम युद्ध हेतु बल प्राप्ति के लिए आप का आह्वान करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are capable and amazing. We call upon you to gain force for war. (3)
त्वं न इन्द्रा भर ओजो नृम्णँ शतक्रतो विचर्षणे । आ वीरं पृतनासहम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप ओजस्वी, विलक्षण और सैकड़ों कर्म करने वाले हैं. आप पधारिए और हमें वीरपुत्र प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are energetic, extraordinary and do hundreds of deeds. Please come and give us the son of Veer. (4)
त्वँ हि नः पिता वसो त्वं माता शतक्रतो बभूविथ । अथा ते सुम्नमीमहे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप ही हमारे पिता और माता हैं. हम आप के पुत्र अच्छे मन से आप से अच्छे सुख चाहते हैं. आप शतकर्मा हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are our father and mother. We, your son, want good happiness from you with a good heart. You are a centurion. (5)
त्वाँ शुष्मिन्पुरुहूत वाजयन्तमुप ब्रुवे सहस्कृत । स नो रास्व सुवीर्यम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सहस्रकर्मा (हजार काम करने वाले) हैं. आप शक्तिमान हैं. आप आह्वान के योग्य हैं. आप हमें शरेष्ठ वीर्यवान बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are Sahasrakarma (a thousand workers). You are powerful. You are eligible for the call. Please make us capable of making us very virtuous. (6)
यदिन्द्र चित्र म इह नास्ति त्वादातमद्रिवः । राधस्तन्नो विदद्वस उभयाहस्त्या भर ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप अदभुत हैं. आप जैसी आर्थिक सामर्थ्य हमारी नहीं है. आप दोनों हाथों से हमें भरपूर धन प्रदान (हाथ भरभर कर) कीजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are amazing. We don't have the kind of economic potential you have. Give us plenty of money with both your hands. (7)
यन्मन्यसे वरेण्यमिन्द्र द्युक्षं तदा भर । विद्याम तस्य ते वयमकूपारस्य दावनः ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप वरेण्य व तेजस्वी हैं. आप हमें भरपूर समृद्धि (ऐश्वर्य) प्रदान कीजिए. उस धन को पा कर हम भी दानदाता की सामर्थ्य वाले हो जाएं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are fearless and stunning. May you give us abundant prosperity. By getting that money, we should also become the power of donors. (8)
यत्ते दिक्षु प्रराध्यं मनो अस्ति श्रुतं बृहत् । तेन दृढा चिदद्रिव आ वाजं दर्षि सातये ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप आराधना के योग्य, यशशाली और बहुत विशाल हैं. आप हमें ऐसा धन दीजिए, जिस से हम दृढ़ चित्त वाले हो जाएं. आप हमें सामर्थ्यशाली बनाएं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are worthy of worship, glorious and very vast. You give us money so that we become strong minded. You make us powerful. (9)
