य आन॑यत्परा॒वतः॒ सुनी॑ती तु॒र्वशं॒ यदु॑म् । इन्द्रः॒ स नो॒ युवा॒ सखा॑ ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो इंद्र! अपनी उत्तम नीति द्वारा तुर्वश एवं यदु नामक राजाओं को दूर से लाए, वे युवा इंद्र हमारे मित्र हों. (१)
EN English Translation
Joe Indra! By his best policy, the kings of Turvash and Yadu were brought from afar, let those young Indras be our friends. (1)
अ॒वि॒प्रे चि॒द्वयो॒ दध॑दना॒शुना॑ चि॒दर्व॑ता । इन्द्रो॒ जेता॑ हि॒तं धन॑म् ॥ (२)

इंद्र स्तुति न करने वाले को भी अन्न देते हैं एवं धीमी चाल वाले घोड़े पर चढ़कर शत्रुओं के छिपे धन को जीतते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Indra also gives food to those who do not praise and climbs on a slow-moving horse to conquer the hidden wealth of the enemies. (2)
म॒हीर॑स्य॒ प्रणी॑तयः पू॒र्वीरु॒त प्रश॑स्तयः । नास्य॑ क्षीयन्त ऊ॒तयः॑ ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र की उत्तम नीतियां महान् एवं स्तुतियां अनेक हैं. इंद्र के रक्षासाधन कभी समाप्त नहीं होते. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra's best policies are great and many praises. Indra's rakshasadhan never ends. (3)
सखा॑यो॒ ब्रह्म॑वाह॒सेऽर्च॑त॒ प्र च॑ गायत । स हि नः॒ प्रम॑तिर्म॒ही ॥ (४)

हे मित्ररूप स्तोताओ! मंत्रं द्वारा बुलाने योग्य इंद्र की पूजा एवं स्तुति करो. वे हमें उत्तम बुद्धि देते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
These friendly hymns! Worship and praise indra who is called by mantras. They give us the best wisdom. (4)
त्वमेक॑स्य वृत्रहन्नवि॒ता द्वयो॑रसि । उ॒तेदृशे॒ यथा॑ व॒यम् ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वृत्रनाशक इंद्र! तुम एक या दो स्तोताओं के रक्षक हो. हमारे जैसे लोगों की तुम्हीं रक्षा करते हो. (५)
EN English Translation
O the conqueror Indra! You are the protector of one or two hymns. You protect people like us. (5)
नय॒सीद्वति॒ द्विषः॑ कृ॒णोष्यु॑क्थशं॒सिनः॑ । नृभिः॑ सु॒वीर॑ उच्यसे ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! द्वेष करने वालों को हमसे दूर करो एवं हम स्तोताओं को समृद्ध बनाओ. मनुष्य शोभनपुत्र देने वाले इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Take away from us the malice and let us enrich the hymns. Humans praise Indra, who gives the son of Shobhan. (6)
ब्र॒ह्माणं॒ ब्रह्म॑वाहसं गी॒र्भिः सखा॑यमृ॒ग्मिय॑म् । गां न दो॒हसे॑ हुवे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं गाय के समान अभिलाषारूप दूध दुहुने के लिए इंद्र को स्तुतियों द्वारा बुलाता हूं. इंद्र महान्, स्तुतियां स्वीकार करने वाले एवं मित्र हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
I call Indra with praises to milk milk as a cow's desire. Indra is great, acceptable of praises and a friend. (7)
यस्य॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ हस्त॑योरू॒चुर्वसू॑नि॒ नि द्वि॒ता । वी॒रस्य॑ पृतना॒षहः॑ ॥ (८)

ऋषि लोगों ने कहा था कि शत्रुसेना को हराने वाले वीर इंद्र के दोनों हाथों में सभी प्रकार की संपत्तियां हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
The sages had said that the heroic Indra, who defeated the enemy army, has all kinds of properties in both his hands. (8)
वि दृ॒ळ्हानि॑ चिदद्रिवो॒ जना॑नां शचीपते । वृ॒ह मा॒या अ॑नानत ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वज्रधारी एवं यज्ञ के स्वामी इंद्र! तुम शत्रुओं के दृढ़ नगरों को भग्न करो. हे न झुकने वाले इंद्र! तुम शत्रुओं की माया को समाप्त करो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Vajradhari and Lord of the Yajna Indra! You break down the fortified cities of the enemies. O indra who does not bow down! You end the maya of the enemies. (9)
तमु॑ त्वा सत्य सोमपा॒ इन्द्र॑ वाजानां पते । अहू॑महि श्रव॒स्यवः॑ ॥ (१०)

हे सत्यस्वभाव, सोम पीनेवाले एवं धनों के स्वामी इंद्र! हम अन्न की अभिलाषा से तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O satyabhava, The One who drinks soma and the lord of the riches Indra! We call you by the desire of food. (10)
तमु॑ त्वा॒ यः पु॒रासि॑थ॒ यो वा॑ नू॒नं हि॒ते धने॑ । हव्यः॒ स श्रु॑धी॒ हव॑म् ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम प्राचीन काल में पुकारने योग्य थे एवं वर्तमान काल में शत्रुओं के छिपे हुए धन को पाने के लिए बुलाए जाते हो. हम तुम्हें बुलाते हैं. तुम हमारी पुकार सुनो. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You were worthy of calling in ancient times and are called to find the hidden wealth of enemies in the present tense. We call you. You hear our call. (11)
धी॒भिरर्व॑द्भि॒रर्व॑तो॒ वाजा॑ँ इन्द्र श्र॒वाय्या॑न् । त्वया॑ जेष्म हि॒तं धन॑म् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारी स्तुतियां सुनकर तुम प्रसन्न होते हो. तुम्हारी कृपा से हम अपने घोड़ों द्वारा शत्रुओं के घोड़ों, उत्तम अन्नों एवं छिपे हुए धन को जीतने योग्य बनते हैं. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are pleased to hear our praises. By your grace, we become able to conquer the horses of enemies, the good food grains and the hidden wealth through our horses. (12)
अभू॑रु वीर गिर्वणो म॒हाँ इ॑न्द्र॒ धने॑ हि॒ते । भरे॑ वितन्त॒साय्यः॑ ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वीर, स्तुति योग्य एवं महान् इंद्र! तुम शत्रुओं के छिपे हुए धन के निमित्त होने वाले युद्ध में शत्रुओं को जीतने वाले हो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O hero, praiseworthy and great Indra! You are going to conquer the enemies in the war for the hidden wealth of the enemies. (13)
या त॑ ऊ॒तिर॑मित्रहन्म॒क्षूज॑वस्त॒मास॑ति । तया॑ नो हिनुही॒ रथ॑म् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शत्रुनाशक इंद्र! तुम अपनी अतिशय तीव्रगति से हमारे रथ को शत्रुविजय के निमित्त आगे बढ़ाओ. (१४)
EN English Translation
O enemies Indra! You must move our chariot forward for the sake of enemyism with your very fast speed. (14)
स रथे॑न र॒थीत॑मो॒ऽस्माके॑नाभि॒युग्व॑ना । जेषि॑ जिष्णो हि॒तं धन॑म् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रथ स्वामियों में श्रेष्ठ एवं जयशील इंद्र! तुम हमारे शत्रुपराजयकारी रथ द्वारा शत्रुओं के छिपे धन को जीतते हो. (१५)
EN English Translation
O chariot owners, the best and the most victorious Indra! You conquer the hidden wealth of the enemies by our enemy's ruling chariot. (15)
य एक॒ इत्तमु॑ ष्टुहि कृष्टी॒नां विच॑र्षणिः । पति॑र्ज॒ज्ञे वृष॑क्रतुः ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उन्हीं एकमात्र इंद्र की स्तुति करो जो प्रजाओं के स्वामी, विशेष द्रष्टा एवं वर्षा करने वाले के रूप में उत्पन्न हुए थे. (१६)
EN English Translation
Praise the only Indra who was born as the lord of the people, the special seer and the rain-doer. (16)
यो गृ॑ण॒तामिदासि॑था॒पिरू॒ती शि॒वः सखा॑ । स त्वं न॑ इन्द्र मृळय ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे रक्षा द्वारा सुखदाता एवं सखा इंद्र! प्राचीन काल में तुम हम स्तोताओं के बंधु थे. तुम अब भी हमें सुखी करो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the giver and the comforter by protection! In ancient times you were the brothers of us stoetas. You still make us happy. (17)
धि॒ष्व वज्रं॒ गभ॑स्त्यो रक्षो॒हत्या॑य वज्रिवः । सा॒स॒ही॒ष्ठा अ॒भि स्पृधः॑ ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे वञ्जधारी इंद्र! तुम राक्षसों को मारने के हेतु वज्र धारण करते हो एवं विरोध करने वाली असुर सेनाओं को हराते हो. (१८)
EN English Translation
O vanjadhari Indra! You wear thunderbolts to kill demons and defeat the opposing asura armies. (18)
प्र॒त्नं र॑यी॒णां युजं॒ सखा॑यं कीरि॒चोद॑नम् । ब्रह्म॑वाहस्तमं हुवे ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मैं सबके आदि, धन प्राप्त करने वाले, सखा, स्तोताओं को प्रोत्साहित करने वाले एवं मंत्रों के द्वारा बुलाने योग्य इंद्र को बुलाता हूं. (१९)
EN English Translation
I call upon everyone, the one who receives wealth, the sakha, the encourages the hymns and the one who is called by mantras. (19)
स हि विश्वा॑नि॒ पार्थि॑वा॒ँ एको॒ वसू॑नि॒ पत्य॑ते । गिर्व॑णस्तमो॒ अध्रि॑गुः ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अतिशय स्तुतिपात्र एवं अबाध गति वाले इंद्र ही धरती के सब धनों के एकमात्र स्वामी हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
Indra, who is very praiseworthy and unmoved, is the only master of all the wealth on earth. (20)
स नो॑ नि॒युद्भि॒रा पृ॑ण॒ कामं॒ वाजे॑भिर॒श्विभिः॑ । गोम॑द्भिर्गोपते धृ॒षत् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गोपालक इंद्र! तुम घोड़ियों के साथ आकर हमारी अभिलाषा अन्न, घोड़ों एवं गायों से भली-भांति पूरी करो. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Gopalak Indra! Come with the horses and fulfill our desire well with food, horses and cows. (21)
तद्वो॑ गाय सु॒ते सचा॑ पुरुहू॒ताय॒ सत्व॑ने । शं यद्गवे॒ न शा॒किने॑ ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! गाय को जैसे घास सुख देती है, उसी प्रकार सोमरस इंद्र को सुखी बनाता है. सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर यह स्तोत्र बहुतों द्वारा बुलाए गए, शत्रुनाशक एवं दानशील इंद्र के लिए सुखकर होता है. तुम लोग इंद्र को बुलाओ. (२२)
EN English Translation
This stotao! Just as grass gives happiness to the cow, so so does Someras make Indra happy. On going to Somras Nichud, this hymn is pleasant for the enemy-destroying and charitable Indra, called by many. You guys call Indra. (22)
न घा॒ वसु॒र्नि य॑मते दा॒नं वाज॑स्य॒ गोम॑तः । यत्सी॒मुप॒ श्रव॒द्गिरः॑ ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
निवासस्थान देने वाले इंद्र तब हमें अनेक गायों सहित अन्न देते हैं, जब वे हमारी स्तुतियां सुनते हैं. (२३)
EN English Translation
Indra, who gives us the abode, then gives us food along with many cows when he hears our praises. (23)
कु॒वित्स॑स्य॒ प्र हि व्र॒जं गोम॑न्तं दस्यु॒हा गम॑त् । शची॑भि॒रप॑ नो वरत् ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दस्युवधकर्तता इंद्र कुवित्स की अनगिनत गायों वाली गोशाला में गए. इंद्र ने अपनी बुद्धि से उन छिपी हुई गायों को प्रकट किया. (२४)
EN English Translation
The bandit went to the goshala of Indra Kuvits with countless cows. Indra revealed those hidden cows with his wisdom. (24)
इ॒मा उ॑ त्वा शतक्रतो॒ऽभि प्र णो॑नुवु॒र्गिरः॑ । इन्द्र॑ व॒त्सं न मा॒तरः॑ ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सैकड़ों प्रकार के यज्ञ करने वाले इंद्र! जिस प्रकार गाएं बछड़ों के पास बार-बार जाती हैं, उसी प्रकार हमारी स्तुतियां तुम्हारे समीप पहुंचें. (२५)
EN English Translation
O Indra who performs hundreds of kinds of yajna! Just as the cows go to the calves again and again, so so our praises come to you. (25)
दू॒णाशं॑ स॒ख्यं तव॒ गौर॑सि वीर गव्य॒ते । अश्वो॑ अश्वाय॒ते भ॑व ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम्हारी मित्रता नष्ट नहीं हो सकती. तुम गाय चाहने वाले को गाय देने वाले एवं घोड़ा चाहने वालों को घोड़ा देने वाले बनो. (२६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Your friendship cannot be destroyed. You should be the one who gives the cow to the cow-seeker and the one who gives the horse to the horse-seekers. (26)
स म॑न्दस्वा॒ ह्यन्ध॑सो॒ राध॑से त॒न्वा॑ म॒हे । न स्तो॒तारं॑ नि॒दे क॑रः ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! महान् धन के उददेश्य से दिए हुए सोमरस से तुम प्रसन्न बनो तथा अपने स्तोता को निंदक के अधिकार में मत करो. (२७)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Be pleased with the somras given for the purpose of great wealth and do not possess your hymns to the blasphemer. (27)
इ॒मा उ॑ त्वा सु॒तेसु॑ते॒ नक्ष॑न्ते गिर्वणो॒ गिरः॑ । व॒त्सं गावो॒ न धे॒नवः॑ ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुतियों द्वारा प्रशंसनीय इंद्र! प्रत्येक बार सोमरस निचुड़ जाने पर हमारी स्तुतियां उसी प्रकार तुम्हारे पास पहुंचती हैं, जिस प्रकार दुधारू गाएं बछड़ों के पास जाती हैं. (२८)
EN English Translation
O Indra admirable by the praises! Each time our eulogies go to you every time we go to Somers, just as the milch cows go to the calves. (28)
पु॒रू॒तमं॑ पुरू॒णां स्तो॑तॄ॒णां विवा॑चि । वाजे॑भिर्वाजय॒ताम् ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अनेक शत्रुओं के नाशक इंद्र! विविध स्तुतियों वाले यज्ञ में हम स्तोताओं की स्तुतियां हव्यान्नों द्वारा तुम्हें बलवान् बनावे. (२९)
EN English Translation
O Indra, the destroyer of many enemies! In a yajna with various hymns, let us make you strong by the praises of the psalms. (29)
अ॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र भूतु ते॒ स्तोमो॒ वाहि॑ष्ठो॒ अन्त॑मः । अ॒स्मान्रा॒ये म॒हे हि॑नु ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमारी परम उन्नतिकारक स्तुतियां तुम्हारे समीप पहुंचें. तुम हमें महान् धन पाने के लिए प्रेरित करो. (३०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May our most uplifting praises come to you. You inspire us to get great wealth. (30)
