अग्ने स्तोमं मनामहे सिध्रमद्य दिविस्पृशः । देवस्य द्रविणस्यवः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप स्वर्गलोक का स्पर्श करते हैं. हम आप से वैभव चाहते हैं. हम कल्याणदायी स्तोत्रों से आप की स्तुति करते हैं, आप को मनाते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You touch heaven. We want glory from you. We praise you with welfare hymns, celebrate you. (1)
अग्निर्जुषत नो गिरो होता यो मानुषेष्वा । स यक्षद्दैव्यं जनम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप मनुष्य को दिव्यता प्रदान कीजिए. आप यज्ञ के प्रमुख और मनुष्यों के लिए होता (पुरोहित की तरह) हैं. आप हमारी वाणी सुनने की कृपा कीजिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O agni! You give divinity to man. You are the head of the yajna and would have for humans (like priests). Please listen to us. (2)
त्वमग्ने सप्रथा असि जुष्टो होता वरेण्यः । त्वया यज्ञं वि तन्वते ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप वरेण्य (सर्वश्रेष्ठ वरण करने योग्य), होता व यज्ञ में प्रमुख हैं. हम आप के द्वारा यज्ञ का विस्तार करते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are prominent in varenya (best selectable), hota and yajna. We extend the yajna through you. (3)
अभि त्रिपृष्ठं वृषणं वयोधामाङ्गोषिणमवावशन्त वाणीः । वना वसानो वरुणो न सिन्धूर्वि रत्नधा दयते वार्याणि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप अन्नदाता, धनदाता और रत्नदाता हैं. आप की ओर हमारी वाणियां दौड़ती हैं. आप स्वयं भी वाणीमय (आवाज करने वाले), वनवासी, जलमय एवं तीनों कालों में बरसने वाले हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are a food provider, a wealth giver and a gemstone. Our words run towards you. You yourself are also the one who makes speeches ( voices), forest dwellers, waters and are going to rain in all three periods. (4)
शूरग्रामः सर्ववीरः सहावान्जेता पवस्व सनिता धनानि । तिग्मायुधः क्षिप्रधन्वा समत्स्वषाढः साह्वान्पृतनासु शत्रून् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप सब से शूरवीर, सहनशील, विजेता, धनदाता, पवित्र, शीघ्र गति वाले, तीक्ष्ण अस्त्रशस्त्र वाले व शत्रुओं को हराने वाले हैं. आप ट्रोणकलश में बरसिए. (५)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the most brave, tolerant, conqueror, rich, holy, quick-moving, sharp weapons and defeaters. You rain in the tronacle. (5)
उरुगव्यूतिरभयानि कृण्वन्त्समीचीने आ पवस्वा पुरन्धी । अपः सिषासन्नुषसः स्वा३र्गाः सं चिक्रदो महो अस्मभ्यं वाजान् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप विस्तृत पथवान, निर्भय, स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी के योजक (जोड़ने वाले, मिलाने वाले) हैं. आप उषा और सूर्य की किरणों से पोषण पाते हैं. आप आवाज करते हुए छन कर पवित्र होइए. आप हमारे लिए धन दीजिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the wide wanderer, fearless, the adder of heaven and earth. You get nourishment from the rays of usha and sun. You make a sound and be pure. You give us money. (6)
त्वमिन्द्र यशा अस्यृजीषी शवसस्पतिः । त्वं वृत्राणि हँस्यप्रतीन्येक इत्पुर्वनुत्तश्चर्षणीधृतिः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप यशस्वी, धैर्यवान, दुश्मनों को मारने वाले व शक्ति के स्वामी हैं. आप जैसे देवता के बारे में हम ने पहले नहीं सुना. (७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are successful, patient, kill enemies and master of power. We haven't heard of a god like you before. (7)
तमु त्वा नूनमसुर प्रचेतसँ राधो भागमिवेमहे । महीव कृत्तिः शरणा त इन्द्र प्र ते सुम्ना नो अश्नवन् ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! बेटा जैसे पिता से धनभाग चाहता है, वैसे ही हम पिता तुल्य आप से धन चाहते हैं. आप धनवान, ज्ञानवान व शरणदाता हैं. हमें शरेष्ठ सुख प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (८)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as the son wants money from the father, so we want money from you as a father. You are rich, knowledgeable and a giver. Please give us the best happiness. (8)
यजिष्ठं त्वा ववृमहे देवं देवत्रा होतारममर्त्यम् । अस्य यज्ञस्य सुक्रतुम् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप इस यज्ञ में श्रेष्ठ कार्य करने वाले हैं. आप भजनीय (भजन करने योग्य) हैं. देवताओं में हम आप का वरण करते हैं. आप अमर व देवताओं में सर्वाधिक दिव्य देव हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are going to do the best work in this yajna. You are bhajaniya (psalmist). Among the gods, we choose you. You are the immortal and most divine god among the gods. (9)
अपां नपातँ सुभगँ सुदीदितिमग्निमु श्रेष्ठशोचिषम् । स नो मित्रस्य वरुणस्य सो अपामा सुम्नं यक्षते दिवि ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप सुभग (श्रेष्ठ धन वाले), सुदीप्त (अच्छी तरह प्रकाशित), श्रेष्ठ ज्वालाओं वाले व आकाश के जल को धारते हैं. आप हमें मित्र और वरुण देवता से प्राप्त होने वाला सुख तथा दिव्यलोक का जल प्राप्त कराइए. (१०)
EN English Translation
O agni! You have subhag (with the best wealth), sudipta (well illuminated), with the best flames and the water of the sky. You give us the happiness and the water of the divine land from the friend and Varuna devta. (10)
