आ प॑वस्व सह॒स्रिणं॑ र॒यिं सो॑म सु॒वीर्य॑म् । अ॒स्मे श्रवां॑सि धारय ॥ (१)

हे सोम! हमारे लिए अधिक संख्या वाला एवं शोभन शक्ति से युक्त धन बरसाओ तथा हमें अन्न दो. (१)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! Shower us with more numbered and rich power and give us food. (1)
इष॒मूर्जं॑ च पिन्वस॒ इन्द्रा॑य मत्स॒रिन्त॑मः । च॒मूष्वा नि षी॑दसि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय मादक सोम! तुम इंद्र के लिए अन्न एवं रस टपकाते हो तथा चमस नामक पात्रों में बैठे हो. (२)
EN English Translation
Oh, very intoxicating Mon! You drip food and juice for Indra and are sitting in containers called Chamas. (2)
सु॒त इन्द्रा॑य॒ विष्ण॑वे॒ सोमः॑ क॒लशे॑ अक्षरत् । मधु॑माँ अस्तु वा॒यवे॑ ॥ (३)

इंद्र, विष्णु एवं वायु के लिए निचोड़े गए सोम द्रोणकलश में गिरते हैं एवं मधुर रस वाले हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Indra, Vishnu and the soma squeezed for the air fall into the Dronakalash and are of sweet juice. (3)
ए॒ते अ॑सृग्रमा॒शवोऽति॒ ह्वरां॑सि ब॒भ्रवः॑ । सोमा॑ ऋ॒तस्य॒ धार॑या ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पीले रंग वाले व शीघ्र गतियुक्त ये सोम जल की धारा से निर्मित होते हैं एवं राक्षसों पर धावा बोलते हैं. (४)
EN English Translation
Yellow in colour and fast-moving, these mons are made from a stream of water and attack the demons. (4)
इन्द्रं॒ वर्ध॑न्तो अ॒प्तुरः॑ कृ॒ण्वन्तो॒ विश्व॒मार्य॑म् । अ॒प॒घ्नन्तो॒ अरा॑व्णः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सोम इंद्र को बढ़ाते हुए, उदक को प्रेरित करने वाले, हमारे काम के लिए सभी रसों को भला बनाते हुए एवं दान न देने वालों का नाश करते हुए जाते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
Som goes on to increase Indra, the apostles of Udak, making all the juices good for our work and destroying those who do not give alms. (5)
सु॒ता अनु॒ स्वमा रजो॒ऽभ्य॑र्षन्ति ब॒भ्रवः॑ । इन्द्रं॒ गच्छ॑न्त॒ इन्द॑वः ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पीले रंग के एवं निचोड़े हुए सोम इंद्र की ओर जाते हुए अपने स्थान को प्राप्त करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
The yellow and squeezed mons get their place on their way to Indra. (6)
अ॒या प॑वस्व॒ धार॑या॒ यया॒ सूर्य॒मरो॑चयः । हि॒न्वा॒नो मानु॑षीर॒पः ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम उस धारा से नीचे टपको, जिस धारा के द्वारा तुमने मनुष्यों के हितकारक जलों को प्रेरित करते हुए सूर्य को प्रकाशित किया है. (७)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You fall down from the stream by which you have illuminated the sun, inspiring the waters of man's benefit. (7)
अयु॑क्त॒ सूर॒ एत॑शं॒ पव॑मानो म॒नावधि॑ । अ॒न्तरि॑क्षेण॒ यात॑वे ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
पवित्र होते हुए सोम मानवों के हित एवं अंतरिक्ष में गति के लिए सूर्य के रथ में घोड़े जोड़ते हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
Being holy, Som adds horses to the chariot of the Sun for the benefit of human beings and for the movement in space. (8)
उ॒त त्या ह॒रितो॒ दश॒ सूरो॑ अयुक्त॒ यात॑वे । इन्दु॒रिन्द्र॒ इति॑ ब्रु॒वन् ॥ (९)

इंद्र शब्द का उच्चारण करते हुए सोम दशों दिशाओं में जाने के लिए सूर्य के रथ में एतश नामक घोड़े जोड़ते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
Pronouncing the word Indra, Som adds a horse called Etash to the sun's chariot to go in the directions of the sun. (9)
परी॒तो वा॒यवे॑ सु॒तं गिर॒ इन्द्रा॑य मत्स॒रम् । अव्यो॒ वारे॑षु सिञ्चत ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे स्तोताओ! तुम इंद्र एवं वायु के लिए निचोड़े गए नशीले सोम को इस स्थान से उठाकर भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र पर सींचो. (१०)
EN English Translation
This stotao! You pick up the intoxicating som, squeezed for Indra and Air, from this place and water it on the dashapavitra made of sheep's hair. (10)
पव॑मान वि॒दा र॒यिम॒स्मभ्यं॑ सोम दु॒ष्टर॑म् । यो दू॒णाशो॑ वनुष्य॒ता ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे पवित्र होते हुए सोम! तुम हमें ऐसा धन दो जो हिंसक शत्रु द्वारा नष्ट न हो सके और शत्रु जिसका पार न पा सके. (११)
EN English Translation
O holy, Mon! Give us money that cannot be destroyed by a violent enemy and an enemy that cannot be overcome. (11)
अ॒भ्य॑र्ष सह॒स्रिणं॑ र॒यिं गोम॑न्तम॒श्विन॑म् । अ॒भि वाज॑मु॒त श्रवः॑ ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हमें बहुत संख्या वाला, गायों से युक्त एवं अश्वसहित धन दो तथा हमें बल और अन्न प्राप्त कराओ. (१२)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You give us riches, with a great number of cows, and with horses, and give us strength and food. (12)
सोमो॑ दे॒वो न सूर्योऽद्रि॑भिः पवते सु॒तः । दधा॑नः क॒लशे॒ रस॑म् ॥ (१३)

सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी एवं पत्थरों की सहायता से निचोड़े गए सोम अपना रस द्रोणकलश में धारण करते हुए टपकते हैं. (१३)
EN English Translation
As bright as the sun and squeezed with the help of stones, Som drips while holding his juice in dronkalash. (13)
ए॒ते धामा॒न्यार्या॑ शु॒क्रा ऋ॒तस्य॒ धार॑या । वाजं॒ गोम॑न्तमक्षरन् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ये निचुड़ते हुए एवं उज्ज्वल सोम यजमानों के घरों की ओर गायों से युक्त अन्न देते हुए जल की धारा के रूप में नीचे गिरते हैं. (१४)
EN English Translation
These fall down as a stream of water, giving food containing cows towards the houses of the waning and bright Som hostesses. (14)
सु॒ता इन्द्रा॑य व॒ज्रिणे॒ सोमा॑सो॒ दध्या॑शिरः । प॒वित्र॒मत्य॑क्षरन् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
वज्रधारी इंद्र के लिए निचोड़े गए एवं गाय के दूध से मिश्रित सोम दशापवित्र को पार करके टपकते हैं. (१५)
EN English Translation
Vajradhari crosses the Som Dashapavitra squeezed for Indra and mixed with cow's milk and drips. (15)
प्र सो॑म॒ मधु॑मत्तमो रा॒ये अ॑र्ष प॒वित्र॒ आ । मदो॒ यो दे॑व॒वीत॑मः ॥ (१६)

हे सोम! तुम अपने अतिशय मादक एवं देवाभिलाषी रस को हमें धन देने के लिए दशापवित्र पर गिराओ. (१६)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You drop your very intoxicating and deceptive juice on dashapavitra to give us money. (16)
तमी॑ मृजन्त्या॒यवो॒ हरिं॑ न॒दीषु॑ वा॒जिन॑म् । इन्दु॒मिन्द्रा॑य मत्स॒रम् ॥ (१७)

ऋत्विज् लोग हरे रंग के, शक्तिशाली, नशीले एवं पवित्र हुए उस सोम को इंद्र के लिए जलों में मसलते हैं. (१७)
EN English Translation
The ritwija people mash the green, powerful, intoxicating and holy monstrosity in the waters for Indra. (17)
आ प॑वस्व॒ हिर॑ण्यव॒दश्वा॑वत्सोम वी॒रव॑त् । वाजं॒ गोम॑न्त॒मा भ॑र ॥ (१८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम हमारे लिए स्वर्ण, घोड़ों और संतान से युक्त धन बरसाओ एवं हमारे लिए गायों से युक्त धन दो. (१८)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You shower us with gold, horses and offspring, and give us wealth containing cows. (18)
परि॒ वाजे॒ न वा॑ज॒युमव्यो॒ वारे॑षु सिञ्चत । इन्द्रा॑य॒ मधु॑मत्तमम् ॥ (१९)

हे ऋत्विजो! तुम युद्धाभिलाषी व अतिशय मधुर सोम को इंद्र के लिए भेड़ के बालों से बने दशापवित्र पर युद्ध के समान सींचो. (१९)
EN English Translation
Hey Ritvijo! You water the warlike and the most sweet Som like a war on dasapavittra made of sheep's hair for Indra. (19)
क॒विं मृ॑जन्ति॒ मर्ज्यं॑ धी॒भिर्विप्रा॑ अव॒स्यवः॑ । वृषा॒ कनि॑क्रदर्षति ॥ (२०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
रक्षा की अभिलाषा करते हुए बुद्धिमान् ऋत्विज् उंगलियों की सहायता से मसलने योग्य एवं क्रांतकर्म वाले सोम को मसलते हैं. अभिलाषापूरक एवं शब्द करते हुए सोम धारा के रूप में गिरते हैं. (२०)
EN English Translation
While wishing for protection, the wise ritwij with the help of fingers massages the emancipating and revolutionary som. The mons fall as streams while wishing and doing words. (20)
वृष॑णं धी॒भिर॒प्तुरं॒ सोम॑मृ॒तस्य॒ धार॑या । म॒ती विप्राः॒ सम॑स्वरन् ॥ (२१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
बुद्धि वाले ऋत्विज् अभिलाषापूरक एवं जल बरसाने वाले सोम को उंगलियों एवं स्तुतियों के साथ जल की धारा के रूप में प्रेरित करते हैं. (२१)
EN English Translation
The wise ritwijs inspire the desire-filled and water-showering Mon as a stream of water with fingers and hymns. (21)
पव॑स्व देवायु॒षगिन्द्रं॑ गच्छतु ते॒ मदः॑ । वा॒युमा रो॑ह॒ धर्म॑णा ॥ (२२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली सोम! धारा के रूप में गिरो. तुम्हारा नशीला रस आसक्त इंद्र के पास जावे. तुम अपने धारक रस द्वारा वायु को प्राप्त करो. (२२)
EN English Translation
O radiant Mon! Fall as stream. Go to indra, your intoxicating juice. You get to air by juice your holder. (22)
पव॑मान॒ नि तो॑शसे र॒यिं सो॑म श्र॒वाय्य॑म् । प्रि॒यः स॑मु॒द्रमा वि॑श ॥ (२३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे शुद्ध होते हुए सोम! तुम शत्रुओं के प्रशंसा योग्य धन को सभी प्रकार नष्ट करते हो. हे प्रिय सोम! तुम द्रोणकलश में जाओ. (२३)
EN English Translation
O you are pure, Mon! You destroy all manner of the praise worthy wealth of the enemies. O dear Mon! You go to Dronakalash. (23)
अ॒प॒घ्नन्प॑वसे॒ मृधः॑ क्रतु॒वित्सो॑म मत्स॒रः । नु॒दस्वादे॑वयुं॒ जन॑म् ॥ (२४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे नशीले एवं शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने वाले सोम! तुम हमें बुद्धि देते हुए छनते हो. तुम देवों की अभिलाषा न करने वाले राक्षसों को समाप्त करो. (२४)
EN English Translation
O mon who destroys the drug and the enemies! You give us wisdom. You eliminate the demons who do not desire the gods. (24)
पव॑माना असृक्षत॒ सोमाः॑ शु॒क्रास॒ इन्द॑वः । अ॒भि विश्वा॑नि॒ काव्या॑ ॥ (२५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
स्तुति वाक्यों को सुनने वाले, उज्ज्वल, दीप्तिशाली एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम ऋत्विजों द्वारा निर्मित होते हैं. (२५)

The hymns are made by the som ritwijs who listen to the sentences, being bright, radiant and pure. (25)
पव॑मानास आ॒शवः॑ शु॒भ्रा अ॑सृग्र॒मिन्द॑वः । घ्नन्तो॒ विश्वा॒ अप॒ द्विषः॑ ॥ (२६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
ऋत्विजों द्वारा शीघ्र गति वाले, शोभन, दीप्तिशाली एवं शुद्ध होते हुए सोम, शत्रुओं का हनन करने के लिए निर्मित होते हैं. (२६)

The quick-moving, soothing, glorious and pure mons are created by the Ritvites to abuse the enemies. (26)
पव॑माना दि॒वस्पर्य॒न्तरि॑क्षादसृक्षत । पृ॒थि॒व्या अधि॒ सान॑वि ॥ (२७)

शुद्ध होते हुए सोम स्वर्ग एवं धरती के उन्नत स्थानों एवं देवयज्ञ में निर्मित होते हैं. (२७)
EN English Translation
Being purified, Mons are created in the advanced places of heaven and earth and in the devyagna. (27)
पु॒ना॒नः सो॑म॒ धार॒येन्दो॒ विश्वा॒ अप॒ स्रिधः॑ । ज॒हि रक्षां॑सि सुक्रतो ॥ (२८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली एवं शोभनकर्म वाले सोम! तुम धारा के रूप में छनते हुए सभी शत्रुओं और राक्षसों को मारो. (२८)
EN English Translation
O radiant and doomed mon! Kill all the enemies and monsters while filtering as you stream. (28)
अ॒प॒घ्नन्सो॑म र॒क्षसो॒ऽभ्य॑र्ष॒ कनि॑क्रदत् । द्यु॒मन्तं॒ शुष्म॑मुत्त॒मम् ॥ (२९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! तुम राक्षसों का हनन करते हुए एवं शब्द करते हुए हमें दीप्तिशाली एवं श्रेष्ठ बल दो. (२९)
EN English Translation
Hey Mon! You give us the radiant and the best force by insulting the demons and saying words. (29)
अ॒स्मे वसू॑नि धारय॒ सोम॑ दि॒व्यानि॒ पार्थि॑वा । इन्दो॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ वार्या॑ ॥ (३०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली सोम! तुम झुलोक एवं धरती से संबंधित सभी वरण करने योग्य धनों को हमें दो. (३०)
EN English Translation
O radiant Mon! You give us all the selectable wealth related to the land and the earth. (30)
