प्र कृ॒तान्यृ॑जी॒षिणः॒ कण्वा॒ इन्द्र॑स्य॒ गाथ॑या । मदे॒ सोम॑स्य वोचत ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे कण्वगोत्रीय ऋषियो! जब इंद्र अपनी कहानी सुनकर प्रसन्न हो जावें, तब तुम ऋजीष वाले सोम का वर्णन करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O kanvagotrian sages! When Indra is pleased to hear his story, then you describe the sage-wali som. (1)
यः सृबि॑न्द॒मन॑र्शनिं॒ पिप्रुं॑ दा॒सम॑ही॒शुव॑म् । वधी॑दु॒ग्रो रि॒णन्न॒पः ॥ (२)

उग्र इंद्र ने जल को बहने के लिए प्रेरित करते हुए सुविंद, अनर्शनि, पिप्रु, दास और अहीशुव को मारा था. (२)
EN English Translation
The furious Indra had killed Suvind, Anarshini, Pipru, Das and Ahishuv while motivating the water to flow. (2)
न्यर्बु॑दस्य वि॒ष्टपं॑ व॒र्ष्माणं॑ बृह॒तस्ति॑र । कृ॒षे तदि॑न्द्र॒ पौंस्य॑म् ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! महान् मेघ के जलावरोधक स्थान में छेद करो एवं यह वीरतापूर्ण कार्य पूरा करो. (3)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Make a hole in the waterproof place of the Great Cloud and complete this heroic act. (3)
प्रति॑ श्रु॒ताय॑ वो धृ॒षत्तूर्णा॑शं॒ न गि॒रेरधि॑ । हु॒वे सु॑शि॒प्रमू॒तये॑ ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! मैं तुम्हारी प्रार्थनाएं सुनने के लिए शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले एवं शोभन हनु वाले इंद्र को उसी प्रकार बुलाता हूं, जिस प्रकार बादल से पानी की प्रार्थना की जाती है. (४)
EN English Translation
This stotao! I call Indra, who destroyed the enemies and shobhan hanu, to listen to your prayers in the same way that water is prayed to the cloud. (4)
स गोरश्व॑स्य॒ वि व्र॒जं म॑न्दा॒नः सो॒म्येभ्यः॑ । पुरं॒ न शू॑र दर्षसि ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शूर इंद्र! तुम प्रसन्न होकर सोमरस के योग्य स्तोताओं के लिए गोशाला एवं अश्वशाला के द्वार उसी प्रकार खोल देते हो, जिस प्रकार शत्रु नागरिकों के द्वार. (५)
EN English Translation
O Shur Indra! You are pleased to open the gates of the goshala and the horsehouse for the worthy hymns of Somras in the same way as the doors of the enemy citizens. (5)
यदि॑ मे रा॒रणः॑ सु॒त उ॒क्थे वा॒ दध॑से॒ चनः॑ । आ॒रादुप॑ स्व॒धा ग॑हि ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम मेरे द्वारा निचोड़े गए सोमरस अथवा निर्मित स्तोत्रों से प्रसन्न हो एवं मुझे अन्न देते हो तो दूर देश से अन्न लेकर मेरे पास आओ. (६)
EN English Translation
O Indra! If you are pleased with the somaras or the hymns made by me and give me food, then come to me with food from a distant land. (6)
व॒यं घा॑ ते॒ अपि॑ ष्मसि स्तो॒तार॑ इन्द्र गिर्वणः । त्वं नो॑ जिन्व सोमपाः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तुति योग्य इंद्र! हम तुम्हारे स्तोता हैं. हे सोमरस पीने वाले इंद्र! तुम हमें प्रसन्न करते . (७)
EN English Translation
O praise worthy Indra! We are your stota. O Indra who drinks somers! You please us. (7)
उ॒त नः॑ पि॒तुमा भ॑र संररा॒णो अवि॑क्षितम् । मघ॑व॒न्भूरि॑ ते॒ वसु॑ ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे धनयुक्त इंद्र! तुम प्रसन्न होकर हमें समाप्त न होने वाला अन्न दो. (८)
EN English Translation
O rich Indra! Please and give us the food that does not end. (8)
उ॒त नो॒ गोम॑तस्कृधि॒ हिर॑ण्यवतो अ॒श्विनः॑ । इळा॑भिः॒ सं र॑भेमहि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हमें गायों, घोड़ों और सोने वाला बनाओ. हम अन्न से युक्त हो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Make us cows, horses and gold goers. We are rich in grain. (9)
बृ॒बदु॑क्थं हवामहे सृ॒प्रक॑रस्नमू॒तये॑ । साधु॑ कृ॒ण्वन्त॒मव॑से ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हम महान् मंत्रों वाले, भुजाएं फैलाए हुए एवं लोक की रक्षा के लिए भली प्रकार प्रयत्न करने वाले इंद्र को लोक की रक्षा के लिए बुलाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
We call Indra, who has great mantras, stretches out arms and strives well to protect the people. (10)
यः सं॒स्थे चि॑च्छ॒तक्र॑तु॒रादीं॑ कृ॒णोति॑ वृत्र॒हा । ज॒रि॒तृभ्यः॑ पुरू॒वसुः॑ ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र संग्राम में अनेक वीरतापूर्ण कार्य करने वाले शन्रुवधकर्तता, वृत्रहंता एवं स्तोताओं को अधिक अन्न देने वाले हैं. (११)
EN English Translation
Those who have done many heroic acts in the Indra Sangram are going to give more food to the Shanruvadkarta, Vrithrahanta and The Stotas. (11)
स नः॑ श॒क्रश्चि॒दा श॑क॒द्दान॑वाँ अन्तराभ॒रः । इन्द्रो॒ विश्वा॑भिरू॒तिभिः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वे शक्तिशाली इंद्र हमें भी शक्तिशाली बनावें. दानशील इंद्र अपने सभी रक्षासाधनों द्वारा हमारे दोषों को दूर करें. (१२)
EN English Translation
Those mighty Indras make us even more powerful. May the charitable Indra remove our faults by all his defense means. (12)
यो रा॒यो॒३॒॑ऽवनि॑र्म॒हान्सु॑पा॒रः सु॑न्व॒तः सखा॑ । तमिन्द्र॑म॒भि गा॑यत ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो इंद्र, धन के पालक, महान्, शोभनव्रत, समाप्ति वाले एवं सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले के मित्र हैं, उन्हीं इंद्र की स्तुति करो. (१३)
EN English Translation
Praise indra who is the friend of indra, the great, the great, the adornant, the ender and the one who squeezes the somras, the same indra. (13)
आ॒य॒न्तारं॒ महि॑ स्थि॒रं पृत॑नासु श्रवो॒जित॑म् । भूरे॒रीशा॑न॒मोज॑सा ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र यज्ञ में आने वाले, युद्धों में अत्यंत स्थिर, अन्न को जीतने वाले एवं शक्ति द्वारा बहुत धन के स्वामी हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
Indra is the master of many wealth by coming in yajna, very stable in wars, conquering food and powering. (14)
नकि॑रस्य॒ शची॑नां निय॒न्ता सू॒नृता॑नाम् । नकि॑र्व॒क्ता न दा॒दिति॑ ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के शोभन कर्मो का नियंत्रण करने वाला कोई नहीं है. इंद्र दान नहीं करते, ऐसा कोई नहीं कह सकता. (१५)
EN English Translation
There is no one to control Indra's shobhan karma. Indra does not donate, no one can say that. (15)
न नू॒नं ब्र॒ह्मणा॑मृ॒णं प्रा॑शू॒नाम॑स्ति सुन्व॒ताम् । न सोमो॑ अप्र॒ता प॑पे ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोमरस निचोड़ने और पीने वाले ब्राह्मणों पर देवतऋण नहीं रहता. अधिक धन के बिना कोई सोमरस नहीं पी सकता है. (१६)
EN English Translation
The Somaras does not owe the devata debt to the Brahmins who squeeze and drink. Without more wealth one cannot drink somras. (16)
पन्य॒ इदुप॑ गायत॒ पन्य॑ उ॒क्थानि॑ शंसत । ब्रह्मा॑ कृणोत॒ पन्य॒ इत् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गायको! स्तुति योग्य इंद्र के लिए गाओ. हे स्तोताओ! इंद्र के लिए मंत्र बोलो एवं स्तोत्र बनाओ. (१७)
EN English Translation
Hey singers! Sing to the praiseworthy Indra. This stotao! Speak mantras for Indra and make hymns. (17)
पन्य॒ आ द॑र्दिरच्छ॒ता स॒हस्रा॑ वा॒ज्यवृ॑तः । इन्द्रो॒ यो यज्व॑नो वृ॒धः ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तुति योग्य, बलवान्, यज्ञवर्धक एवं शत्रुओं द्वारा न घिरने वाले इंद्र ने सैकड़ों और हजारों शत्रुओं को विदीर्ण किया है. (१८)
EN English Translation
Worthy of praise, strongness, sacrificial and unstoppable by enemies, Indra has annihilated hundreds and thousands of enemies. (18)
वि षू च॑र स्व॒धा अनु॑ कृष्टी॒नामन्वा॒हुवः॑ । इन्द्र॒ पिब॑ सु॒ताना॑म् ॥ (१९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बुलाने योग्य इंद्र! प्रजाओं के हव्य के समीप जाओ एवं निचोड़ा हुआ सोमरस पिओ. (१९)
EN English Translation
O calling Indra! Go near the hearts of the people and drink squeezed somras. (19)
पिब॒ स्वधै॑नवानामु॒त यस्तुग्र्ये॒ सचा॑ । उ॒तायमि॑न्द्र॒ यस्तव॑ ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! अपनी गाय के बदले खरीदे गए एवं जल की सहायता से तैयार किए गए इस अपने सोमरस को पिओ. (२०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Drink this somras bought in exchange for your cow and prepared with the help of water. (20)
अती॑हि मन्युषा॒विणं॑ सुषु॒वांस॑मु॒पार॑णे । इ॒मं रा॒तं सु॒तं पि॑ब ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! क्रोध के साथ एवं बुरे स्थान में सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले को लांघकर चले जाओ. हमारे द्वारा दिए हुए इस सोमरस को पिओ. (२१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! With anger and in the bad place, push the somers squeezer and go away. Drink this somras given by us. (21)
इ॒हि ति॒स्रः प॑रा॒वत॑ इ॒हि पञ्च॒ जना॒ँ अति॑ । धेना॑ इन्द्राव॒चाक॑शत् ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुमने हमारी स्तुतियों को समझा है. इसलिए आगे-पीछे तथा आसपास से एवं गंधर्वो, पितरों, देवों, असुरों और राक्षसों को लांघकर हमारे पास आओ. (२२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have understood our praises. So come to us from the back and forth and around and by crossing the Gandharvas, the fathers, the gods, the asuras and the demons. (22)
सूर्यो॑ र॒श्मिं यथा॑ सृ॒जा त्वा॑ यच्छन्तु मे॒ गिरः॑ । नि॒म्नमापो॒ न स॒ध्र्य॑क् ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! जिस प्रकार सूर्य किरणें देते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम मुझे धन दो. जैसे जल नीचे स्थान में पहुंच जाता है उसी प्रकार मेरी स्तुतियां तुम्हारे पास पहुंचें. (२३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Just as the sun gives me the rays, so do you give me money. Just as the water reaches the place below, so so do my praises come to you. (23)
अध्व॑र्य॒वा तु हि षि॒ञ्च सोमं॑ वी॒राय॑ शि॒प्रिणे॑ । भरा॑ सु॒तस्य॑ पी॒तये॑ ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अध्वर्युगण! शोभन जबड़ों वाले एवं वीर इंद्र के लिए सोमरस दो एवं उन्हें सोमरस पीने के लिए बुलाओ. (२४)
EN English Translation
O teacher! Give somras to shobhan jaws and veer indra and call them to drink somras. (24)
य उ॒द्नः फ॑लि॒गं भि॒नन्न्य१॒॑क्सिन्धू॑ँर॒वासृ॑जत् । यो गोषु॑ प॒क्वं धा॒रय॑त् ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने जल के लिए मेघ को विदीर्ण किया, जलधाराओं को नीचे गिराया एवं गायों में दूध धारण किया. (२५)
EN English Translation
Indra pierced the cloud for water, pulled down the streams and held milk in the cows. (25)
अह॑न्वृ॒त्रमृची॑षम और्णवा॒भम॑ही॒शुव॑म् । हि॒मेना॑विध्य॒दर्बु॑दम् ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
दीप्तिशाली इंद्र ने वृत्र, और्णनाभ एवं अहीशुव को मारा एवं तुषार जल से बादल का भेदन किया. (२६)
EN English Translation
The bright indra struck Vrithra, Arnabha and Ahishuv and pierced the cloud with the ushy waters. (26)
प्र व॑ उ॒ग्राय॑ नि॒ष्टुरेऽषा॑ळ्हाय प्रस॒क्षिणे॑ । दे॒वत्तं॒ ब्रह्म॑ गायत ॥ (२७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे उद्गाताओ! तुम उग्र, शत्रुनाशक, शन्रुपराभवकारी और शत्रुओं का धन बलपूर्वक हरण करने वाले इंद्र के लिए देवों की कृपा से स्तुतियां गाओ. (२७)
EN English Translation
O you, o you! You sing praises by the grace of the gods to Indra, the fierce, the enemy-destroyer, the slanderer, and the forceful take away the wealth of enemies. (27)
यो विश्वा॑न्य॒भि व्र॒ता सोम॑स्य॒ मदे॒ अन्ध॑सः । इन्द्रो॑ दे॒वेषु॒ चेत॑ति ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र पिए हुए सोमरस का नशा चढ़ने पर समस्त यज्ञकर्म देवों को बताते हैं. (२८)

Indra tells all the yajnakarmas to the gods when the drunk Somras is drunk. (28)
इ॒ह त्या स॑ध॒माद्या॒ हरी॒ हिर॑ण्यकेश्या । वो॒ळ्हाम॒भि प्रयो॑ हि॒तम् ॥ (२९)

सुनहरे बालों वाले एवं हरि नामक घोड़े एक साथ इंद्र को इस यज्ञ में सोमरस रूपी हव्य के सामने ले आवें. (२९)
EN English Translation
The blonde and the horses named Hari should together bring Indra in front of the Somras Rupi Havya in this yagna. (29)
अ॒र्वाञ्चं॑ त्वा पुरुष्टुत प्रि॒यमे॑धस्तुता॒ हरी॑ । सो॒म॒पेया॑य वक्षतः ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे बहुतों द्वारा स्तुत इंद्र! प्रियमेध ऋषि द्वारा प्रशंसित हरि नामक घोड़े तुम्हें सोमरस पीने के लिए हमारे सामने लावें. (३०)
EN English Translation
O Indra praised by many! May the horse named Hari, acclaimed by The Priymedha Sage, bring you before us to drink somras. (30)
