अचिक्रदद्वृषा हरिर्महान्मित्रो न दर्शतः । सँ सूर्येण दिद्युते ॥ (१)

सोम कामना पूरी करते हैं. वे हरे और हमारे महान मित्र हैं. वे सूर्य के समान प्रकाशित होते हैं. निचोड़ते समय वे शब्द करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
Som fulfills the wish. They are green and our great friends. They are illuminated like the sun. They do words while squeezing. (1)
आ ते दक्षं मयोभुवं वह्निमद्या वृणीमहे । पान्तमा पुरुस्पृहम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप बलदाता, सुखदाता, धनदाता, शत्रुनाशक व अनेक लोगों द्वारा चाहे जाते हैं. आज यज्ञ में हम आप के उस बल को याद करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are a strong, happy, money giver, destroyer and many people. Today, in the yajna, we remember that force of yours. (2)
अध्वर्यो अद्रिभिः सुतँ सोमं पवित्र आ नय । पुनीहीन्द्राय पातवे ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पुरोहितो! पत्थरों से कूटकूट कर निचोड़े गए सोमरस को आप छान कर मटकों में पहुंचाइए. इंद्र के पीने के लिए आप सोमरस को शुद्ध बनाइए. (३)
EN English Translation
O priests! Filter the somers squeezed with stones and deliver them to the matkas. For Indra to drink, you make Someras pure. (3)
तरत्स मन्दी धावति धारा सुतस्यान्धसः । तरत्स मन्दी धावति ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
निचोड़ी गई सोमरस की धाराएं इंद्र को प्रसन्नता देने वाली हैं. यह सोमरस जो इंद्र को देता है, वह ऊर्ध्व (ऊंची) गति पाता है. वह सभी पापों से पार हो जाता है. (४)
EN English Translation
The streams of someras squeezed are going to give happiness to Indra. This someras that he gives to Indra attains a higher speed. He overcomes all sins. (4)
आ पवस्व सहस्रिणँ रयिँ सोम सुवीर्यम् । अस्मे श्रवाँसि धारय ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप हजारों प्रकार के श्रेष्ठ धन व अन्न हमें प्रदान कीजिए. (५)

O Mon! You give us thousands of best money and food. (5)
अनु प्रत्नास आयवः पदं नवीयो अक्रमुः । रुचे जनन्त सूर्यम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पुराने समय में लोगों ने श्रेष्ठ स्थान पाने के लिए सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी सोम को उत्पन्न किया. (६)

In the olden times, people created a bright Som like the sun to get the best place. (6)
अर्षा सोम द्युमत्तमोऽभि द्रोणानि रोरुवत् । सीदन्योनौ योनेष्वा ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप बहुत प्रकाशमान एवं शब्द करते हुए यज्ञ पात्र में छनते हैं. आप वन और यज्ञशालाओं में विराजिए. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are very bright and words and filtered in the yajna vessel. You sit in the forest and yagyashalas. (7)
वृषा सोम द्युमाँ असि वृषा देव वृषव्रतः । वृषा धर्माणि दध्रिषे ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप बलवान, तेजस्वी व इच्छा पूर्ति के संकल्प वाले हैं. आप बल बढ़ाने वाले इन गुणों को धारण करने वाले हैं. (८)

O Mon! You are strong, bright and willing. You are going to hold these force-enhancing properties. (8)
इषे पवस्व धारया मृज्यमानो मनीषिभिः । इन्दो रुचाभि गा इहि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! विद्वान् यजमान आप को निचोड़ते व छाननते हैं. हमें अन्न रस प्राप्त कराने के लिए आप धारा के रूप में छनते हुए कलश में पधारिए. आप गौ आदि पशुओं को प्राप्त होइए. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon! The learned host squeezes and filters you. To get us food juice, you come to the urn filtered in the form of a stream. You get cows etc. animals. (9)
मन्द्रया सोम धारया वृषा पवस्व देवयुः । अव्यो वारेभिरस्मयुः ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप इच्छा पूरी करने वाले व देवताओं द्वारा चाहे गए हैं. हम भी आप को चाहते हैं. बालों से बनी छलनी से छनिए. आप आनंददायी धारा का रूप धरिए व संरक्षण दीजिए. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You have been desired by the one who fulfills the wish and the gods. We also want you. Filter with a sieve made of hair. You take the form of a joyful stream and give protection. (10)
अया सोम सुकृत्यपा महान्त्सन्नभ्यवर्धथाः । हिन्दान इद्वृषायसे ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप महान, अपने अच्छे कार्यो के कारण सम्माननीय व आनंददाता हैं. आप बैल की तरह शक्ति देते हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are great, respectable and joyful because of your good work. You give power like a bull. (11)
अयं विचर्षणिर्हितः पवमानः स चेतति । हिन्वान आप्यं बृहत् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप विशेष बुद्धि देने वाले हैं. छान कर साफ बरतन में भरा जल मिला हुआ सोमरस बहुत आनंद व अन्न देता है. बहुत लोग इस के गुण गाते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are going to give special intelligence. Someras mixed with water filled in a clean vessel gives a lot of pleasure and food. Many people sing the virtues of this. (12)
प्र ण इन्दो महे तु न ऊर्मिं न बिभ्रदर्षसि । अभि देवाँ अयास्यः ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! बहुत धन पाने के लिए हम मटकों में आप को छानते हैं. अयास्य ऋषि देव पूजन के लिए आप की लहरों को धारण करते हुए गाते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! To get a lot of money, we filter you in matkas. Ayasya Rishi sings while wearing your waves for Dev Pujan. (13)
अपघ्नन्पवते मृधोऽप सोमो अराव्णः । गच्छन्निन्द्रस्य निष्कृतम् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शत्रु व धन न देने वालों के भी नाशक हैं. सोम इंद्र के पास जाने के लिए छनछन कर टपक रहे हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are also the destroyer of enemies and those who do not give money. Som is dripping to go to Indra. (14)
